NOTE: In this example, the "live load" specification I was working to already had a safety factor built in. Therefore I was happy to accept a max stress of 205MPa, compared with the 240MPa yield stress of mild steel. If your spec does not already have a safety factor built in, you would need to more margin according to the saftey factor you are designing to.
