Fly Tying The 'Sipper' Dry Fly

  • Why can a little orange work so much magic into a fly's DNA?
    The original fly I say that looked like this was one I was shown by my meat Glen Pointon, designed for sipping trout feeding on midge and green fly falling from the trees. It was great in small sizes, since then I've tied it on bigger hooks and done well with it early and mid season!
    I tie this one on an 18 but will tie it big up to a size 12, no worries, it works in each size!
