    Thank you! I'm a 71 year old woman and I just followed your instructions and replaced an old leaky faucet with the one you used in this demo. It was hard to get the old one off and I had to cut a water line and scrape out the hole to make it big enough for the new faucet, but I did it. My brother in law is a plumber and he stopped by after I finished to check it out - and he gave me a thumbs up. You really helped me out here. Thank you. And by the way, that is a REALLY nice faucet - well worth the money.

    Thank you so much for this easy to understand video. My brother started the install but had to leave. I couldn't let our 76 yr old Mama do without water until he gets time to come back & I had never installed a faucet. I'm disabled and was worried if I could finish but you made it easy to follow along (with many pauses & rewinds 😆) and now she has water. AND, unlike the previous faucet that literally only had a #2 pencil width water stream, it has a full output and the sprayer works! 🙂

I recommend this faucet for easy installation. The only tools for the install was tightening the water lines at the end with a wrench. Old faucet removal necessitated a trip to Lowe's.

      @@RoscoReviews Yeah my other one had two flat wingnut fasteners that I couldn't get off with what I had. Lowe's had a faucet change out tool made by Kobalt that I found that I attached to a ratchet to get the fasteners off. Also, my house was built in the 70s and the water shut offs under the sink are frozen open so I had to shut off the water outside while changing the faucet.

    What does the sprayer connect to when you shove it up with the th other lines? 🤷

    • @RoscoReviews
      @RoscoReviews  13 дней назад +1

      The inside of the hole on the underneath side of the faucet is some kind of push fitting. the hose gets held in place by the black clip that you snap onto the sprayer line. They switched to this style a few years ago and at first I was kind of skeptical. However, I have installed many of these, and I have never had one that leaked. so I guess they have it figured out.

  • @frankrodriguez4334
    @frankrodriguez4334 2 месяца назад +1

    How does the sprayer hose connect by just shoving it into the hose, does it connect to something?

    • @RoscoReviews
      @RoscoReviews  2 месяца назад

      The sprayer hose snaps in using that black clip. The black clip is snapped onto the end of the sprayer hose and then you shove them into the base of the faucet (only goes in one way). When it clicks, it’s locked in there. To remove it you have to pinch the black clip together.
      It’s a little strange when you are use to screwing everything together, but I’ve never had one leak.

    • @RoscoReviews
      @RoscoReviews  11 месяцев назад +2

      It’s hard to say without looking at it.
      If their are no shutoff valves to remove the supply lines from… then you may need to cut the lines and install shutoff valves under the sink.

    • @RoscoReviews
      @RoscoReviews  Год назад +1

      Hmm. It’s thought to say. If you have it like halfway on and it’s stuck then it is probably cross threaded. If that’s the case, then I think the only way to correct it would be to force it to unscrew (May take a wrench or some pliers) then try it again.

    Out of curiosity, the black plastic nut that pulls the faucet down onto the sink is threaded closer to one end than the other. Does it matter which way it goes on? Thank you.

    • @RoscoReviews
      @RoscoReviews  11 месяцев назад +1

      It doesn’t matter. I think they do that so if you are putting it on a stainless steel sink (this is very thin) you can use the side that is wider. That way you don’t have to spin it so many times. But, if you have a granite countertop with an under mount sink (this can be 1.5” think or so) you can use the side that is close to the thread.
      It just makes it so you don’t have to screw it down so much on a thinner sink.

      The black clip has two little arms. Pull them into the hose and then the hose can be pulled out. You may need to wiggle it around a bit to get it out.

    I’ve had one of these for years and now I’m getting water under the sink from time to time and I see wetness at the part coming down through the hole, the part the hoses go into, is wet, how do I figure out the source of the leak if I never see it drip? Could it be water splashed above in the faucet flange area is leaking through the seals and down, or would water inside the handle is leaking down? Or something else? Again, I see the area under the sink the hoses go up into the faucet is wet. When I run water I don’t see it getting any wetter though.

      The most common leak in a kitchen faucet is the o-rings where the neck swivels. They are pretty easy to replace and really inexpensive. That is where I would start. And it’s my most popular video. lol. Here is how to replace the o-rings:

    Okay, so I have this exact sink faucet and I wanna upgrade my sprayer because the sprayer that comes with it broke but in order to do that I need to find some sort of adapter. Do you have any ideas of what I could use?

    • @RoscoReviews
      @RoscoReviews  Год назад

      You should be able to replace just the handle with a universal one. You probably have to reuse the hose unless you go with the exact Moen replacement.
      To replace the handle, you unscrew the handle part. Then there is a little clip to pull off, this will allow the bottom threaded part to slide off.
      Replace everything with the new one in reverse order.
      I don’t have a video up for this or I would share it… but I should make one! Thanks for the idea. :)

    • @sonjakeesee6977
      @sonjakeesee6977 Год назад

      Yeah, the problem is the connector that connects to the Fossett is a certain kind and they don’t make an adapter for that one. At least not that I can find and I’ve had a heck of a time trying to find an adapter but I do have a universal one, I’m gonna end up splicing two houses together which I didn’t want to do. I’m very frustrated right now but the hose that I bought which was a nice nylon one around the hose I can’t connect it because the way this faucet is made and the sprayer it doesn’t work. You can’t do doctors you can’t do nothing. I’ve even contacted the company and nothing very frustrated at this point. Sorry, talk to text

    • @RoscoReviews
      @RoscoReviews  Год назад

      I’ve never tried to look for an adapter. Whenever I have needed to replace a sprayer I just reuse the existing hose and put a new head on it.

    Hi. Thank you for video.
    But during leak tests I figured out that when I put water on the base, where rotating part is attached to base, the water leaks under the sink. I checked and I found a plastic o-ring there, which does not protect from leacking there. Any suggestion how to fix it please?

    • @RoscoReviews
      @RoscoReviews  11 месяцев назад

      If it is leaking around the base than you can caulk under the base. If it’s between the base and the neck, you shouldn’t have much water hitting that area. I’ve never needed to seal that before. I’m not sure if you can without affecting the swiveling.
