In 1999, my friends in the Chicago suburbs copied Cops. We filmed it one summer, and it was a blast. I’m 35 now, and I still laugh spontaneously thinking of when we filmed it. Just a bunch of kids with a video camera. Not a sophisticated as these situations, but we used sugar as pretend coke. Lol Best whole-hearted laughs of my life. (Not trying to mock people with real trouble lives that get arrested, but it just goes to show ya how ridiculous humans are - I humbly apply that to myself as well!)

Saw a stand up routine from nick swardson about how terry was created. He was called up and asked to play a recurring “criminal” on this show. He had two stipulations: 1, his character was flamingly gay. And 2, his character was ALWAYS on roller skates. They agreed, and terry was born.

The level of ‘keeping it together’ on this show is galactic.

Everything about this show is funny, but that fucking moment got an irrational amount of laughter out of me. Big props to Cedric Yarbrough for that perfect line delivery.
