You can always count on Chris to ride the bike to its full potential and give a decent review. His style is his own and no concern to me. Good job Bike world.
+MotoBoy Remember, this is the first ride at the launch. Anyone who gives you a more technical review than this on the first ride is just quoting the press release...
Bike World I would think anyone who's spent a day ripping at the track would have a little more to say on how the bike actually rides. The title of this video does say "full review". Don't mean to be rude or anything, just expecting more. Cheers!
+MotoBoy You'll be surprised how little time we get on the bike at a launch. 4, 15 min session if we're lucky! If you want the detail there are enough written reviews of the bike, we'd sooner concentrate on how the bike feels. Thanks for the feedback though!
Great review...kept it real world and let us mere mortals understand the changes Ducati made for 2015. Thanks for keeping it simple, keep up the great work!
Alright, lads. You nailed this video. It was the best video review of the Panigale I have ever seen. People I know have bought bikes based on this review. I hope you have got some great plans for that V4 review in 2018. Own it. Rock on. Convince me.
Looks fantastic and great reporting Chris. I manage to downshift my 1199S without the clutch but will assume it is not a good thing. It works well as long as blipping the throttle and downshifting is done correctly though. I am not ready for an upgrade yet as I am no where using what the 1199S can offer to it's full potential, probably will never be so I will keep what I have and probably live longer.
Nice one lads! I'm taking delivery of a S1KRR on Friday and I've put my deposit down on a standard 1299 which is coming to our shores in June. Standard model includes auto-blipper; difference is it doesn't include electronic Ohlins and LED lights. Going to fit the Akra pipe instead of having the electronic suspension of the S.
Exactly when Ducati joined the HP war instead of the handling war is hard to pin down, I think it might be when electronics took over handling. Whenever it was it was a sad day.
so ducati gives you a bike but the beemer comes along and beats it then ducati makes another bike to compete which is really slightly modded overmthe older version?
The Year 2050 AD. Ducati has released their new bike; the Ducati Panigale 6299. This bike offers minor cosmetic changes but has seriously improved torque characteristics over last year's Panigale 6199. Will this be the Panigale to upstage the litrebikes from Japan and Germany? Only time will tell. In other news Ducati's pickup truck and van division has posted stellar profits for the year. Today marks ten years since Ducati's then CEO birthed the controversial idea of directly transplanting the Panigale engine into the Ducati Panelgale. The Panelgale has seen significant success in NASCAR's Truck Series; consistently defeating the F-150, Ram, and Tundra. The CEO of Ford Motor Company has repeatedly expressed dismay over Ducati's 1000cc engine size difference over the competition. Ducati claims their 2 cylinder setup naturally makes engine sizing irrelevant. This as they announced earlier this week the release of the all new Ducati Panel-gale 12,999. Drivers testing this all new truck have agreed it is a solid improvement. Moreover Ducati has cleverly re-engineered the driver's seat to offer the driver only second degree burns as opposed to the previous model's third degree. A welcome change from the trucking community.
Bike World Don't worry, the guys at MCN don't know even how to edit a video properly with sound levels are all over the place. Many of their videos are unwatchable anyway.
Anything you wana start on but don't go below a 600cc you gotta learn throttle control and you'll be fine, also always wear gear, you can wipe of sweat but you can't wipe off road rash
+Aeris Jise I think the above advice is poor. your first bike should not be a powerful one. stick with commuter style bikes if you can. anything up to something like a 650cc twin cylinder. CBR500, 390 Duke, DR200 are all good beginner bikes. you'll make mistakes while learning and if you're riding something powerful, a small mistake can be deadly.
I'll go with a ninja 250. I learned a lot from thus bike you can shift and down shift 4 gears in one block. so much fun I had on the ninja 250. oh with a 2 brothers exhaust it sounded so nice. but 250 is really bad on the highways. now after I learned all the tricks I own an 899 panigale. oh the difference. but wet mode on the panigale below 5000 rim feels like a ninja 250. I suggest to learn and buy a 250 cbr or ninja for 2200 or so and learn and ride for 2000 miles . before you upgrade, to a 600 or more, and expect to spend 800 or more on protection, snell or dot helmet, leather gloves , protection jacket , and Kevlar jeans, and nice riding above ankle motorcycle shoes.
Yamaha needs to take some styling cues from Ducati, they really fucked up that new R1. I wouldn't take one for free. This 1299 is such a beautiful bike.
+Mr Russian The differeince between a ducati 1299 and a ZX10 isn't like the differeince between a civic and ferrari. Lmfao. The Japanese bike's are never far behind if behind at all on anything for $10k less
Man the styling alone says it all I personally could not ride a japanease bike my second would be aprilia and the s1000rr as I currently own an 848 evo corse I fell in love with Italian bikes beauty rumble torque track capabilities and pussy magnet asap I've rides in 30-50 bikes groups not once but the whole summer here in charlotte one night we went out to this huge concert and all the chick's that walked by our bikes multiple compliments to me and my 848 I was literally astonished same goes for car shows Google UNC Sunday night meets
+Mr Russian Styling on a bike can be changed. With the Euro bikes you do get some things. Performance on all modern liter bikes are too close to say one is miles ahead of another. All of them are way more power than you could ever use on the street. Most people I know are faster on a 750 or 600 on the street. Oh well. To each their own.
Hi everybody can you please give me some suggestions on how to verify with videotape and a go pro hero 4 silver my 1299S when it intermittently and randomly and unexpectedly stalls out? Every time i take it to the dealer they said they can't duplicate the problem and Ducati of North America video taped my bike with no problems. But my 1299s still stalls out on me in congested stop in go traffic all the time and when I feather the clutch and drive between 0 to 15 mph on the street or freeway or on the street. However I'm an amateur and I just purchased a hero 4 go pro silver camera do you have suggestions on how to mount it to the 1299S gas tank ? I'm concerned with losing the camera what type a suction mount the go pro hero 4 camera? What I should use and what can I use in case the suction loses its grip to keep the camera from damaging the motorcycle and the camera in case it falls thanks advance for everything. The dealer said prove the 1299s is stalling out with video verification because they claim everything is checking out A ok on the computer test sheet with Ducati engineers and Ducati video tape that they won't show me What would you do? Thanks in advance for everything.
Each to their own, but the r1m is one ugly looking bike, the panigale is stunning. Went from a ninja to the panigale, would not go back, makes me grin every time I get on it. The Duc is the king.
It looks and sounds sexy as but that's about it. For half the price, Kawasaki H2 is there. However I would buy it... if i had a sickness called "money to burn disease"
Dude, the 1199 (last few model years) has the exact same display, only slightly shorter than the new screen. The R1M is going to be a phenomenal bike, but if anyone copied, it was Yamaha...and I love Yamaha btw. (Owner of an R1, 2 R6s, & 899 ...So I'm not trying to hate on Yamaha...) Coincidentally, I'll also be getting a 1299 when it's delivered next month, and I plan on possibly trading in my current R1 for the R1M.
I think you might wanna do your research. Ducati was the first in the business to have a color TFT display. It's also pretty safe to say that the R1M took some design queues from the Panigale. I love both brands and have owned both Ducs and Yamahas so I'm not being a fanboy here, you seem to have your facts a bit mixed up :).

Ducati is a Lifestyle !!! Either love or hate ... to own and drive a Ducati is something magical..I loveee Ducati
You can always count on Chris to ride the bike to its full potential and give a decent review. His style is his own and no concern to me. Good job Bike world.
Thanks!
+Tommynthat Meh, I would have preferred more technical talk. Just a bunch of blabber about how good the bike is without any real reasons.
Cheers!

Awesome review, editing, music and host! Subscribed! I can't wait to test ride the 1299!
Great review...kept it real world and let us mere mortals understand the changes Ducati made for 2015. Thanks for keeping it simple, keep up the great work!
Best review I have seen in a long time! Great job!!
Awesome looking Duke just getting better and better
I love mine so much I still watch videos on it :P
Awesome bike !!! By far the best looking literbike on the market. Thanks for the first review.
Oh man that is so fucking badass, it is a dream of mine to be able to ride a ducati someday.
Alright, lads. You nailed this video. It was the best video review of the Panigale I have ever seen. People I know have bought bikes based on this review. I hope you have got some great plans for that V4 review in 2018. Own it. Rock on. Convince me.

My dream bike! I will ride that beauty every chance i get when i buy it!

Great Review guys,thanks a million!!
Now thats what I call testing...hard on brakes ,power slides ,wheelies ,fast laps.like
Great preview and test ride! I'll have to stick with my R1 for now
yet another great vid!! my only grip is we don't get to see more of you riding the bikes you review!
Very nice video!
Yes indeed a nice video. 👍
Great review bro, very in-depth, you're also a fantastic rider, it gives a great perspective for a faster track rider!
I can feel the deep vibration through the sound! Lol! feeling stressed while watching!
There are many awesome bikes, but i only see a special kind of smile when riders try this one.
Awesome vid.
First review out, nice.
I can afford it, but I'm probably getting a Mitsubishi Pajero =p
Good review, looking forward to the comparison with the S1000RR
Btw does it still cook your right thigh?
How can this be classed with the litre sports bikes when it is 30% bigger than one litre? Or am I missing something?
Duc is two cylinders vs 4 cylinders
it's not bud. this bike is not in the lite bike class. the 1199 is the one that competes with the 1 liter bikes.
Mate, you really look like Woody Allen in 'em specs. Wicked!
great review !
i still like my old panigale 1199.
can not wait to see how this new bike will compete on the race circuit..
Exactly when Ducati joined the HP war instead of the handling war is hard to pin down, I think it might be when electronics took over handling. Whenever it was it was a sad day.
Great review, thanks 👍
Kev.
so ducati gives you a bike but the beemer comes along and beats it then ducati makes another bike to compete which is really slightly modded overmthe older version?
Nice Video & Exciting Bike!
haha omg that's the geezer from MCN behind Chris at 54 seconds
Great review dude! Different shades and cap though they make you look daft Son ;)

Desmond Aranha lol, Is that why the Japanese & Germans combined have less than 5% of Aprilia/Ducati's success in WSBK?
+Desmond Aranha you should write a book man !+1
That GoPro helmet mount is awesome. Where can I get it?
That's a rig we've made...
Bike World Ah ok, thanks. You should make a short video about it :)
eranoobs
Sounds like a great idea, but do we want to share our secrets! Guys at MCN would love to know how we work!
Bike World Don't worry, the guys at MCN don't know even how to edit a video properly with sound levels are all over the place. Many of their videos are unwatchable anyway.

True!
mad, pops wheelie at 240kmh.
Wonderful review. May I ask how tall you are?
lot of things changed after 6 years😌😌
couldn't the 1199 be made as good with a simple ECU tune from tuneboy which also gives you the auto-blip quick down shift?
My understanding was that the clutchless up and down shifts were on all of the new models and not just the s version. Is this still true?
How jealous it's snowing here
Great Review!
Looking back at this in 2024. Man i had forgot about Chris’s hairstyle😂😂
Awesome...now, when is the Panigale streetfighter /naked version coming out? :)
If God road a motorcycle thats his bike
The R1 2015 or Panigale 1299?
4:44 pulling out a leg @23mph while shooting with the camera?!?
the shark helmet that u wear what its name??
Any chance of a job on bike channel?
maybe
Bike from 2015, hair from 2008, skills from the year 3000.
Name of the background score or soundtrack used ??
It was dope as fuck right?!
@@joshchacko7729 Absolutely ... 👌
How did you get that camera mount fixed to the helmet? Is there a rig you can buy or is that a custom rig?
It's a custom rig, we made it from carbon rods. Looks stupid but works really well!
Bike World Any chance you can post some pictures? I want to build one. Great work!.
good review....i love mine
Don't hate you dude just the sunglasses 😁
What's next? 1399 panigale?
i like your vids!
Is this a good first bike?
Probably not
No haha
There's no problem starting on a bike like this, just keep your mind right and respect the throttle
+BurninRubber93 mate your advice is awful *smacks your head with a rolled up newspaper*
+Oducks58 its my ist bike and i am fine:)
I want one.Thank You.
wow 9 years ago, you look very different :D
Beautiful aswome bike, but the price,
Equivalent Beemer is 6k cheaper. Would pay probably 3k more but 6? Damn
What helmet is that??
Thank Audi for the improvements, now that it is a german bike.
0:54 you can see the guy from MCN
i wonder if ducati will ever make a triple or 4cylinder bike. It would be epic to be a triple panigale 1100 or 1200
a 1200cc v4 engine would be the best.
The Desmosedici RR was a V4. So they've been there
Can anyone tell me what a good bike would be for a first timer? Thanks.
Anything you wana start on but don't go below a 600cc you gotta learn throttle control and you'll be fine, also always wear gear, you can wipe of sweat but you can't wipe off road rash

LOL at german bike, made in Bologna by Italian engineers, as shown by the flag on tank/sidepanels. This ain't no shitty krautbike.
I have a radio controlled 1:4 size modell from this bike which is able to reach a speed of 120km/h!!!
The RC Collector it balances itself easily?
ryanwilsonbackup yes
❤️
Good review. But definitely wouldn't call it a full review. You spend the last 2 minutes saying you couldn't fully review the power and electronics.
Amazing bike! Maybe in another life lol $$

I had a 06r1..... man, this bike was fast....
tell you the truth the r1m is just as good but fuck it that ducati is drop dead sexy

had a 1199 panigale, great bike but unbearably uncomfortable.
I want to know who the camera man was hes insane.

like this reveiw
Motocross neck brace 🤦♂️🤣
What a muppet!
toadamine not at all, a few people wear them, especially when you’re testing new bikes this this level.

Who else got the toy version made by Maisto ? :v 12:1
well he is definitely Australian

R1M is still waaaaaay better!! Ducati had to make a 1299 just to keep up with the R1 and S1Krr. they needed to add 200cc just to fight with them lolol
Dominic in those bike have twice as many cylinders and twice as many intakes
Each to their own, but the r1m is one ugly looking bike, the panigale is stunning. Went from a ninja to the panigale, would not go back, makes me grin every time I get on it. The Duc is the king.
you cant buy a panigale with you head you gotta buy it with you heart its expensive to run and buy its not the easiest buy to live with
It looks and sounds sexy as but that's about it. For half the price, Kawasaki H2 is there.
However I would buy it... if i had a sickness called "money to burn disease"
Nah I want the 2015 r1
Is that Mick Jagger's bastard son?
I want!
ducati 1299 Panigale spedometer seems like Yamaha R1M ?? great marketing Ducati like copy from Yamaha R1M :)
Dude, the 1199 (last few model years) has the exact same display, only slightly shorter than the new screen. I love both brands and have owned both Ducs and Yamahas so I'm not being a fanboy here, you seem to have your facts a bit mixed up :).
Haha what a idiot this guy is. Foot in mouth.
Iskandar Muda There is one FACT and that is Ducati is the most original bike make. BTW, Ducati started using similar displays when the Japanese were still playing with their analogue gauges.
Does F1 diesel sounds RIGHT? V2 seriously? LAPS makes bikes, Germans cars end of. If people know how to kock it doesnt mean they know how to make a bike or a car for exsample LANCIA.
Great review better an all this ' yo how's it going' yank rubbish
Hey there. 5 Star Work. broken measly What's happening, guys. 11
Great bike, wrong paycheck......
never understood the appeal of Ducati. maybe if they were actually fast.
Too bad Yamaha and the rest of the Japanese bikes are gonna eat its lunch. AGAIN!
Because that bike looks soooo good spewing oil all over the shoulder of the road. And good luck getting parts. Meanwhile, a Yamaha R1 costs less, is infinitely more reliable and will kick it's over priced ass all over creation. But hey, looking cool is where it's at.
Thats one giant nose...
