it's a simple bench and if it suits your workflow and needs it's a good bench. this bench looks more like a hybrid between a workbench and an assembly table to me. a good solution for a relatively small shop. there are traditional benches that have a gap in the top like yours as well. it gives places to clamp but also to drop a bench hook for pull saws and the like. mine is like that. traditional in with the gap for a bench hook and clamps. just having a little gap gives a lot of flexibility. good video. great job showing how you actually use the bench rather than trying to make up examples.
Klasse Werktisch! ich finde Ihn sehr praktisch und vielseitig. All die tollen hochwertigen Werkbänke sehen gut aus sind aber fast zu schade zum Arbeiten. Hier sehr ich kein großes Problem wenn mal eine Macke in den Tisch kommt... gibt Charakter! wichtig für mich man kann schnell und mit einfachen Mitteln praktisch alles festspannen. Ich war immer am überlegen was für mich passend wäre. Ich glaub so eine passt für mich und ich bau die nach.
Honestly, the workbench wasn't my idea. But I agree, it is very easy and cheap to build and you don't need to feel bad if it gets damaged. I really like it.

Question: have you thought about doing a shop tour video? I'd be interested in seeing your set up, so see how you process wood, especially if you work with rough lumber. I know you enjoy working with hand tools, but would be interested in seeing which power tools you might use regularly that may not be on camera. Keep up the great work Niclas!
Thanks! I thought about a shop tour, but my set up isn't that great to create value to others, I think. But I will do that in the future once the next projects are done.
