  • Meet Lee, a captivating visual and graphic artist based in the vibrant city of Pittsburgh. Lee's heart beats to the rhythm of art and music. As a devoted creator, Lee dives into the realms of visual and graphic art, skillfully blending vibrant colors and innovative design.
This show was born out of a love for jazz music, and “Envisioning a Just Pittsburgh,” leading to the creation of Ahmad Jamal’s Dream, which further led to this wonderful opportunity to reflect on the rich Jazz History of Pittsburgh. I have always loved music and grew up singing in Churches and producing hip-hop music, which has inspired me to create this collection using my talent in visual arts.
Inspiration from my Spotify playlist and a recent discussion with a famous poet, thanks to the CLP, sparked the idea to continue my visual jazz series, first paying homage to those from my hometown, which I found the contributions to be monumental. Since I was so shocked that I had not known the depths of African American talent in jazz resonating from our area, I wanted to share this with the community through my visual artwork. Please enjoy my interpretation of these jazz greats in various visual art styles and the era in which they lived.
