"What's your laugh sound like?" "Well, you wouldn't know." Martin just slipped that knife between the ribs with such dexterity. Another wonderful hike Kevin. Thank you.
We're not as smart as you - great idea. Plus you're outside, getting some fresh air - some sun! Faux exercise! Hey, lookit how Kevin's built up his upper body/arms just from handling the camera. He'll go an hour with one of two hands suspended halfway up. Yet never grimace or indicate discomfort.
there's a funny clip on youtube with steve martin on a dating show. steve actually had color in his hair on the show. i think it was the love connection or something.
Martin Short is my FAVORITE, just love him. I wish he would do more movies. He was hilarious in the movie, "Pure Luck" just one of many great movies that I love with Mr. Short.
This is by far my favorite episode! I love Martin Short, The first time I saw him was in the movie Inner Space when I was a kid. From that point on I was always a fan of his.
Yes, when he's in the waiting room and he can hear Denis Quaid talking in his brain, he pops up and says "I'm POSSESSED!" Makes me laugh every time. That movie was WIDE OPEN for a sequel, but it was never to happen (because Hollywood is too interested in prequels, reboots and re-imaginings).
Burnintreez321 Great movie. Unfortunately it didn't do very well (26 million dollar total, and ranked 47th highest grossing of 1987), so they never made a sequel and probably never will (even though the ending is WIDE OPEN for one). This is a movie that would be perfect for a reboot: It is a good movie, but just didn't do very well at the time. Lately, Hollywood has just been remaking or rebooting movies that were already good or that nobody was interested in... This one _might_ be just the ticket. Then again, it's been 31 years, so maybe too late?
I've met Martin at his Muskoka home a few times! Really down to earth quality guy, always treated me with great respect while I was doing work for him. Great interview. Cheers
@@pamelara06 the first time I was there, he was having breakfast with Kurt Russell (also has a lake Roseau cottage in Muskoka) and I have to say I was a little star struck! I was doing a delivery and install in his kitchen and when I moved the appliance I wanted to make sure it was cleaned up underneath before we installed the new one. I asked marring if he had a towel to clean the floor up a little and he replies with “hey Kurt, can I borrow your shirt” as a joke. He also hung around and chatted with us while we did our job. When we went to leave he came out and patted me on the shoulder and gave me 50$ as a tip and was very thankful. We went back a few times after and he was cool enough to remember us from the last times. Again, great guy and true character in real life!
Even tho Kevin shoulda planned-ahead. Like Rocky Balboa always said and says. "Plan ahead." i.e. Kevin COULD have rented a stage at WB, built a set that SEEMED/seems-to-be something Griffith-Parksy. Hell we'd be in year five. There'd be a RETURN of our money!
Im 57. Suffer in life ? Only situational now and then. Like oh let’s say it’s hot outside. Whatever the case my friend, you’re 24 now. Hopefully you are past your pity party. You have a computer or access to one apparently and you’re young. Figure out what you love to do and go do it...
That was excellent, sir! Martin Short is definitely one of my favorites. He makes you laugh, but doesn't take up a lot of space while doing it. Great guy!
Martin Short is one of the best ever, one of the top 10 people I'd like to meet. Very smart, quick witted, clean and honest. Always positive, and never angry.
Martin Short is just such a kind person that no one could be offended by his warm hearted little pokes at you. I have always found him to be the funniest comedian...he is just so quick witted. His sight gags make me laugh just thinking about them! Everyone he works with is funnier with him alongside. He is a true comic genius!

I just LOVE Martin Short - so proud that he is a Canuck. 👍🏻❤️🇨🇦He is so sharp, so fast and has something that gets rarer with every passing day...WIT ! SO UNFAIR that his wife passed away...why do good people die young, but #45 is still drawing breath. It defies all logic. Anyway...enjoyed the show, Kevin, and OMG...I almost started laughing when you mentioned WEEDS. I can just picture you chairing the city council meetings. LOL.
Kevin nails it when he says, "you're kind of like a modern-day Don Rickles, in a way...underhanded compliments...it's a love letter disguised as a suicide note."
Loved Ed Grimley as a kid. The cartoon spin off was a big part of childhood too. In high school, i enjoyed his Jiminy character. It was nice growing up with him.
a lot of people think they're incidental comments, like supportive and whatnot. Some people literally CANNOT recognize a punch line. This scares me. Where I grew up what Marty did is a true expression of love for somebody if you get it. If not you are out of the circle of trust. Great work again Kevin!
Loved him in 3 movies!! Inner Space, Captain Ron and Father of the Bride, he even used an accent in that one and his action in it - just cracks me up! I do wish he’s in few more movies to come, Please Marty!! 😊

Impossible not to love Martin Short...just a lovely, kind, and hilarious person.

I think Martin Short is one of the funniest Canadians ever to hit Hollywood and the thing I love about him the most is how HUMBLE he is.
ClusterHeadSurvivor hes one of the greats for sure

I just adore Martin Short. What a beautiful soul.
How can Martin Short still be so youthful like damn
It's amazing, he's 67 here. Kevin too, he's 64 here.

I realize comedy, like many things, is a matter of taste, but Short's Jiminy Glick character is about the funniest schtick I've seen.
