😂 just special thanks, after watching your videos throughout the past year, decided to trade my 2017 V6 Camaro to 2017 ZL1. Thank you for all your videos
Not required, but you can certainly go that route. haven't had an issue yet and would rather not use something that can cause bolts to come loose over time.
I am curious. Carlyle racing sells the conversion kit with the control and trailing arms. But will you just be getting the calibers and rotors only since you already have the BMR arms? Will the BMR stuff clear everything?
@@Lethalgarage I was afraid you were going to tell me that. I'm sooo tired of not doing it right the first time. My shop told me to just do the 15" conversion and be done with it after I told them I was going 17" welds all around. I didn't listen$$$$
Hey! Quick question. by installing new wheels with 305/45/17 tires, would there have to be a required tune because of the taller tire or can you run it without any problems?
Great video, going that route one day. I guess the small brake video is coming soon. Matt please post cost if you can by the links section in drop down box on RUclips. Thanks Your links are great but they do say, “Please call for current pricing and availability”
LethalGarage actually it’s really not that hard to say you got them at a discount or as a gift to promote them on your channel you deserve that with your hard work.
Actually no discounts here on these parts. Full price on the tires and wheels. But as stated the wheels are now $124.99 more based on supply issues from Weld. Vendors seem to crank the prices up when a 2 month wait time happens. Tires are linked and show the actual price. It seems their price went down $4 based on the Amazon listing.
1. are these street legal? 2. when ordered on the weld website i see around 800$ for beadlocks, is that for one wheel? and 3. who can set these up, i dont trust myself! lol (as in can a mechanic put these together and slap them on my sixth gen)
Beadlocks o sub 2000hp cars with radials is retarded added weight for no benefit I run 275/60-15 Hoosier drag radials on 15x10 no beadlocks and tire has very minimal movement if I use hi tack no movement 4K rpm clutch dump 600 rwhp 2900 lb 97 cobra runs 10.60 hell any guys I know run 8s no beadlocks. What is this trend where everyone thinks they need beadlocks especially with drag radials
At 1000 rw hp we have video proof the tire was spinning on the wheel. It’s a good insurance policy over buying wheels twice especially when you keep upping the power.

Congrats
Thanks! I'm 14 and I'm gonna start on my project car. This really helps a lot. so I appreciate you making this tutorial.
lmao tf does a 14 yr old need beadlocks for
@@zero4902 they look great IMO looking to get some for my 10r80 single cab truck
Great video. Just one question, Do you balance the wheels or it's not required with beadlock?
Thanks for the info! My Camaro is nowhere near ready for this setup but it's good to know just in case lol
Hey, when you drive down the street, nobody knows whether or not you have the power needed for beadlocks to work. Most don't.
According to WELD your torque specs are way off. They say via phone tech and website the FINAL torque is 18 ft pounds not 38. ???
You ain’t lying STICKERS are most important! 👍🏽 lol
Can you imagine the feeling of cross threading those rims.
Haven’t had an issue yet
My 17" QTP look to have more sidewall than this 15"?
Thank you for the video.
When it Leaks air, do I only add air ? Or I have to remove the beadlock ring then install them
Again and add air ?
Thank you
If it’s leaking at the bead, it’s not installed right. It should take weeks too lose a few PSI is that.
Dawn and water solution works good also
Didn't see in video, but doesnt weld recommend putting anti sieze on the bolts
Not required, but you can certainly go that route. haven't had an issue yet and would rather not use something that can cause bolts to come loose over time.
Never sieze actually creates a more accurate torque reading and does not cause bolts to back out
so no balancing needed? just got mines on almostno shop cwn install this wheels
Hey lethal, is it recommended to install TPMS Tire pressure sensors to that set up? Thanks.
Most won’t. But you can put them on with bands.
Hell yeah nice garage! GO PACK GO!!

Changing everything

Armour all works great to slip tires on.
Cool 😎 so instead of the tire bead itself sealing on that one side of the tire....it uses the locks instead to seal that bead?
Wait i see...it uses both beads and then the locks on the one side👍
Not sure why you say they leak. My welds do not leak more than a normal wheel.
im thinking of buying a 19 2ss, ddi they change the bowtie location or should i wait for the 20? I think they may move it on the 20.
I’m new to bead locks....balancing tips after mounting? Thanks much.
Have them balanced
Bubble balance and go

You’ll be fine, just might rub depending on how low your car is.
Do you know if the same torque specs are for a 17” s71 beadlock?
18 don’t do 25 I just broke mine lol
Good tutorial
Thanks

Pricing on these items Fluctuates, so it’s hard to outline a specific price.
The cost is...expensive lol

Anytime I get discounts I clearly highlight it in the video and in the description, it’s actually the law.
You don’t need to balance them? I’m new to beadlock !
I never have as any sort of added weights flying off on the track is bad
So every time the tire needs to get removed or worked on this needs to happen??!!
Technically yes.
@@Lethalgarage damn. Non beadlocks here i come lol
Yeah bro I ain’t going with beadlock either if that has to happen every time I need to swap tires 🤣
@@Savagesandoval06 it is a long process on the plus side though you can mount them yourself at home
I have beadlocks and one of my beadlock bolts is spinning with the nut that is on the rim. Is this fixable?
I don’t think so
Very good my bro keep up and love video 💯
Matt has shoes on!
It happens
The bolts not threading in by hand is scary.
Directional tire with non-directional tread?
Do all Weld wheel wheels fit with the Carlyle 15 inch conversion
No
The video is not correct just spun my insert Called wild on 1.9.23 The ring is torque to 1st 6 p 2nd 12p 3rd 18 p
The data I am sharing is right from their printed paper guide that came with the wheels.
Besides tq that high they should have anti sieze on threads not dry.
38lbs isn’t that a lot
I always thought 18 was it.
I always thought 18 was it.
What size wheels are those? 15X10?
this is the second vidreo where somebody got the valve stem i did not get one
What size socket?
What torque wrench is that?
It’s a snapon
inch pounds or ft pounds?

800 per wheel, wheels are street legal, the specific tires I picked, not so much. Anyone can do them. As you see in my video, just a patience game
LethalGarage thanks i appreciate it but one more thing... how much were your frontrunners compared to your rear wheeles?
Fronts were $500ish each

Forgot the anti sieze
We go with natures Loctite
