Definitely recommend bass traps. They made a huge difference in my room. Especially after switching to the big 18's and 24's. Along with all the good came room rattles and reverberations which I cant stand. And even with it EQ'd at my seats the peaks in other areas of the room could be heard. So they made a huge difference in that regard. When you rip out that back wall you can put the new one up like a foot off the back, and put nice sized traps behind them. They don't have to be pretty since you won't see them. Probably behind the screen too. I did some 4" treatment on the ceiling also but not sure those really did anything.
Looking good! What said something happened when you turned up the bass, but wasn’t specific? Did the system shut down? 🎉 Also, with your high ceilings, I wonder if maybe double stacking the tonnen 2” panels would help. Second, I think you may benefit from adding Diffusion panels in between the acoustic panels? Might help acoustics a lot! As of now there are only sound deadeners.. 🎉 just a thought! Ps. More subwoofer vids! 🎉
A suggestion why not have your calibrator check in room Revelation Time using REW and then make the correct educated decisions before adjusting the acoustic treatment. You may see in the measurements that you need thicker/multi stacked panels to treat the correct areas or maybe not do anything at all.
The updates to your theater are looking really good! Big improvements!
Great job Chris!
Great work Chris! 0:15
My twisters steel book was delayed also. I ended up canceling and picking up in person.
I’m hoping Godzilla Minus one isn’t delayed!

Your noise floor is about where mine is.
I have to try that noise floor. It’s really quiet in my basement HT. I wanna see just how quiet.
You should do BEQ with those subs.
@@flyers10az a lot of people have mention that to me. I need to look into it.

Man Chris I love ya man.. But I don't think you will ever finish that room brother. Haha.

@@wendellwendellb339 that’s awesome
I go with Amazon, but, I don’t need the steel book. I only care about the disc, not what the disc is in!
What did you have the SPL meter set at for the noise floor?
@@wendellwendellb339 A weight , slow
What's those black velvet on the floor
