Nik Kershaw in my own opinion, is one of the most underrated guitarist, singer/songwriters this country has ever produced.
He deserved so much more recognision for his work.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Youre right 100 percent, i didn't notice it back then
I’m Puerto Rican and I’m definitely a fan. I lived in Yorkshire as well by the way. 🇵🇷🇬🇧🇵🇷🇬🇧🇵🇷🇬🇧
Nik Kershaw British 🇬🇧 talent .
One of the more underrated performances at Live Aid along with Paul Young.
I was lucky enough to have the day off, my new stereo TV hooked thru my Marantz 2265 receiver. Out out from the TV into aux input. What a great 13 hours of nusic.
That summer day in 85 was magical so was Nik Kershaw and his band they were the highlight of the day brilliant performance
I was born in 82 and wish i was old enough to go and appreciate live aid. It was about 33 years later that I was able to see Nik Kershaw live.
Glad you got to see him years later at least ..lovely bloke too
I was eighteen then, still remember rather brightly the echoes of atmosphere of the day. Blessed times when playing live was golden standard! Listen to this perfect sound, splendid musician and composer Kershaw we did not appreciated enough back then, but today we must admit his musical language reflects such a brilliant originality and richness of harmonic invention. I own first two records of him, still put them on from time to time and admire the parts he invented to be there in his songs. I even infected my daughter to analyse specialty of his music in comparison to rest of music at the time, though we found also many interesting songs by other artists that had missed the charts heavily and deserve to be paid attention to owing to its creativity and freshness of ideas. We are both musicians now and appriciate quality music very much...
Gosh I love Nik's music. He must've been scared as hell to perform in that big of a crowd.
Brilliant performance , very tight and very professional ....
Great performance, keep these videos coming. A legendary day.
His clothes! 😄 So 80s. We all looked like that. Bananarama had a similar style.
😊😊😊
Still stylish...better than jeans around the knees
Bananarama was a last shit
Hello from New Hampshire, USA 🇺🇸!

This is not on the DVD! WOW! And what a fantastic quality!! Thank you SO much. Hope for more.....
They've been releasing these for a couple of months and are going to continue, keep an eye out for them.
Nik Kershaw always gives a super performance- his more recent No Frills Solo Acoustic album is well worth checking out.
Ah,he's a brilliant artist and songwriter.Always has been.Love to see him come back to Ireland soon.He was one of the best performers on Live Aid.Only Queen were better in fairness, but that was probably the greatest live performance of all time
Ah, yeah, BBC, again, filming anyone but not the one who playing. Brilliant!
Love this song!!
Fine band. Tight under pressure.
Increíble, buenísimos...
Please upload the full Nik performance!
Wanted: musician for Nik Kershaw touring band. Must have (or be willing to get) mullet.

Cuando la musica era de verdad 🇨🇱📻🎙️✌️🦖
Que grandes eran los músicos en los 80's, cuando era música de verdad
❤️❤️❤️💪💪🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Era lo mejor
Che voce. Bravissimo
Nice
Comparing this new version to what was actually broadcast ‘Live’ on the day, I can see footage has been replaced at 1:30 where the broadcast accidentally switched to the studio for a few seconds. They’ve replaced ‘the blip’ with footage panning across the crowd. The sound mix is much better in this new footage too. A more ‘complete’ Live Aid DVD/BluRay is surely in the making?
there will never be a complete blu-ray coming. have you seen led zeppelin's performance? i love led zeppelin but... it was terrible. i don't blame them for not wanting the performances on DVD/blu-ray. they were shit.
What I hope that if not a remastered longer dvd version with more stuff added that atleast volume 2 of the audio on iTunes.
The tube cameras in this heat .....the colour registration is all over the place ...thank the lord for CCDs when they arrived. The same problem plagued the Queen live 86 video
Ok let’s have a better DVD or Blu Ray MINUS Led Zeppelin!
I got Bogged down by the Bandmate being a total Rock ✨ switching to Keyboards & even having Poofier Hair but good Ear you have there Sir!
❤❤❤

Damn, this version is awesome. There were some things off in the original one.
The synths went into the guitar solo in a strange way. You can barely hear it in this version.
The guitar solo is finally audible
The falsetto backgrounds sound proper and not so... in a way cringy.
How/where did you get this mix? It is awesome.
I think that there were multi tracks recorded for radio BBC transmissions... so thank Radio!
@@johnobrien7860 There were multi-tracks made by the BBC without anyone's knowledge as it would have been a huge rights issue otherwise plus Bob did not want any recordings kept.
Thank you BBC for doing the multitracks.
Who is that bassist?
I see that he was playing a Jaydee??
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Mullet Power!
There is gonna be that time when you are going to run out of songs to release :(
who filmed this, we barely can see Nik on the solo. I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE KEYS OR THE DRUMS, SHOW ME THAT GUITAR
Its Keith Airey on the 2.nd solo not Nik
😃👍
Why did you remove the 6 billion views video? :/
Synwave was a landmark masterpiece ….. don’t understand why kershaw didnt stick up with syn n drum machine … he try to perform his master pieces on acoustic version…..lately….
Far too many Wide Boys.
first
why didn't the singer tuck his shirt in??? Was he in a Ruch to get in the stage, or is this he's style???
It was a style especially in pop stars back in the mid 80s you’d be surprised there are few more acts at live aid that had something similar going on. Sting had something like that going on too during his set.
