    Wouldnt you benefit if the z axis only moved the plate and not the entire assembly?

      It's a modified RepRapFirmware, it's open source, and clean code so it's easy to modify. Running on a Duet 3D board.

      The print failed miserably after a while. Getting the plastic to behave at those speeds is very hard. I just wanted to show the quick movements of the machine. It moved very fast without barely shaking the desk it's standing on. Low weight of moving parts.
