    Love the jewellery you make and how you make it seem so simple. Has certainly inspired me. I don't even have round nose pliers yet but managed to make 2 rings with a seven ring shank 16 gauge wire. I love how they turned out, all thanks to you! x

    Great tutorial and fun ring design. The shiny copper almost looks like rose gold! Very pretty. Before hammering the ring, after fully wrapped, the spiral looks like a flat setting that you could attach some sort of decorative element. Just a thought I had. Of course, the ring has to be hammered unless it's meant to be a pinky ring. :)
    Wondering . . . if the wire gets too stiff/hardened before finishing a project, can it be softened somehow? Say, maybe annealing with a torch? I'm a newbie, so I'm wondering for future reference. My hands, wrists and elbows are quite weak with arthritis, so I'm thinking I may need to re-soften the wire to be able to make some of your awesome designs.
    TFS!

    This is great, i liked this, brilliant project, looked nice, i liked the shiney surface on this ring, before the antiqued stage, but both looked great, i just prefared the shiney metal version, the shape and style of this ring is very nice to look at,a visually pleasing design. thank you for showing us how its done. I would like to make one in silver coloured coated copper wire and also in silver coloured copper for the atlantic waves bracelett, as im not a huge fan of bare copper wire, can i order these types of wire from your site? im a novice beginner in wire jewellry work and my knowlege of what wire i should use is limited to what i see visually as i have no experience to call on. my main focus at the moment is to learn wire wrapping techniques and wire braiding wire bending and wire forming and all wire technique's to bezel cabachons or wire wrap them in any form to gain more experience and practice the techniques. I think you said, that a 10 guage wire is best to use for the atlantic waves bracelett, i looked on your website, but i was unsure if you had it in silver coloured coated copper wire? Thank you Laura liverpool england.

    • @makingiteasywithliz
      @makingiteasywithliz  8 лет назад +2

      +Laura Aqui Hi Laura, I do not recommend color coated wire of any kind when using a hammer on it and especially for rings. As soon as you hit the wire with a hammer, you break the seal of the coating and it soon changes color and deteriorates rapidly. Rings take a beating and I only use pure metals for them. Coated wire will make a fun ring that you do not expect to last. I do not have 10g nickel wire on my site but I do have 14g. It is naturally stiffer than bare copper.
