Great instructional video! However, you don't need to reset to factory to free up 10 GB. You can just insert a microSD card and move several internal folders to the new external storage space, sufficient to free up 10GB of internal free space. I moved screenshots and thumbnails, and some older DJI files of unknown purpose, but they are still on the microSD card if ever needed. After installation, you can even move some of them back, as it returns 4GB of free space of the 10GB required to install the 1.8GB install file.
I just got my RC Pro today and I'm glad I stumbled on this video. I'm happy to know about the virtual app where I can practice on the Avata manual mode, virtually....thank you.
Thank you! I’m a photographer who purchased the Mavic 3 Cine version as a first time drone pilot. I’m so intimidated, it’s difficult to learn to fly it. This simulator should help tremendously
Remember that everyone who first learns to fly a drone has their heart in their mouths initially. My advice would be to practice only one or two things on each flight/battery. Take your time. Plan what you want to focus on each time. Practice, practice, practice. I noticed that after a while things became either automatic for me, or I learned from each mistake. However, it is easy to slip into some lazy/complacent habits, so always try to have a definite plan when you go flying.
@@CaminoAir I think most photographers would take baby steps, rather than jumping to the pretty expensive Cine, you could always get a mini 3 pro and use that for training and as a backup for commercial work. Beside this flight simulator, it's best you find an open field (no nearby power line etc) with softish ground and use a drone landing pad, (use a box as your filming subject) to practice your moves and get an absolute understand of the controls and settings. As you are doing videography, flying smoothly is a must (adjust the cine mode to slow down the sensitivity of the controls, previously tripod mode) and circling around your subject whilst camera pointed always on your subject is a must. Practise all those moves you require for filming. 30m AGL is fine. just my two cents:)
When you do a factory reset, what do you lose? I assume that any videos or photos will be gone., which shouldn't be an issue since they should be on the drone or downloaded already. Also, I assume that a reset will require all the updates to be downloaded again. Does the simulator have any gimbal control? I have the Mavic 3, but do need some practice just flying precision, especially as the weather gets cold.
There has to be a way to divert the install to a sd card instead of using the internal memory... once you can download to a sd card then you'll have all the memory to use the app....
Hope you touch on the new firmware update that adds rfid for American pilots...I'm canadian but like to fly over the st lawerence River which is the boarder between US and Canada in the Ontario/New York area...I'd rather not be tracked...so not looking to install the latest firmware
Was trying this today with my DJI RC PRO but the app won’t finished the installation. It ends at 80% ish and says “app not installed”. I got a question to agree to install apps from third party, but the result was the same. Tried to move it to a SD card but same results and it won’t install
oddly, I can't find the direct link anywhere. I would just copy what I see on your screen, but your link is shortened with the triple dot (...). do you happen to have that link? Thanks!
I don't think so (but I'm open to correction). As far as I'm aware, the RC doesn't have internal storage and also it is a closed system, unlike the RC PRO on which you can download apps.
So, I got excited that this would be a virtual Flight for the Air 2S. But apparently not. Are you aware of any programs that work with the Air 2S and the RC Pro for virtual flight? Thanks.
Hello has anyone recently successfully tried this. I have downloaded the apk, the installation starts, goes to the installation process but then says that the app is not installed.
Shawn I have the Mavic mini 2 and the controller will this work on my Avata as well or do I need the smart pro I can’t seem to get another controller that works with my new drone FPV Avata
Hi Sean, Thanks for the great video. I have a question related to the Mini 3 Pro Firmware update regarding the Remote ID, and that is “Does Remote ID apply to Canadian Airspace as well or just in the US?”
This is probably a stupid question…but the simulator is built right into the controller without any additional software needed to run it? I don’t need to connect it to my Pc etc to use it? I can just sit on my bed and use the flight sim straight from the controller?
@@AirPhotography thanks for the reply, so you can only fly fpv drones in the app? I have a mavic 3 and want some practice with that for when I’m not able to fly outside.
I suppose as the same as everybody else, I HAVE TO WONDER whether or NOT simply ‘upgrading with EVERY prompting’ is ACTUALLY worth it..or wll it bring with issues..or MORE issues..? Not being a REAL “techy” 62 year old, I’m STILL having a couple of issues that a upgrade gave me from some time back. I hesitate “deleting” stuff that, FOR THE MOST PART..is working good. In other words I can more than LIVE with it..until I figure out the ACTUAL fix. I SURELY don’t HAVE to have the FPV stuff with my A2S/ RC Pro combo..although I get the appeal, really it’d be fun. Love the RC Pro controller for sure and do NOT want to screw it up! Is it WORTH the hassle IF there’s oncoming issues..? THAT’S the question for me.
RC PRO is a jem . it has many good tricks up it's sleeve . no wonder it costs more . I have 1. i do all my video editing right on it. 1080p is the limit but it's enough for what I do.
I have the rc pro but I have been thinking of selling it and my dji air 2s. I live in the US and I am trying to avoid selling it on ebay or facebook marketplace.
This update imo has ruined the active track, pre the update with support for viewing the sensors view during flight it now acts aggressive during active track and has increased crash risk... Im not sure what they have done but its junk now compared to when the 4p was released... The 3p now out performs it in obstacle avoidance, i really hope they put it back to how it was before

Thanks. Will the virtual flight app work on any Android device we use to fly our Dji drones, or is it specific to the RC Pro?

Hoy to dowloader app DJI VIRTUAL en controller CR Dji ? No wach app .........
Would love a flight sim on the Mini 3 RC
DJI is probably gimping the DJI RC by not allowing this on the controller.
olá... naõ achei o link de download e instalação do virtual flight app para o rc pro.... você poderia me ajudar ??? me mande o link.... obrigado...
Can I use the Dji RC for the flight simulator?
I need to know exactly what "fixed some bugs" is.
Crazy happy to see that!
Hi, willl this also work on the DJI Smart Controller?
Current info doesn’t have the link to download the virtual flight app. Any suggestions as to where else we can download?
Work mini 4 pro ?
I just got app the app installed, and it's fun to fly with. I'm really good a flying FPV on the app, LOL. Now I just need the Avata.
Awesome Ron. Yes indeed it is fun even just flying it virtually.
Wow. I absolutely love it and I can see the avata AND THE DJI FPV DRONE being controlled by the RC pro very VERY SOON. Great video bud..
Mikey
I don’t think that will happen
@@jacobbirch21 Exactly, can't go into a manual mode on the RC controllers.

I cant work out how to add 3rd party apps onto the SC Pro do you have any videos on how todo it 🤔
Is there a virtual flight training program for the Mini Pro 4?
i'd like to know as well
Can i also do this with rc2?
It would be cool if this could be done on the Dji RC remote.
Yes, indeed it would. I wonder if the processor is fast enough however
this app is working by touch screen on my rc pro😁 but rc switch is not working...😢 why?...plz reply..
Hello has anyone recently successfully tried this. I have downloaded the apk, the installation starts, goes to the installation process but then says that the app is not installed.
Exact same thing happens to me when I try to install on the RC Pro Controller. Very frustrating!
I’m struggling to install the DJI Virtual Flight app on my RC Pro. How do I solve this issue? Thanks.
Thanks, this has been very helpful.
Hi it works on mini 3 pro rcn2?
Any way to add the Virtual Flight Sim to the RC controller?
I would really wish that there was
hey, did you find something?
Is this good for practising flying the non-FPV range of DJI drones (e.g. Air 2S, Mini 3 Pro etc.), or are the controls completely different? 🙂
They are so similar, but the feel is quite different. If you leave it in normal or sport mode it may be beneficial
@@AirPhotography Thank you, I've installed it on my controller now so I'll have a play with it 🙏🏼
Could you tell how to do it with the DJI RC controller?
Hey, do you found a way to do it? Or any simulator which can work on DJI RC ?
Wish the older smart controller supported the virtual flight apk :(
Can I connect the DJI rc to the computer as a controller for the simulator?

I believe only the RC pro not a smart controller. But I’ve never tried it so I can’t say for certain.
@@AirPhotography @poisongaming9155 i can install it - but not use the sticks to fly so far. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Unfortunately not
can i instal on dji rc pro enterprise?

You can use the older DJI goggles.
is there a flight simulator for the dji mini 2?
Not at the moment, only for both the FPV drones the DJI Avata and the DJI FPV

That is correct. Once you download the software to the controller, it’ll just run. Essentially the controller is its own computer.
