I always was struggle to figure out how much wire do I need without waste. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Lovely prety and simple ring 💜
this is inspiring and helpful in its simplicity but how can there be SO many views and comments and NO likes? Its so important to channel providers to Like Like Like. These tutorials take a lot of work and generosity as well.
Denise, your tutorials are the best Ive seen. Your work is beautiful. You are organized, concise, to the point instructions and your camera is focused. Thank you. Ive learned so much.
Really Cool tutorial... Very simple design.. Easy to follow, Kept you watching,. My girls at the market are going to love these.. Got to get busy. Have a Blessed & Creative Day 8~)
Nice wire wrapping. If you could record from an above more direct angle it would be beneficial I think. The display shots of each step help, but a better angle in addition to those shots would be fabulous. Lovely work. Thank you for posting this. 😁
That's very pretty! ☺ I noticed you actually wrapped it only 2 complete circles (I think) and then allowed the 2 ends to overlap. In your expert opinion if I wanted it wider would it be too much or too wide to wrap it completely 3 or 4 times and then allow ends to overlap on top for the partial wrap? Also, does hitting it with your hammer ("wire hardening") make it more sturdy and less likely to bend? I'd like to try to make this and other pieces one day so I'm soaking up all of the tutorials I can on RUclips. Thank you kindly for your help and for sharing your wonderful talent! ☺
Yes, wrapping a few more times will make the ring extend further on your finger. I would suggest you try with inexpensive wire and see if you like the results and then move onto the wire you are using for your finished ring. And yes, your right, hammering the wire helps make it stiffer so it doesn’t bend and holds its shape. Hope this helps and good luck with your project 😊
Wow.. love this video.. definitely gonna try this. I have a doubt.. does the wire that is wrapped around the beads towards the end, not slip and come up??
+christine holaday thanks for your kind words. As far as Gemstone beads there are many sellers that are good, Etsy is a great place to check out. Many Of the sellers I used to buy from have since closed their businesses, I've bought from Lilly's bead box a few times and really like the quality, price and speed of delivery. Here's a link if you want to check the shop out lillysbeadbox.com hope this helps and good luck with your beading projects 😊
No, I'm not using artistic wire, it's just a silver plated copper. Some wire like Artistic wire has a plastic like coating to prevent it from tarnishing so I would suggest you hammer a bit of wire to see if the coating flakes off when you do hammer it, I've had this problem before, if it doesn't your good to go, Hope this helps, Denise
I love all your tutorials and I love this ring. Can I use a regular hammer or do I need a social one for jewelry? I don't have a metal block can I use a wood block instead?
+Cindjo717 they usually suggest that you use a chasing hammer for jewelry but I have a regular ball pin hammer from the hardware store and I find it works amazing. A regular hammer for hammering nails will work to flatten the wire but you will not be able to texturize it, or give the metal a dimpled appearance because it doesn't have a ball side. If you are just making this one ring then I think you will be fine with a regular hammer but if you plan on doing more metal work jewelry then a chasing hammer or ball pin would be ideal. A wooden block isn't the best because it dents when you hammer on it so your hammering will not be perfect and may not give you the results you want, also you hammer may bounce, which will also affect your results. I haven't found an alternative to a hammering block, but again if you're just making one ring you could try a wooden block and see what kind of results you get. Hope this helps 😊
Some pieces I recycle, others I give away, even so I still have a lot of stuff, I'm hoping to open an Etsy store in the next few months to sell some things as well as some stock from when I had my jewelry store a few years back 😊
You can use a jewelry file, or a metal nail file to file the ends. Here's a video that I made that tells you how to finish pieces and it talks about files if your interested, hope this helps, 😊Denise
+A Berg I have seen people use sandpaper, so I think it will work. I would give it a try, if you're doing a lot of pieces though I would invest in a jewelry file, they're great for small pieces and fit in tight spaces as well as being quite inexpensive.
+Denise Mathew Thank you Denise . I will definitely add a jewelry file to my list. After a wire end is filed is there any liquid solution needed to sanitize earwire ends for use?
? WHY NOT FAN 1 END OUT THEN ADD THE BEADS IT MIGHT SAVE ON USAGE OF THE WIRE?I LOVE MAKING JEWELRY I USE A VISE TO TWIST THE 2 WIRES TOGETHER THEN ADD THE BEADS IT SAVES ON USING THE WIRE & LOOKS REALLY GOOD & THE BAND IS REALLY STURDY
+Tara Firman sounds like a good idea, you definitely could do that with larger holed beads but usually the holes in the beads I use are too small to fit on a bigger gauge wire that I use for rings so I have to use a smaller gauge wire 😊
OK I SEE WHAT UR SAYING THAT MAKES SENSE.HERE'S THE RING I WAS TALKING ABOUT THAT I MADE www.tradesy.com/accessories/crisstaras-designs-3-stone-crystal-ring-6967555/?tref=closet & www.tradesy.com/accessories/crisstaras-designs-peach-and-navy-ring-6963862/?tref=closet & www.tradesy.com/accessories/cristaras-designs-serenity-ring-6967885/?tref=closet
ALSO 4 THOUGHT U COULD BEND THE FANNED ENDS UP TO CREATE A CURVE I REALLY LOVE THIS DESIGN & TECHNIQUE TY 4 SHARING W/US.MY DAD BOUGHT ME FLOATING PEARLS NECKLACE THIS WOULD SO LOOK GREAT WITH IT MAYBE EVEN MAKE EARRINGS TOO.
+Tara Firman in my opinion 20 gauge is a little small for a ring but since it's tripled it might work. It is slightly adjustable since the wires hold the pearls will slide a little if you tug.
I like how clear your directions are, Also how you stop and show your work as you go thank you

+Ophiane Thanks so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it :)
Can't believe how simple you made this for me. Great design!
My husband made me a steel hammer block..I love using it. This is my next project..I will let you know how it goes.
Sounds fun 😊
Loved this video and the way you show still images to illustrate.
Love this it helps me not have so much wire left over.
Thank you Denise, you are a great instructor 🙏💖😘
Loved this tutorial and the way you show stills to illustrate.
Love this design! I think I need to invest in a bench block and hammer, I really love the flattened effect!
They were definitely one of the best investments of my life 😊
A good investment you may want to try a rubber mallet as well. I like them because they don't leave marks and insure I don't over hammer. 😉
@@DeniseMathew Your life? Wow. 🤔
these kinds of ring are simple. But it looks very beautiful

love it!! Thank you!!
Love these!! Thanks!!!!!
Beautiful ring, thank you for video. :D :D
Wow.. love this video.. definitely gonna try this. I have a doubt.. does the wire that is wrapped around the beads towards the end, not slip and come up??
It doesn’t actually slip because when you hammer the ends flat it makes the wire a little wider there and prevents the wire from slipping.😊
I love it!
ty 4 sharing!
Denise, I love your tutorials, I was wondering where do you get the cystal beads, real crystal? I love making my own jewelry, thank you

Nice
Nice work . how do you file down the sharp edges? What materials are needed to file edge of rings n earwire?
You can use a jewelry file, or a metal nail file to file the ends. Here's a video that I made that tells you how to finish pieces and it talks about files if your interested, hope this helps, 😊Denise
+Denise Mathew Thank you Denise would a fine grit sandpaper work? I would love to view video on filing:)

Your work is lovely thank you for your fantastic videos .
cute ringe
👌👌👌👍🌹🌹🌹💐
can you use memory wire for this design?
Memory wire might be a little tough to use, a more malleable wire is preferred, but you could give it a try. 😊
Denise Mathew ok...thank you

No, not okay.
your hands are in the way and camera is not focused well, makes it hard to follow
