I still have my Artillery Sidewinder X1 and print on it every single day but the prints take FOREVER to finish compared to these newer printers now so I have been looking for options to upgrade to. I looked at Artillery's newest printers and thought the X4 plus would be a great reason for me to upgrade. Before the release of the X4 plus I messaged artillery to see if they had retailers in Canada so I could buy the printer; the response I got was "there will be high shipping costs if it's shipped from China warehouse so no, and also no we don't have Canada dealers". After hearing so many complaints with there quality control and customer service and that response I got I think I will be staying far away from artillery now and looking for better options. Thanks for the video Frank! Love from Canada
try to upgrade to klipper, its not that dificult, I have an Artilllery Hornet with klipper with a cht nozzle and man it has been a really good improvement and I have cut times by more than 50%. Give it a try, its a really capable printer the x1
The sidewinder x2 was the worst printer I've ever owned. I spent more keeping it running than what I purchased it for. Gave sovol a try and now have 2, sv05 and sv06+. A Sv06+ with klipper pad is the way to go.

I love the intro, this is finally the time where Frankie does dump on a company👏👏👏 jokes aside, it’s rare that you do buddy but when you do i know it’s right💪 Edit: 4:05 the roof lights are beautiful sped up
I think you did not make the settings or the speeds and settings that should be in the wiper well. I also use the Orca wiper and I bought the artillery side 4x plus. It is a very fast machine. The only annoying part is that it is factory-installed. It is completely simple. It does not meet the requirements in terms of software. It does a good job with minor software and settings for its price. I have been using it for about 3 months. There is only one annoyance. To be realistic, there is something strange and wrong in the bed leveling. The roughness and protrusions of the bottom table are in automatic calibration. It cannot get the tolerance properly, so an intervention and adjustment is required while writing. Once you try and do it, you won't have any problems, but you are right about some issues, we are in 2024-2025, manual lvling is a ridiculous thing, why should we bother. Best regards.
Only complaint I had about the x1 was the bed heating in the corners of the bed. Other than that they where a decent base for the price they where. With a few simple mods they become really capable. Klipper, ABL probe and a bimetal heat brake did wonders for them.
@Frankly Built can you do a video or have you done one on large bed printers with auto levelling vs manual levelling? not long got in to 3d printing and getting ready to move up to bigger printer
I updated the firmware on my Neptune 4 Max as soon as I got it (around xmas) and it still gave me issues. Firmware fixed the grinding home, but I still got blobs of death and eventually something temp related broke. Took replacement cable Elegoo sent (in 3 weeks),and alot of work, to fix. My 3 plus has been so much more reliable. But the 4 spits out stuff much faster and higher quality (when it works)
They sent me the X3plus to review, Pretty good Id say starting machine. Still Marlin but has a 300c hotend and 100c bed. 300x300x400 mag pei bed. I also have the Neptune 4 plus and max and after some firmware updates, they are going strong.
I have a Sidewinder X2, and well it has had its issues, I just ordered the new artillery sidewinder x4 plus S1. can't wait to get going with it, as well as hear what you think of it if and when you get your hands on it.
@Frankly Built I bought this 3 weeks ago couldnt get a print for nothing i would get the first layer good then the second layer would dig into the first layer. I played and played with the z offset and just couldnt get it to stop. Finally last night i got to thinking it was like something was preventing it from traveling up on the z properly. Checked the POM wheels on the Z and they was super tight. I am currently printing my first print with them adjusted and let me tell you so far its printing beautiful. So if you get one and have this issue check the POM wheels.
So for my birthday, I want a 3-D printer but I don’t know which one to get for cosplay like I’ve been thinking about the Neptune three max because everyone saying the four is bad can you help me?
Definitely buy one of the new Elegoo Neptune 4s. Relatively Modern, super simple to get into, can costumize once you get good, and possibly one of the most "buck for value" overall printers in the market. Will take a solid year or two, to see an equivalent printer. Modt printers currently on the market are pretty good, will be hard to buy trash as long as it came out the last year or so.
You said, back in London, where do you live now ? also You say about it not being speedy... shouldn't you increase the speed from slicer or from printers menu, or how does it work with klipper, it speeds it up by itself?
So this printer sounds OKAYISH for beginners, and definitely not ideal for those who already have printers..... Definitely a weird spot in the market for the X4 Plus. I like this from-a-consumer POV take on the X4, thanks Frank!
Why would anyone buy this over an Elegoo Neptune 4 which costs less? Or the Flashforge 5M (Core XY) for $299? OR even the Creality Ender 3 v3 that costs $30 less?......Artillery at this point and time needs to just stop
Love ly N3+ but in this day and age it's sooooo slow compared to my Bambu A1 and P1S. Still waiting for something at a reasonable price to replace the N3+ but still nothing has grabbed my attention enough to go for it. Was hoping this might have been it but I guess not
No s**t I don't know why everyone keeps trying to compare this to top end printers. $900. vs $350. What do you expect? You're comparing a Kia Niro EV with a Tesla Model S.
Hmm definitely a shame to hear as my first printer was the X1 since roughly 2019ish (don’t remember the exact year and have a slight bias to it just because it’s my first lol) and have only recently this past month been able to finally print how I’ve been wanting to print as I would put off the hobby due to errors either I myself caused because I didn’t know something or even if I was following letters to the letter my printer still couldn’t print a dang thing, so to hear this most recent model is a bit of a let down is sad but I guess there’s plenty of fish in the 3D printer sea 😅
Honestly? Between this review, my Sovol SV-07 Plus just outright dying 3 days into ownership, the constant issues I had with my Ender 3 S1, and what a good time I have been having with the Prusa MK4...I think I'm just done buying cheap printers. I just need to knuckle down and buy the nice (and slightly more expensive) ones off the bat.

the problem I have with the Neptune 4's is they Vibrate their parts like a Harley!!! 😶😬😐😐 and also like a Harley be prepared to do routine tightening and adjusting parts!! especially on the Max and Plus!! also adjust the Gantry right off make sure it's level out the box, and check every or every other week.. also on the Max it's bed needs to heat up for a half hour!! the PUS is under powered for this slinger causing it to struggle heating in fast or uniformly so mesh is changing on the bed while heating up taking a 25-30min to uniform the temps across the build plate..! Thank Daddy God the Plus don't have this issue!!!
Like you said you can seriously get a 4 plus or max, update the firmware and get more out of it. That's kinda disappointing hearing the buzz around the printer
