The suspected criminal's car looks like something The Joker would drive around in back in Adam West's Batman show; and I am all for it!
I find it funny how they managed to get the prison stripes on the crook's blouse.
While watching this, I kept thinking you were gong to draw attention to the fact that the muscle car's front end had one of those modular lego city car bumper slots. But then you moved the camera down, and I realized it didn't have them. It's a shame they've seemingly abandoned that gimmick. It was fun.

In the same vein as the handcuffs, where does the officer put the prisoner when they catch them? I can't resist those wheel arch pieces, love these.
Didn't realize red and blue lights were a big deal. I think it makes sense to add some more color and also because many places in the world use red/blue lights for police
I bought this set and agree - these are nice cars for 6+ - well designed. Love the green car more than I expected. A great value!
When i first saw the pictures, i had a thought. And now i know it for shure... this is a Batman vs Joker set in the City line!! 😄😄
I like what they’re doing with not-Speed Champions vehicles. The muscle car seems very customisable
I think it is a fun set and would have loved this as a kid. Cool big car with fins, and the sporty police car reminds me of hearing stories as a kid that the California Highway Patrol had a Lamborghini.
Having got used to 8 stud-wide speed champions, I forgot how good 6 stud wide cars can be. That's a nice set at a good price.

It is a great set imo. I actually went halvsies with a friend for this set. I wanted the cop car and he liked the muscle car. He has a fixation on the color green, plus he really liked Criminal Waifu. I liked the cop car, plus the cop looks like Chase McCain. Honestly this could have been the third "High-Speed Chase" set.

This cop car is basically a Lego version of the police Lamborghini they had in Dubai.
It's interesting. It really looks like the lime muscle car is proportioned to allow for a roof, with the minifig being so down low. Should be an easy mod.
The cars remind me of vehicles from the cartoon Pole Position from the 80's, just need to modd the colors and body a little.
As stripes are mandatory for Lego criminals, I love how this criminal embraces her criminal status so much that she's stylized her striped shirt!

I actually like the green car! Down here in Texas, old school- big body cars w low profile wheels and loud color ways are very popular
I think putting a 2x2 plate with 2 studs on it under the drivers would make the driver position look better too and it's an easy fix. I wonder why Lego didn't do that?
LEGO City police have the budget for a Koenigsegg apparently.
I used pieces from the Lego 2K Modified vehicles set to mod the Police Car , it can now use the Blasters , Blades , and Boosters from that set.
I really like the look of both cars, I'd absolutely get this set and make minor modifications to make them look a bit cleaner
Lego has traditionally used only blue lights as that is how the police cars are in Denmark (and the rest of the Nordic countries), I think the red and blue lights is to fit better into the US market.
Great set! I'm happy about the clear canopy piece, I think it's going to be useful for custom builds.

The criminals car would work as a serpentine car, and the wanted poster looks like Nya, so this set could work with Ninjago well

The canopy piece would be great for a recreation of FAB 1 from the TV show ‘Thunderbirds’!
Personally i will be buying a few more of this set mainly to replace the old police intercepter i have in my current police department

It looks like there is plenty of space to raise the cop seat up with the 2x2 that has the two studs to make sitting easy. I just want a little curve on the sides of the green car. Nice pair of cars for the price.

I don't really have much of an opinion on the use of red and blue as itself, but I do find it amusing they adopted the "american" standard of red and blue the same year they switched to a UK style uniform. I appreciate the de-militarization of the police as well. I'm glad the police emblem is a sticker, it allows us to leave it off and just use the police car as a pretty great supercar style car
I think in both vehicles it's possible to add the tile with 2 studs on it as a seat, to raise the figures a little bit.

I really wish Lego would do some old-school or some actual realistic new school police vehicles not just police, but do some sheriff state trooper. Maybe some wildlife officers I don’t know it just seems like year after year. It’s kind of the same thing.

Nitpicks from me: Why can't Lego come up with a way to build cars without that big ol' cheatin' chassis piece? Also, the police person needs a hairpiece. Fix this, Lego. Also I'd leave all stickers off this set. Good review, Jang.
