- Rhea Island was by far the most disappointing island in Sonic Frontiers. But what if it was actually good? In this video, I attempt to fix Rhea Island!

Unlike Tails, Amy and Knuckles, you wouldn't play as Cream as part of the dlc. You'd play as Vanilla instead because she's on a mission to destroy whatever hurt her baby

I think it would be better if Rhea was for Sonic, since he does get trapped in cyberspace at the end, so I would make it so Knuckles, Tails, and Amy would have to do their own cyberspace levels to save him based on their memories.
Honestly, going from this Rhea into Final Horizons’ Ouranos would be a way more thrilling end to this game.
This new Rhea breaks up the formula *just* enough to feel fresh after beating Chaos Island, and doesn’t make the FH Ouranos feel like a jarring jump in style.
Well done, I wish I could play this version of Rhea in a full playthrough!
They should've added freedom mode, a mode where you could visit all islands as every character and rebattle all titans as super sonic
This concept is just amazing! It might be disappointing for a lot of Sonic fans but I think Sega should release mainline Sonic games every 6 or 7 years. With this in mind, Sonic Team can create games that match up to PS exclusives like Spider-man, while also removing flaws like Rhea Island and bad Cyber Space controls. I know that many gamers will be disappointed in this, but eventually it would be worth the wait.
Hear me out for the Titan boss:

That's what I was thinking, like think about Sage has been trying to get sonic to leave for a long time but Sonic hasn't budged at all so fighting the hedgehog (base form no emeralds) is the last option she could have make her own titan made with her own powers. Although I don't think cream shouldn't be part of all. the cyberspace stage and enemies can stay though along with the objective of shutting down the towers. What do you think?
Nice idea honestly, i had something similar regarding Ouranos, since Supreme is out of Sage’s control, he could be looking over in Rhea and Ouranos while he starts attacking on both and chasing you in the later island. Also both of the islands starting to go into a more violet color like what we got for the End in the FH update the more you progress through it.
Heck, maybe make Supreme fly with his wings while you climb the towers so he can attack you when you’re way too high.

There was supposedly scrapped stealth mechanics in the game too, imagine trying to hide as you speedily get to your objective, making sure not to get found by supreme
@@averagepsvitafan3838 That could be awesome, maybe he won’t do anything when he doesn’t see you but will just look for you. Once you’re spotted, he’ll throw you a main story quick event to escape him, every time one tower or emerald is collected, he’d go away to the other side of the map you’re on
Very cool concept. While I kind of like Rhea for having the best platforming in base Frontiers, I'll admit that adding more to it could've been really interesting.
tbh rhea should have been part of kronos and ouranos too. maybe we would have 3 islands in total, but its better than 3 islands and 2 incompleted.

Let him COOK! Though Cream honestly feels like shoehorning her in. I feel like the corruption getting the better of Sonic could've helped make him a character that needs to be saved (something i hoped for Final Horizons due to the teasers.)
01:50 Problem is tho, Big The Cat isn't real in here and only happend as how Cyber Space works out of Sonic's Memory. (This has been clarified in a side story conversation with Sage in Update 3)

It’s confirmed that big that appears is from Sonic’s memory not the real big i think that was stated in either the sonic q&a or tailstube
I would genuinely prefer it to be just an inaccessible part of Kronos in the beginning, and to be the same as it is in the final game but without being a separate island, having only 4 islands in the game.
But something I would change about it is that I would put that whole idea of Cyber corruption pushing Sonic to the limit, maybe even making him see unreal mini bosses, but that you have to face them. Even more so if the corruption slowly makes Sonic weaker and he also starts to lose his memories and forget why he is doing this.
I feel like it would have been perfect if the cyber corruption/titan would had acted as a (forgot the name) part in bowsers fury. Like sonic is seeing wacky stuff.
Would have added a whole other layer to the island.
Sonic would just be hallucinating an amalgamation of the 3 titans he's fought before.
I think the character that should have been on this version of rhea should be shadow
i can imagine that you can see parts of the titan appear from the water as you are playing on Kronos Island, giving a hint to whats gonna happen later
Sonic Frontier should do a DLC Expansion after Final Horizon it should let us explore the hidden ancient ship that was scapted from development.The Expansion pass should feel like Tale of Arise Beyond The Dawn .The DLC Should feel like it expands of Frontiers while add new stuff to the game but too bad Sega is kinda done with Frontiers.
Hey SF I have a idea for the Frontiers video Ranking/reviewing theory's and here's mine, it's a meda one: Sage is the Kishimoto or Ian Flynn's way to tribute to Cobanermani456 like Eggman is a father now and take care of Sage and the joke Cobanermani456 is that Eggman is his father and Sage is Cobanermani456. I know it's a very stretch but it's a possibility.
How to fix Rhea: remove it, problem fixed

I've got a couple nitpicks, as I do mod this game and this video got me thinking
For 1, why would cream be there? The only reason you stated her being there was because she wasn't in other games
2. How would these changes affect the overall story? This island is made to be a solo journey of sonic unlocking the towers to fill in between chaos and ouranos, so the progression of the island would probably be completely redone to compensate, unless you wanted to send cream on her way after freeing her
Most of the ideas shown here are possible, besides the titan, but you need thought out explanations for these things if you ever wanted to bring this idea to life
Adding the vaults to the top of the towers would be possible, same with gatekeeping the titan until you get the emeralds
However, making the titan attack the player from the water is probably impossible, and the titan fight you theorized would require tons of pathing work to accomplish
Well no I wasn't looking for this to be modded in the game lol it was more of a "this is what it could have looked like" you know? I already kinda assumed most of this wasn't possible through modding

I was pretty satisfied with Rhea in my own playthrough, but I agree the Kronos Island reusing was disappointing.
Given the situation in the story at that time, I'd have liked Rhea to be given its own theme like the others. In-canon, it does start with Forest theme, but thematically I don't the trees should've been so lively.
It might start as a healthy forest, but as Sonic clears one tower and searches for the next, the environment declines until it's basically the ruins of Green Gate from Sonic X; tall tree trunks, but no leaves, no soil, no other plant life whatsoever, just a barren remain of what was once a woodland.
It that the 4th island titan was actually sage because in one of the cgi trailers sonic tried to attack her and there's cut dialogue for sage that basically says that her dad conquer the world and 4th island was probably the most combat forces and the sage boss fight probably was sage summoning enemies and Bosses by portals and the Bosses she goes inside to control them and the last phase of the fight will sage shooting Lazers and the Shield thing + she summoning enemies after that Trower thing that happens in the final game happens.
Tbh, I reimagined Rhea Island as a Prologue Island before the other bigger islands. But now that I see this video, I think I change my mind.

For me, I'll stick to an idea of what I think was originally planned for the beta
After Chaos, you head back to Kronos (no different name and it's the beta map ver) you have to go to the towers which are defended by guardians
(white ver while beta Ouranos has gold ver)

Ninja
And there would be tokens to talk to tails since he's on the island now.
I would however exclude Chaos Emeralds and a Titan boss

I remember speedrunning Rhea Island because I heard it was very short and had no Titan Boss, so I wanted to get through it very quickly so I could finally access Ouranos Island and finally play through the Final Horizon so I could play as my favorite character Knuckles

I'm actually working on a 2D sonic fangame takes the timeliness between sonic forces and sonic frontiers and it'll explain the biggest secret in the canon sonic lore and to be honest these kind of videos actually inspire me and give me more ideas of what should I add in the game so thanks for your videos and keep up the good work❤️
Huh. Rhea island is just an island that I just… don’t like at all and it is an island that I don’t like replying at all. I wish it was a larger island and not just copying and pasting Kronos island. Honestly you fix the Rhea island issues I had and made them better even though we never got that. Great video SF Productions)
I was thinking that since Sega was pushing to get the game out, Kronos could've been Kronos and rhea, and ouranos be the same island, but bigger and different environment (Olympus type area).
I think what would make Rhea island more better, while staying truthful to its original way would be like this:
Characters: It would be a Sonic, a hullicination version of himself that has no color and is black and white that s inaudible until you collect sonics memory tokens.
Enemies: Basically what you said, but also some common enemies that can level up, starting at the red form and after a certain of not beating them theyd level up to white, then gold, gold being very hard to beat dropping more rewards.
Cyberspace: Maybe having some really hard cyberspace levels, that much like the final horizon give you lookout kocos to unlock the towers.
chaos emeralds: Getting chaos emeralds would be in a new way, much like older games ring portals have appeared (only appear when progressing with the story) with Sonic getting more corrupted and cyber space intertwining more, Like cyber
space, but very hard and at the end you get chaos emeralds (essentially just special stages).
Titan: Now I had 2 ideas for this, 1. You fight the null Sonic at the end of the island, and as you fight you start forgetting your skill set, as the scenery starts getting red after time passes, to the point sonic cant even attack anymore and starts losing rings. then we get the cutscene of the original island. (the boss is impossible to beat). Idea 2. Is much like your idea of a water titan that acts as the final seal for the towers to unleash the end. After beating the titan the end strikes sonic with a beam of cyber energy that progresses the corruption a lot, so much so it takes sonic out of his super form, and we get the original island cutscene.
These ideas arent that good because I made them off the top of my head lol
I wish I had the skills to make a mod, especially one with all the mentioned features, and I even ideas flowing in my head, but sadly they will stay in my head.
How would Cream fit into the story?

This is a hot take but I actually think ournos island (you know which one I’m talking about) is the worst. Barely anything, no story, nothing new. Is the same thing again but more of a chore. The only good thing I can say about ournos are the cyberspace but FH are still better.
Rhea is still bad but the towers feel good especially from preparing the FH towers. Your idea with the titans interrupting the platforming is a really good idea. Really can be more of a threat.
Correct me if wrong, but was it confirmed that the Big we see wasn't the real Big but rather a memory from Sonic's past?
Regarding changing Rhea's scenery, how will we do that without also affecting Kronos Island?
Maybe we could split Rhea from Kronos. It would look kinda odd but it would work.
@@SFproductions1 Yeah, I think that could be possible; or the moders could create a half-and-half foliage where it is just one foliage in the files, but they're able to make Rhea look different that Kronos
I love the idea of a water Titan boss same with the tower rework but why did you say cream hasn't appeared in a mainline game what even is mainline before I get to why that phrase doesn't work Ian flyn who wrote the story of dream team said it's post frontiers so it's canon and now on to why saying mainline when in regards for sonic doesn't work that much slightly now if we count stuff like dash speed battle speed simulator and every other mobile game minus dream team then yeah it works but people saying stuff like secret rings not being mainline gets ruined by the ever loved sonic generations which confirmed it being canon same with riders being mentioned in frontiers 👍 overall nice video absolutely love the kraken Titan designs you showed off too

Why cream i understand we want in mainline but like sonic tails amy were already tracking chaos emerald and fighting fake eggman and got a read that it was on starfall islands so why would drag cream into dangerous most times cream appear is because she get kidnapped or force into helping because world in danger

When Update 3 was announced, I thought they will modify Rhea Island and will be about saving Sonic as other characters. DLC would be activated by loading Rhea Island. Too bad we got what-if of Ouranos instead.
