      Any boost will work to goose the front end. Soldano Slo 30 or 100 has a billion x more note clarity and mids that allow CUT live as well !

      @@cragginshred I’ve been following your channel (music gear posts) for quite a while, and THIS sounds incredible, even through YT! Always thought the Smallbox complimented your playing. Sounds great!!

      @@hotroderdk Thank you sir!! I literally stress over gear -finding the right tone ect. So many boutique higher gain type amps can only do that and miss the classic type rock tone. This thing stays Marshall, but is crushing in the lows without losing the mids!

      @@cragginshred completely agree!! I couldn’t have said that any better!! Good musicians should stress over things like this though. Your attention to detail keeps us happy too!!

    Soldano 30 or small box? Can’t decide for my 70”s and 80’s hard rock

    • @cragginshred
      @cragginshred  2 года назад +1

      I pick Slo 30 all day long. Slo with man SD-1 level boost into the front will cut all day long in a mix. Small box sounds fantastic with a Les Paul but for some reason, likely the low mids voicing other guitars don't cut as well -to my ears.

      @@cragginshred thank you. What are your thoughts on the Friedman BE-100 not the Deluxe.

    • @cragginshred

      @@GuitarzFromMarz Only played thru and owned the Deluxe. Pretty sure the BE ch is the same tho. More smooth post production gain.
