@@cragginshred I’ve been following your channel (music gear posts) for quite a while, and THIS sounds incredible, even through YT! Always thought the Smallbox complimented your playing. Sounds great!!
@@hotroderdk Thank you sir!! I literally stress over gear -finding the right tone ect. So many boutique higher gain type amps can only do that and miss the classic type rock tone. This thing stays Marshall, but is crushing in the lows without losing the mids!
@@cragginshred completely agree!! I couldn’t have said that any better!! Good musicians should stress over things like this though. Your attention to detail keeps us happy too!!
I pick Slo 30 all day long. Slo with man SD-1 level boost into the front will cut all day long in a mix. Small box sounds fantastic with a Les Paul but for some reason, likely the low mids voicing other guitars don't cut as well -to my ears.
I keep thinking about buying one ,I bought the sm box pedal which I love ,but I still can’t shake the small box amp 🤣😜the sm box your playing sounds great 😎
At about 4 ish. Over the weekend I have concluded using the PS2 is introducing unwanted tones. Must be due to final power section become 6L6 tubes and the Small box is voiced for it's own El34's
@@mKreifeldt Ha! Ya she is a keeper, not because she likes my hard rock in playing but because she never asks what UPS is dropping off next😃. I don’t keep it in the front room unless I’m getting ready to transport it to a gig 🤙
I just picked up the tumnus for my smallbox after watching your video. This is what I missing! Thanks.
sounds great
Totally want one
This sounds stellar, I have ordered a smallbox and am hoping it sounds as good as this! I’ll have to buy a Tumnus as well!
Any boost will work to goose the front end. Soldano Slo 30 or 100 has a billion x more note clarity and mids that allow CUT live as well !
@@cragginshreddo you prefer the soldano over smallbox 50?
What are your pickups in your Paul? Your Rig sounds Fabulous
Thanks! Those are the classic buckers -only Gibson pick I like!
Daaanngg...sounds absolutely great! So much Marshall punch and clarity.
Thanks and agreed, I'm so happy with the tone I have now!

Soldano 30 or small box? Can’t decide for my 70”s and 80’s hard rock

@@cragginshred thank you. What are your thoughts on the Friedman BE-100 not the Deluxe.
@@GuitarzFromMarz Only played thru and owned the Deluxe. Pretty sure the BE ch is the same tho. More smooth post production gain.
how would celestion heritage 65 or creamback 65 speakers sound with the small box. getting my slo any day, can’t wait to play it - sd1 my favorite od.
Did you end up keeping this one? I just sold my SLO30 and am looking at a Helios 50 and a Smallbox and you’ve had both.
so what pickups were in the Les Paul? Thanks!
Classicbuckers
@@cragginshred what are classicbuckers? who makes them?

how do you think it would sound on a Peavey 6505 with Sheffields?
No idea

Thanks, I just tried it with my Fryette ps2 to be able to get the SB tubes cooking and WOW -ck my newest vid!
What are your master volume settings here my man?

It sounds like it’s really cooking.
