I’m 37. This was like when me and my buddies talk about who was the best high school football player 😂 I love it though. Travis was literally the best in the world at one point with both arms. Devon is the new goat and John is the OG goat. Travis is still young enough to get back on that cycle and start training seriously. He did his job getting his son to the NFL. What else does he have to do now. At least go find out.

The legacy hammers always were backwards to begin with. Marcio, Devon and Mask are engraved because they held that WAL hammer at the 225lbs weight limit in WAL. Travis who held the WAL super heavyweight hammers around that time isn't engraved on the legacy hammers though. Why? Now the legacy hammers are contested exclusively at super heavyweight but Marcio and Mask are engraved there and Travis an actual WAL super heavyweight champion didn't even get engraved. Makes zero sense

Devon feels he was the best from 2008 until 2018 when he lost to Dennis but IMHO after 2010 Pushkar and Dennis on the right and Dennis on the left were the best in the world.
Travis could beat ANYBODY in that time frame also. He pinned Devon 8 times in sin city and beat him at wal overalls.

I see it like this… if you win a gold medal at a pal tournament then will you bring it to the next pal tournament to give it to whoever wins gold at the next if you don’t win gold? No, you hang that shit up on your wall and now it’s yours forever. If you win gold in two pal tournaments then you’ll have two medals or trophies or whatever at your house for the rest of your life. If I win a hammer from wal then I’m not giving it to someone who beats me in an east vs west match. I see what Devon’s trying to do with the legacy hammer but he can’t expect Denis or anyone for that matter to be on the same page. Maybe he could get them to play along if he would ask them to join him in this idea. It’s just not the standard to give up your trophies unless that’s the policy in one specific organization. Trophies do not transcend organization in my mind. They are organization specific. That’s why it says WAL real big on the side of that thing.

Thing with Devons Legacy hammer is John and Marcio name is on hammer. These dudes was in 209 lbs class. 225 lbs class, who won the hammer are not them really. Jerry(I think), Dave, and Travis who won right handed hammer. And Travis is the one who won left handed before year 2017.
That my take on it. Theirs name should be on hammer then. Not Brzenk or Marcio. That are my only take.

The legacy hammers have absolutely nothing to do with past events. They’re symbols of the CURRENT champions for each arm. Travis knows he can’t even come close to Devon now that Devon can finally focus on AW full time so he’s too scared to even pull regardless of hammers or past results. He can gladly try and take either of them. Levan has the right and Denis has the left. You’re acting like Devon self proclaimed trophies he’s got sitting at home on a shelf. Travis is obviously right here. The entire idea of the legacy hammer is that the best armwrestler in the world holds it so it makes absolutely no sense it would originate in the 225 weight class instead of the super heavyweight class. That being said, obviously the hammers would have moved on when Travis lost or became inactive.
The entire idea is for Devon to make it as "valuable" to armwrestling as possible since it has his name on it. It is not supposed to make sense, it is for him first and foremost. That's why he's so aggressive to force everyone to play the game that "it's the legacy hammer and it must be passed".
Simply cause the super heavyweight guys didn't think of doing this. Devon did and he worked with what he had. The point is the idea behind of the hammer, not what class the hammer was from. I understand that Travis just tried to troll around, but for other adults like u to not understand this, wow...

What's always been weird about the legacy hammers is that they're stemming from the WAL 225lbs weight class but are now contested between super heavyweights. It should've been the super heavyweight WAL hammers that became the legacy hammers, not the 225lb hammers
In 2018 they were combined into open class. Atleast the right arm. Mike Todd vs Devon was to unite the two hammers in 2018. But it doesn’t matter they’re Devon’s hammers and decided to donate them to the sport creating the “legacy” hammers to be passed to the rightful owner for generations. It’s a cool concept started by the most influential athlete to ever exist in the sport as well as a person considered to be the face of WAL. Imagine if it was started 40 years ago and all the champions names were on it being passed around. Even though they were originally 225 hammers Devon made sure he took them to the #1 overall left and right at the time (Levan and Denis).

Honestly where they started is irrelevant at this point. Devon’s stated goal is that the hammer should be brought to the best in the world. He has been succesful at that goal. He brought to the best left handed guy in 2018 and he brought it to the best RH guy in 2022. Yea it should have been the WAL superheavyweight hammer but Travis has not had a supermatch in 5-6 years. On top of that he has been pinned by the likes of Brandon Ellsesor and Adam Wawryznski in the last 2 years so the validity of his hammers are kinda gone at this point.

I understand people who don’t understand how the 225 pound hammer became the legacy hammer.
Devon won that hammer and he wanted to start the legacy hammer using his wal hammer for both right and left hand as 2 separate hammers.
Let’s be honest here, most people as in everyone but Devon would have kept BOTH of those hammers, as oppose to know one day you will not have those hammers to pass down to your kids because at some point u will lose them purely on old age
So the fact Devon was willing to make a legacy hammer, despite it being a HW or SHW hammer I think is not the point.
The point is, whoever the number 1 guy in the world is at that time will get that hammer and have his name engraved on it, and then has to defend it within 1-2 years at most!
