Teddy Baldassarre I’d say maybe start your research now though...
"my wrist watch is augmented"
@@faisalingalong i got a casio A158wr and a seiko skx009 i think thats a good starting point. Im looking to get cheaper watches for now maybe a seiko 5 or an orient bambino. Leave my skx as the main prize watch
@MrLolmaster101 already got a 158 but if you are saying that a rolex or an omega are the same as a digital casio you got to be trippin.
Rolex watches like you showed are simply elegant, functional works of art. They are handsome timepieces. Certainly something I would love to have but are simply outside of a reasonable purchase for someone of my standard of living. Keep up the great work, Teddy.
Great first collaboration with Bobs watches.
I hope you’re able to do more vids along this line, but with varying brands. Very informative as always.
Cheers!
Thank you, my friend. They offer quite a bit of brands so plenty to work with on my end to create great content.
Hi Teddy, I've watching your videos lately and I must say, your channel is one of the best out there for the genre. It would be interesting if you could do a video on which one to get between a used Rolex or AP and a new Grand Seiko with spring drive (same price point). Of course the wow factor of Rolex and AP is priceless, on the other hand, the mesmerizing engineering of spring drive is second to none in my opinion. I wonder what your take on this. Thank you.
Love the Airking. One of the more affordable Rolex's, and one of the more unappreciated ones. Plus I believe worn by Tom Cruise in Cocktail which is one of the most 80s of the 80s films! What's not to like?! Good video Teddy
Great video,i own a air king date 1975,still keeps amazing time and you can wear it for all occasions.
When I get my next Christmas bonus my wife and I both said I could get an affordable Rolex... we will see if that actually happens when the time comes
Did you end up getting one mate?
Any update?
So what you get???
@@juan873212 he bought Casio. He is my neighbour
No update means he didn't get one
Really like your videos, you've brought a lot to my attention and helped expand my knowledge on watches altogether. I'd love to hear your thoughts on Farer watches soon
Love this video. Such a great guide 👍🏾
Incredible watches, I don't think I'll ever own a Rolex but I appreciate the hell out of them.
“Nice JUICY lume plots”... I’ve heard a lot of adjectives describing watches, but this is a first. 😂😂😂
Great video TB!
Hahaha I was waiting for someone to call that out 😂
Excellent video and selection. Thanks Teddy!
Such a nice video 👌🏾Thanks a lot !
Bravo. Outstanding dissertation on some practical Rolex classics.
Ones again! Great video! More of my dream watches.
When i was looking for my first Rolex, I was looking for an Airking 5500, Date 1500 or Oyster Perpetual 1002. At the end i got the 1500 :)
And i am loving it!
It's been 3 years, how is it
@@AssassinGG Still having my 1500. Its a keeper. But added an explorer which I wear more often now
@@bloodyslash damn you replied. And alright
The date just will always have a special place as it was my first and got me into this horrible hobby 😆
The perfect gateway drug to luxury watches.
Datejust, not “date just”
What was your second and 3rd.
Lastly how much would you consider paying for a datejust without a box. I can find them on Bob's watches for a decent price but I went to tourneau they are asking top dollar without box and papers should just be a deal breaker??? Thanks.
great video Teddy for iconic models
Very Good options!! I am a fan of the Datejust 16030 total Stainless Steel with machined bezel and silver dial. Got it 20 year ago and still makes me smile every time I wear it. Would love to change the Jubelee for solid end links and a better clasp. Anyhow a very nice everyday watch. Thank you for the well documented video.🤙
Thank you for the valuable information
The current Oyster Perpetual is a great looking and elegant watch.
Agreed. The white dial with the stick indices is a stunner.
Agreed ,I like the 36mm blue face explorer dial 😊
An Omega entry level might be a good idea for a next video. Keep up the excellent work.
Thanks for making this amazing content !
Great videos thanks. Just wondering what is a realistic price for Black explorer II 1990 to 2005 ?
Another great video Teddy!
Thank you David!
I have the Rhodium OP39 and my partner has a new Date. Tax free they cost the upper end of the ranges you stated, which makes they look great value for new watches with a 5 year warranty.
The OP39 Rhodium gets flak because of the blue markers, but IRL it is so subtle it is reall as conservative as any of these mentioned.
Good video!
I personally think the Oyster 39 (Blue Dial) is the best looking watch Rolex make.
Great video. Sad though about lack of turtleneck.
Great video, thanks!
Good job watch dude! Very educational. Thank you for your efforts! 🥰❤️👍
what reference do you recommend for the explorer I. ?
Do you have any recommendations for where to buy a certified pre-owned datejust?
I'm wanting to buy a rolex but in researching....its seeming to bother me the lack of anti glare coating. I'm wanting a blue dial but it bugs me the glare seems to kill the look unless viewed at a perfect angle.
What do you think about the new Explorer II(white dial M216570)?
Two tone with ivory pyramid dial is my favorite Rolex so far, follow with pink dial datejust.
Loving these videos teddy. Great to see affordable alternatives and more affordable used options! Keep it up.
These watches are no were near affordable
Hi teddy I don’t know if you will see this or get to responding to it, I’m looking to buy a watch and your extremely knowledgeable in them. I really enjoy the Rolex air king and the way it looks, but I’m in no position to afford it at its price point, is their a cheaper alternative? I’m looking something at or below 250$
I’ve been a little obsessed with a 1601 from 1969 (birth year) lately. I wish i wasn’t such a Yeti with 8 1/4” wrists
Love your vids!
Thank you Chris! I appreciate you watching!
What was your old intro theme? When it said fashion watches lifestyle in the beginning?
Great video; I'm looking at a Date Just to be my first Rolex.
On ya Teddy, always a pleasure 👌
Ahhhh I dream of having a Datejust with Blue Dial, Fluted Bezel and a Jubilee bracelet. Maybe, one day, when I achieve my dream Masters, I’ll buy one to mark that achievement. ❤️
Did you ever get one?
Great video
I have a 14010 in black. You can’t go wrong with this sapphire model:)
Very informative! Someday.....someday!!!! Lol
Hey Teddy, what happened to your pilot watches video?
Love the effort you put on a video. Keep up the good work.
Appreciate it Bob. It was a bit of work this one.
Do you have any recommendations on watches made in non-women sizes?
Nice video- How do I find Bobs watches to buy an entry level Rolex? I don’t see his link. Thank you
For someone like me with very large wrists I'd highly recommend looking into a used Rolex Submariner. if you shop around you could get a good deal and the watch is a staple in the watch community
Yesss a new video just in time for dinner! 👍🍜
What is for dinner? haha Very hungry at the moment.
@@TeddyBaldassarre Going basic tonight - some ramen with egg and veggies thrown in haha Great video as always, by the way. A similar themed video with Omega would be pretty cool! Looking forward to the next one. 👍
what is your favorite rolex oyster p color ?
Great video! I enjoy how you include ladies references, since not a lot of watch reviews consider there are women who are out there that do wear watches.
bruh what's the difference between the op date and op datejust besides the name because they look nearly identical and aren't SUPER different in pricing
Brand new to your channel ... So glad I found it! Thanks for sharing. This is just the sort of info I've been looking for!
I have a Rolex Air King 14000 purchased in 1998 and still working properly.
Thanks Teddy
Good job Brother, I have a 1601 from 1969 with the Piepan dial, I love it..
Thanks my friend. Awesome! Great choice!
What's the difference between the date and the date just? I mean why did they call one the "Date" and the other the "Date Just"?
If you love the 36mm Explorer check out the Oyster Perpetual 116000-0002 the blue dial is stunning and great value..for me it's the perfect 1 watch collection looking great sports casual or with a suit ..
I have the 36 OP in blue and its my only watch other than a digital Casio i use occasionally. I am a big fan of the 36mm explorer and really love the look of that watch, unfortunately the bracelet lets it down a bit, hence why i got the OP. The blue dial on the OP is amazing, it changes colour in different lighting and is versatile, the watch feels really sturdy and would easily outlive me.
I have that as well. Absolutely love it
Oh yeah, I adore mine.
Teddy how about posting the prices of the watches when they came out to their today's prices.
my 1983 Rolex Oyster Datejust was stolen last year, missing it like crazy, hoping the insurance money comes in soon so I can purchase another one. :( Great video as always Teddy!
Hi Teddy, Can you do a video on all about the Cartier watches including how it is manufactured? This is more geared towards female viewers I am sure. Also discuss the panthere watch that was relaunched a few years ago?
Your thoughts on Filippo Loreti, please.
Nice job
are the giveaways international or united states only?
Thank you
I like the no date Oyster Perpetual best. Clean dial! Thanks for another great video Teddy! 😃
Thank you for watching, AJ.
Great video!
You should do a video on the new AP line and tell us your thoughts
Haha I was thinking about it. I think it could be a good rant video.
Teddy Baldassarre There’s definitely plenty to rant about!!! 😂
Considering their sizes, I'd personally consider each if these as ladies watches. I have a 7.5" wrist, and these would look like I'm wearing a U.S. 25-cent piece on my wrist. Any similar suggestions for us larger viewers? Thanks Teddy! (BTW, I'm still waiting for Courtney to call me...) 😁
An Interesting video. I'm doing my best to understand the attraction of Rolex as a brand compared to others. The Explorer does have something about it though that just screams buy me...:)
How do you like the new Air King? I think it's a unique design that gives it personality, but I prefer the clean look of the original models.
It's a monstrosity, IMO! lol
GREAT ENTRY LEVEL ROLEX WATCHES !!!!
What is the watch collection battle ?
Do you have a video listing a few places to buy used watches that are authentic? How can we be sure they’re not fake?
Really enjoying your videos Teddy . I'm not a watch collector of expensive watches but watches in general . I own about 20 and attempt to fix others . My most expensive watch is a Oskar Emil Adriatica Chronograph 156 but I was an online purchase complete with original wooden case . Other than that I have a Rip Curl Moon Phase $275 and a Jag Tachymeter $300.. All the rest of my watches are between $25 -$160 I guess.. IF and it's a pretty big if I ever do find a Rolex of TAG or similar watch how important is it to secure the paperwork for it as well . I expect it would be a huge advantage for authenticity purposes ..
Love the Air King and it’s my target until I can afford an Explorer.
I have a Rolex Air King 14000 purchased in 1998 and still working properly.
My favorite.
Thoughts on the 6694?
Blue dial with gold markers..wow!
So whats the difference between the date and datejust
The Date Just with the grey dial, gorgeous! Nice video, I saw very good ideas for videos on the page! Keep the good work!
I know! I am excited to bring some to life. That moon phase video is a great idea.
Teddy Baldassarre thanks!
Thx
I was considering buying an OP or Explorer, but instead I got myself a couple of small SNK/SNX Seiko 5s. I'm so glad I did! They look as good or better, I can share them with my kids without worrying, and wearing them makes me happy in a way my bigger more expensive watches don't. I seriously advise anybody interested in buying an entry level Rolex to try one of those Seikos first, unless it's the brand and associated status you're after.
Those little Seikos do look nice, i had a Seiko Sarb033 but when i got a Rolex i realized why it costs so much more. Nothing beats a Rolex. I've had lots of watches in the past, including Tag, Longines, Seiko, Tissot and Hamilton. The experience and feeling a Rolex gives you cannot be matched.
What’s a reputable Pre owners site ?
Teddy's been working out.
I just bought my first rolex which happened to be a date 1501. Really looking forward to putting some wear in on it!
Mi first date just cost me 1,700 usd in 1987. Totally new in stainless steel.
Hi Teddy!
You're awesome :)
Hey Teddy I wanted to ask you a question from a person who’s owned a timed marlin 34mm. I’ve been debating for a long period of time whether I should buy it. The problem is I’ve heard story that it’s really loud and that’s what sets me off so I’ll like your Professional input. Thanks great Video BTW
Hi Ricky! I think it is a slick watch. I have done a review on it. The ticking on Timex mechanical watches are not bad. The quartz... that’s another story.
Teddy Baldassarre thanks for responding to my question . Long time fan of yours keep up the amazing videos, literally if it weren’t for a lot of your videos I would’ve never started a watch collection.
get a watch technician /water repair specialist (some experience watch person who deals with watches servicing and repair daily) , pay them a fee to have the watch authenticated before buying. will need to arrange the seller to be there too. i think in USA, it might be called Jeweller ???
Considering the msrp on a new op34 is only $5800 CAD (about $4300 USD), spending 3 or 4k USD on a vintage air king or op doesn't feel like good advise to me
Wai Ma they go up in value....
New Air King is 6800.
@@MrPeteragent new airline has nothing to do with the old airking. The new one is vile 😁 personally I dont like it anyway, I would buy a new Op34/36/39 depending on the size you prefer. I dont see the value in saving a small amount for a watch that is not as well made and will need a service. They dont go up in value 99% of the time- only sports ones do
5500, 1002 which one is better?
I havent worn many rolex.. But they are so much better in person.. They feel like money!
Pueden traducir este video es muy bueno deberías traducirlo
I own a datejust with a smooth bezel. I LOVE it and yes I wear it EVERYDAY... why? because I bought my watch FOR ME....NOT to keep it in the box it came in for the next owner... just me!! 🙂
Collaboration with Bobs is brilliant 👍🏻
Which is the cheepast watch in rolex
Hearing the prices from back than makes me wish I bought some of these 4 years ago
Yeah... they are expensive now 😢😢😢
rolex oyster perp 16234 now ~10K . 3 years later. so, spot on with price prediction 100% gain in 3 years
