  • Showing off some moves of the machine. Acceleration is set to 6000mm/s^2 and speed to 1500mm/s (not sure it reaches that).
I should make the "forearms" longer to get better reach on the sides and back.

Well done! I laughed out loud when it went off the print bed! Amazing work. This is definitely the future of 3d printing

How it wraps around itself would be so amazing for many small parts on a U shaped buildplate

A little late to the party, but would this benefit from counterweights? It would increase the cost (Many more joints) and the moving mass, but it should remove a lot of the torsion from the main bearings.

do you plan to implement automatic work mode switching?
and please try to use the scara setup with a belt printer bed. that way one could get rid of linear rails/bearings on the hole printer.

Linear bearings and movement is far easier to use and get accurate than rotating joints, assuming you get good linear bearings. I have spent many hours measuring, filing, bending and tweaking the joints of this machine to make it accurate.
The plan is to allow work mode changes. For the general machine it very much depends on the limits of the arm angles and lengths of the arms if it is a good idea.

That was mental, can extruder actually keep up with that speed?
