We did go a few times when my girls were little and we stayed there. It is a good family spot, the hotel section definately needs a redo but it's a nice property. Free circus acts, the Midway, AdventureDome and The Steakhouse all worth a visit.
Yes I heard that comment. I can appreciate that kind of humor but I would have edited it out. Inappropriate for this type of VLOG. I appreciate the fair evaluation and review but man, you gotta learn the names of some basic dishes: cheese blintz, corned beef hash, chicken fried steak, barbecued and fried CHICKEN…not bacon! I like your reviews but seems like you were a little off with this one.
Hey Dan, I like the way you didn't hate on the buffet. We all know it's not the best around, but for the price it's a pick and choose. I'm still glad you represented it.
I see people trying to afford Vegas with family in tow and this is affordable. They need a few of these, it’s similar to Fremont. The Asians get the Wynn. Lol.
Now this was a solid review of Circus Circus buffet. People need to keep in mind, as you can hear in the background, this place is made for families. Families are not trying to pay $40 or $70 for their kids to eat. Then they throw in a few things for the adults. According to the site prices run M-F $19.99, S&S 22.99 for brunch and M-F $21.99 S&S $24.99 for dinner and its even less for kids under 10 and seniors. Its a descent family buffet for the price. It may be a lil different right now coming out of pandemic until it gets busy again throughout the week. The dinner 4:30-10p has a carving station, pizza and other selections, it may only be on the weekends until it gets busy again. Thanx for this far unbiased review.
Your comments are on point. CC is not competing with the high end buffets. However a few budget buffets have open and their price point is higher ($20 to $30) except South Point. With that said, unless the Stations and a few other open with pre-pandemic prices, CC price will stay as is.
I totally agree with you, as a simple family orientated buffet it should be more affordable @ around 14.99-17.99 for adults w/added discounts for kids. Also, they desperately need an attendant more frequently cleaning the food service area to keep it more presentable. Overall, I still support Circus Circus, it's a part of Vegas history.
As a former teacher, and from your presentation, I would give this buffet a gentleman's 'C'. It is unexciting, but not terrible. Reminds me a lot of the Golden Corral but at double the price (I know, this is Las Vegas). I would definitely pay extra for the Bacchanal at Caesar's since I am on vacation. I can't get the Bacchanal any place else, but I can get Golden Corral any day of the week. Keep up the good work, Dan. I give your vlog, an "A".
The buffet there isnt that bad. A lot of people say so because of the lower reviews of the resort, but its basically a standard buffet for a regular suburban town. Same quality as a Old Country, Sizzler, Ryans, or other chain buffet. This one gets low reviews because its on the same street as places like Wicked Spoon and of course Bacchanal. Great buffet to go to and save money, eat decent food and not get sick. Although from this video, they need to work on keeping it clean. Cheaper buffets mean messier clientele with kids.
Before your review, I've only heard bad things about the Circus Circus buffet. But, it seems to offer a decent variety of basic buffet food, was palatable, at Las Vegas prices. Your Jedi mind trick worked.
Good strategy on staying away from the pasta Dan 😃. This was the first place I visited in Vegas when I a child! Love the arcade/carney games... Funny, the buffet seemed a lot larger when I was young... perhaps I've grown a bit😉
I remember going to the CC buffet way back in the day. Super basic back then. It definitely ain't no Bacchanal. BTW, that was a cheese Blintz at 10:00.
Reminds me of the buffet in Vegas Vacation... "I'll have some of the yella. Now don't get cheap on me." "Mmm, this bread pudding is extra runny tonight."
I love do see these type of Vegas, especially buffet. Having said that it’s hard to screw up pancakes, French toast and omelets. But fun to see though. Back in the day my buddies and I tried almost every Vegas buffet including circus circus, I’m down for any buffet! lol
Dan your the man , nice review we all no that the circus gets a lot of hate Thanks for giving it a fair review at the cost. I ate at the sandwich shop across the way and had a corn beef sandwich they could teach the resorts world a few things on a 10 dollar sandwich!
Hi Dan, Hope you had a fantastic 4th of July 💙❤️ Thank you for your honest review. I love an omelette especially a western. Love to see you do another review at Wicked Spoon. Can’t wait for your next food review. Happy eating my friend 😋
I ate there around 2017. I always wondered where the buffet was as I forgot which casino was located in. Wasn’t the best by any means but definitely wasn’t the worst. Thanks for posting !
@@DanVsWorld I think Phil Ruffin bought out Circus Circus last year. The buffet looked a lot better than it did when I ate there. He also owns TI. The buffet when they had it at TI was respectable. As far as value I remember eating breakfast at TI and then going over to Wynn the next day. At the time breakfast was only $5 more and was light years better. Still I think it is all in the perspective, If you go to the coffee shop get a full breakfast and coffee it will run you at least $20. So in that sense you can get a lot more, likely be able to get by with minimal or no lunch and try a variety of dishes for almost the same price.
@2:30 Was that peach cobbler covered with a chocolate sauce? Sure looks like it and that would be a Circus Circus move for sure. Circus Circus looks like it is continuing to be the KMart of casinos.
I stayed at Circus Circus in June 2019. Usually stay at the Linq. Found the buffet to be one of the best in Vegas. Also, doesn't give you sticker shock Good American comfort food. Fried chicken for breakfast The Linq is next door to the Flamingo. Their buffet is still closed. So may stay at Circus Circus again Circus Circus is a thousand feet away from Resorts World, which opened June 2021. A good place to launch a tour of Resorts World Looks like they improved the buffet
Years ago, Circus Circus offered a free lunch buffet. It was about what a person would expect. I think they thought it would attract the slot players. Trouble was, the locals and construction workers mobbed the place. Ate a lot and didn’t gamble.
We probably wouldn’t end up eating at the buffet, just because there are so many other options, but $25 for a breakfast/lunch buffet isn’t a bad deal. We love corned beef hash too. I want some now! -S
Finally put the gravy on the chicken fried steak!🤣 I'd never stay here or make a trip to eat here (Steakhouse excluded), but it looked pretty decent for a regular basic buffet! Congratulations to #SayHiToMatthew & Amanda on their pregnancy!
Thanks for the great video. Picture quality was very good 👍. I love Circus Circus 🤡. The buffet is excellent. Very clean and yummy food. Solid choice for breakfast and lunch. Excellent value per dollar.
Great review Dan (and Jay). This is a basic buffet. Nothing fancy but looks OK. Will give it a try next time we go to Circus Circus. Had to go back and review a few times because kept hearing you refer to the chicken as bacon. Not sure if you were saying bacon or need my hearing checked. 🤣
wow, that is so expensive! we went there about 6 years ago, and I think the price was $10.95...and the food was nothing special, something you would find at a Dennys
I love Circus Circus been staying there sense 1997 . And all their food is good. I especially love the pizzeria. It was actually the first place I ate in Vegas. We had the red eye and didn’t get to are room until about 3:00 am and had to get room service because most things in the casino were closed. I no that’s not the pizzeria but trust me back then they had the same pie. Me and my family have loved it every since. If we stay there a week we will eat there 4or5 times.
I would totally visit their Buffet. When my kid's were younger Hometown Buffet was a place we visited about once a month. This buffet reminded me of it lol nothing grand but still okay for the price. My kid's are teenagers now and we have visited some of the more expensive buffets in Vegas and tbh it was a waste of money they hardly ate a thing. This buffet seems like it would be more to their liking. Thanks for the review.
Hey Dan... how's it going. There isn't anything special there, but looks like typical breakfast fare... but as much as you want. Seems worth it to me, especially on the Strip... as there's plenty of other places that'll charge 2-3 times as much for less food. If it's me there, I'm putting a big ole pile of bacon on my and smothering that with syrup. Yum! 'Til next time.
Yep I agree I didn’t think the buffet was too bad. Most buffets also went up by 5$ all around the strip so this buffet is still budget for being on strip
2:40 cheese blintz. Like others have commented, this isn't a bad buffet, just nothing fancy, kind of a Golden Corral type everyday buffet. I'd eat your choice of omelet, it looks pretty good. Unfortunately it's rated on the curve against the other nicer casino buffets. It's been like 10 years since I've been to the Circus Circus, but I'd eat there again based upon your review. I'm glad to see the corned beef too, as well as the chicken fried steak and gravy!
Best buffet for the price is Asia Buffet at the NE corner of Eastern and Flamingo. It's only around $12 for lunch and all the food is good especially their sushi.
What I don't like about this Buffet (,being the largest Buffet) is the mix of smells from all the food? But when it gets down to food, back then when I went years ago it's pretty good American food!😋😋😋
Circus is soo fun! Back in the 1990s, they had the coolest hello kitty store. I use to buy tons of stuff for friends and myself. Buffets are always good when they have omelets, meats, fruit and salads. They fancy seafood buffets are the pricey ones. 🤠👍
I'm going to say they keep a very clean buffet area around the food which is impressive. Compared to MGM 🤮🤢. I would definitely choose this one (even if there's more food to choose at the MGM). Liking your food video's - nice & detailed.
Sometimes a $25 buffet is all you need. Something to fill the belly. Especially if you chugged 10% canned bloody mary the night before 😁 Actually a real bloody might have bumped up the enjoyment factor a notch.
Nice review, Dan. Though everything you had was good, I'm with Jay on the price point that it should be lower. For the price, an amazing brunch with a view could be had at Mon Ami Gabi. But, I can see if one is into variety over high quality, buffets are hard to beat.
These buffets are definitely better for breakfast. They aren’t crazy expensive and give a basic breakfast. Nice video, by the way that was a cheese blintz you ate
most the buffets closed permanantly so the few that survived jacked up their prices. I thought this would be in the $8-12 range. I ate here once in 1988 (price for lunch was $2.69). back them, I don't think there were any cheap buffets except this one. the casino's lost so much money during the pandemic I think they will ream u as much as possible for the next little while. this will be pretty common for the next year or two. are airline tickets double or triple what they used to be?
So good to see everything is opening back up. Vegas had to lose BILLIONS last year. I would visit this buffet.. Everything looks good. I went here years ago and the quality was good.
Price inflation on the strip is crazy now! This doesn't look bad, but would not have been $20-25 a few years ago even at a better place for breakfast. I'm glad I just go to Spring Mountain Road for food.
For the price it’s not a bad buffet. I will say that whatever people say about comparing it to the Golden Coral, Circus Circus buffet is one of the better ones where they keep their food stations pretty cleaned. I’ve watched some of the higher ends buffets and they need to clean up their acts!
"du fromage" means "with cheese" in french :) . Haven't been to this one, but sounds better than MGM Grand which I visited just prior to the pandemic last year. Stale bland sushi rolls, cocktail shrimp still frozen, meat carving station had some unidentifiable tough, fatty meat that was obviously from some budget supplier. If you wanted to upscale your bud light to something with actual flavor, those were another $10 each. And the wait staff didn't seem to do much of anything but stand around looking unhappy. I think it was about $40.00, but terrible. So this one actually looks better.
The Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino (formerly Terrible's) has an even cheaper $7 buffet called the S7 buffet, the cheapest in Las Vegas, although it may not have reopened yet. Also, the Garden Buffet at South Point Casino is very inexpensive. I know the Excalibur has a mediocre buffet. Also, Planet Hollywood has a mediocre buffet. Krazy Buffet is supposed to be a decent buffet off the strip that is cheap, but surprisingly high quality of food. Nonetheless, I am hoping you will review all the buffets I mentioned on here.
Excalibur is the worst of the ones open now. For the price at Circus Circus, I'd take their buffet over MGM any day. Quality isn't much higher there but the cost sure is
The food looks exactly like it did when I last ate at the Circus Circus buffet… back in the 1980’s. Basic, a lot of it dry, whether because of being overcooked or sitting under the heat lamps too long. $24.95 is far too expensive, this is, at maximum, a $12.99 buffet. When you ordered your omelette, I was gagging, because I heard “lychee,” not “light cheese.” 😂
Would you visit this buffet?
No
No...too many others much better and for not all that much more. Secondly, the food looked dry and unappealing.
We did go a few times when my girls were little and we stayed there. It is a good family spot, the hotel section definately needs a redo but it's a nice property. Free circus acts, the Midway, AdventureDome and The Steakhouse all worth a visit.

Looks very good! I like the price also! Very reasonable! 😋
Reasonable is a good word to describe it 👌🏼
Nice review, Dan. Though everything you had was good, I'm with Jay on the price point that it should be lower. For the price, an amazing brunch with a view could be had at Mon Ami Gabi. But, I can see if one is into variety over high quality, buffets are hard to beat.
Haha yea we were feeling hungry and it did the trick 👌🏼
These buffets are definitely better for breakfast. They aren’t crazy expensive and give a basic breakfast. Nice video, by the way that was a cheese blintz you ate
Yes they are! Thanks Chris!
Omelettes for the victory doeee! This place was a 7 of 10 fasho fasho
Haha you love them omelette stations!
most the buffets closed permanantly so the few that survived jacked up their prices.
2.69$ sounds crazyyy haha 😭
So good to see everything is opening back up. Vegas had to lose BILLIONS last year. I would visit this buffet.. Everything looks good. I went here years ago and the quality was good.
Not bad at all
Price inflation on the strip is crazy now! This doesn't look bad, but would not have been $20-25 a few years ago even at a better place for breakfast.
I'm glad I just go to Spring Mountain Road for food.
Yep everything seems more expensive on the strip
I remember the circus circus buffet being decent but it was the early 90s
Im not high maintenance either 😊☺️
One of the cheaper ones still around
I don't know if it's just me I rather pay a little more for a better looking buffett with more options. Anyhow another great buffett review thanks
Gotta try them all haha thanks Chris
mmmmm, the bread pudding is extra runny tonight!
For the price it’s not a bad buffet. I will say that whatever people say about comparing it to the Golden Coral, Circus Circus buffet is one of the better ones where they keep their food stations pretty cleaned. I’ve watched some of the higher ends buffets and they need to clean up their acts!
Yep I agree I enjoyed this buffet
"du fromage" means "with cheese" in french :) . Haven't been to this one, but sounds better than MGM Grand which I visited just prior to the pandemic last year. Stale bland sushi rolls, cocktail shrimp still frozen, meat carving station had some unidentifiable tough, fatty meat that was obviously from some budget supplier. If you wanted to upscale your bud light to something with actual flavor, those were another $10 each. And the wait staff didn't seem to do much of anything but stand around looking unhappy. I think it was about $40.00, but terrible. So this one actually looks better.
Universal in Los Angeles buffet?
@@DanVsWorld Sorry I was going by memory and got the name wrong. MGM Grand Buffet is what I meant.
You got a glimpse of the Fontainebleau in your intro. I wonder if it'll ever open.
It looks dreadful in person.
Your Videos are Awesome Danvsworld
Thank you Ikaika!
Thank you Kenneth very thorough recommendations
@@DanVsWorld Buffet of Asia is another cheap buffet off the Las Vegas Strip
Brings back memories
Memories
Excalibur is the worst of the ones open now. For the price at Circus Circus, I'd take their buffet over MGM any day. Quality isn't much higher there but the cost sure is
Circus circus wasn’t too bad for me
I ate here in 2018 w/ my family & honestly not the best but not bad for the price especially when you just want to eat something to get the day going
That’s facts, not bad at all Samantha
The food looks exactly like it did when I last ate at the Circus Circus buffet… back in the 1980’s. Basic, a lot of it dry, whether because of being overcooked or sitting under the heat lamps too long. $24.95 is far too expensive, this is, at maximum, a $12.99 buffet.
When you ordered your omelette, I was gagging, because I heard “lychee,” not “light cheese.” 😂
A lychee omelette would prolly taste good too
@@DanVsWorld no. No, it would not. 😁
Why are the breakfast items in three different sections?
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day
Legit review. Thanks
You bet
i personally thought the food was alright.
The Chicken Noodle Soup is for the people with HARSH Hangovers :)
True lol
"that"s omlette in French" LOL. another good review, thanks.
no prob :D
Steave Martin classic joke, the only French he knows is word for cheese omelet , me too
Was cool bro meeting you anJay at the Circus 🎪 👍🏼
You too Sam! 🙌🏼
