Another great one! I did this about a month ago you made it easy! I even bought the horse hairbrushes for the anti-seize and silicone for the guide pins. Thanks, bro!!
Rotors and pad done!
your videos say it all without saying anything. great video 👍
I used the exact same set up regarding Akebono ACT pads & Centric Rotors on my wife’s Kia Optima Hybrid. I checked the pads the other day when rotating the tires. They have 40,000 miles on them and there’s tons of life left in the pads & rotors.
Fyi: That little rotor screw has always come out for me with a regular impact driver. It's only for factory installation of the rotor so it can left off on reinstall.
Another tip in case the screw is stripped and wondering how to get the rotor off...
Use a bolt and impact to apply pressure in the provided holes. Doing so on each side will eventually pop-off the screw and allow for the rotor to be removed from the hub.
Thanks for the video.
Trust me that little rotor screw isn’t easy to take off lol.
That impact screw driver is a must for sure lol
You dumped twitter? How the hell do I find you now? 😆 I need to do brakes on my 2012. What do you recommend? I was thinking akebono pads and centric rotors. Should I do pilot calipers and master?
LOL youtube comment section i guess or odyclub
nah the 4th gen has good enough brakes.
whatever links i posted in this video description just get those.
@MrRangerZr1 cool man. I'll see you on oddy club. You think 110 for stainless brake lines worth it on 4g odyssey? I'm doing brakes and rotors on it.
Does anyone know what changed from 2017 to 2018? Can’t seem to find something like this for my 2018 odyssey.
Identical really. You just have the electronic parking brake.
@@MrRangerZr1 how would this effect the replacement? I appreciate the feedback!
@@AndrewHipskind Generally rear park brake has to be put in a service mode
What kind of brake fluid can I use on Hondas? Is the Prestone’s Dot 3 ok on 2016 crv and 2015 odyssey?
I would stick to Honda fluid.
MrRangerZr1 thanks.
MrRangerZr1 Do you own any Hondas? How many miles do you have them? Any major repairs? I’m trying to get mine to 300 k miles w/ out any major probs. Is that realistic?
I owned many hondas. The CRV I showed in my CRV videos have 250k miles, original engine and trans. I seen some odysseys that went past 400k, one had 600k+ miles lol
MrRangerZr1 Thanks. I hope you do a video on replacing a ac compressor and a radiator.
Hey can you watch my new video and tell me what u think the problem is? It's a suspension noise coming from the front driver side.
Did you check your front brakes?
@@MrRangerZr1 I just cleaned them and it still looked like there a lot of pad still
@@MrRangerZr1 I really dont know why It makes noise when tuning right when brakes aren't applied.
Sounds like a bad CV axle. My right CV axle's boot ripped on my civic.
@@MrRangerZr1 wouldnt a CV axle be more of a popping and clunking sound? I checked it and it has no leak but I'll do some research because it really is annoying when driving and turning right...
