Добавлен 18 сен 2017
Hi Folks, thank you very much for checking me out and welcome to my page which is dedicated to fly fishing and fly tying.
The channel has a strong focus on competition fly patterns, which are proven and effective, with no gimmicks!
I'll also provide some awesome hints and tips on all manner of fly fishing and, at times, a window into my world of fly fishing.
I'd love to reply to everyone's comments and I do try but if I miss you out, I'm sorry, peace and love!

Fly Tying The No 8 Buzzer
I do well with glo-brite no8 in trout & grayling flies and so I added it to a few of my stillwater flies, this buzzer is a stand out example.

This is a great 'little' fly that can make a huge difference to your catch rate through the winter and early spring. I love it for small waters, ones that carry little colour. Try it and see for yourself!

I like pink flies for cold clear water, who knows why they work so well, but they do! Try this one and you won't regret it!

Fly Tying The Spectral Spider

It's not all heavyweight death bombs in winter, far from it! This little number is a great choice either fished properly as a Spider, or sneaked onto the top dropper on milder days. An ethereal looking thing, it's a number one choice for grayling!
My Mate's Shrimp

This is a fly I pinched from a friend, Gavin Friell, and it works really well for fish near weeds but best of all in shallow, shrimp water. Any water that has shrimp will work. Try two at once combined with a floating line, and you won't go far wrong! I love these when I'm on the bank. I team them with a black lure for deeper work and a FAB or Floating fry to be fished higher up in the water co...
Fly Tying The Pink Panther

I love pink flies in cold water conditions, there's something that trout find appealing about it! This wee mini lure does great stuff out in open water on the reservoirs and it works as a dropper with a bigger black lure on the point position on smaller lakes!

Thanks Steve, nice pattern.
Lovely !!
Thanks Steve, have a good one when it comes.
Thanks Steve
🎣👍🏻
Thanks Steve. Very helpful tips.
I do have apps worms in my fly collection but nothing like this or that colour looks dead good. Please can you tell me where you get your jig beads from and your flexi floss 2 if you don't mind. I will need those materials before i can give it a go . Have a good Christmas 🎄 Steve and Family.
Didn’t catch where yer fishing lad can you let me know would be appreciated love the vids n info like they say every days a school day
I'm the first viewer 😊
That looks like it would be good in silver and black too, with black and white grizzle. I am going to have a go at your yellow version and see if I can get my first brown trout in Scotland with it.
Can't believe I've missed this one for two years. That is a Brilliant idea! Way better than foam indicators and NZ wool because it is more delicate and it has a hook! Already tied some up. Can't wait to use them. Thanks!
Great video Steve, only thing, didn’t fancy your effort to pull the fly from the trees.I’ve done this and have ended up with two broken rods, better pulling it straight inline with the fly,may break the leader but that’s easy replaced
Storr Lochs, Isle of Skye
Isn't there a deadpool 2 joke somewhere in this fly's name?
Cool buggy nymph, thanks Steve.
One for my box!!!
Buggy👌
How would you fish it ?
Good morning. I'm French and I don't understand English. the video translator is not good. Can you give me the dimensions of your leader with the space between the flies. which boobies will you use in murky waters. Sincerely
Well done
Nicely Done
Nice selection 🎣🎣🎣
😂
Nice
I have been fly fishing for years and never bothered with tapered leaders. Just stick with length and change flies a lot , never had a problem
Tied 2 of these last night and fished them today. One with out hothead , never touched a fish . One with hothead fish on first cast and 3rd cast . Where you used Globrite, I used a plastic bead . Got a few more pulls , then nothing . Had a look at fly and bead had broke so will use Globrite in future and every one with a hothead
I subscribed a few days ago, does that count?
Eye candy
Just subscribed👌🏻🎣🎣🎣
Really good video. What knot do you use to tie the Tappered leader to the fly line, Please. 👍
Loop knot buddy
Ok. That is getting added to my collection of flys to tie over Christmas. Great colour contrast. I tie a nomad in similar colours . If nothing working. Put on my nomad as last resort. 100% no blanks. Great fly. Hope you and family have a good Christmas 🎄.
Nice collection of flies Nice prize
Wee belter
Hi Steve, what make is your rucksack please. Kind regards Mike. Tight lines.

I've been catching on nymphs and wee dries until now, but I think I need to go deeper with some lures now. Sound is poor Steve, better microphone needed?
Morning steve , can show us a fly tying video of the 3 lures you used, and good to see that I'm not the only one that catches trees, great video pal
Another good video, make sure your mike is in a good position for clear volume please.
Hi Stevie where can you get a 6ft tapered leader and what x is it ??4x Thanks Bill 👍
Hi Bill, i cut a 9ft back pal! about 25lb
@ Thanks Steve 👍
Apps work well for rainbows pulled back fast if you’re on them they will take them even up in the water
It’s no rocket science mate chuck it in and pull it back . But remember if there’s no fish in front of you you’ll catch nothing .
Fly and music is fine
Fantastic!! Thanks for sharing all your knowledge!
Winter is the best time of year to catch rainbows they love cold water ..
Thanks for a great day on the water, cheers and tightlines.
It would look good with knotted legs.
Very enjoyable. I appreciate the explanations. Nice and relaxing in this world of turmoil. Thanks.
