Wow... you guys really surprised me with this one. So much support! This man is doing an amazing thing for kids who otherwise are not given a chance to succeed. The least I could do is make his a little bit better. He truly appreciates all of your awesome comments. Thank you!
Your cable management is beautiful as always on this build. More than than happy to see another video as well, we love you man, try not to forget that.
Apparently TechSource used a similar title? I honestly didn't know because I don't watch his content much. Either way the title stands. Not changing it
This is exactly why I like and support every one of Jayz videos. He doesn't even realize himself that he is a selfless person and is always doing things for other people and never asking for things in return. I follow his videos not only for the tech and the cars, but because his videos just bring the good vibes around all the time. Keep up the good work Jay!
TheNunoTubes sadly im not rich :0 But i gonna try to stream instead of taking the donations for me , i will set a goal of lets say 1300€ and make a pc and do a give away😍
Jay...that friend of yours who does so much for others all the time isn't the only one who has a great heart. The guy who built him that supercomputer he's been wanting for so long has one too. Thanks for sharing this with us man.
Hey Jay, I have an idea, you should do a charity live stream, whether it be on youtube or twitch, and donate all the donations to the school they are putting together. Im sure a lot of your subscribers would love to find a way to help him out.
Better than a give away. Showing people that they matter to you and value their part in who you are or have become is an important part of life, I think too many people fail to make time for. Ty for sharing that moment with us.
I'm doing the same thing for an out of work father of three navy vet who streams on twitch using a god awful stock 8320 / 750ti, giving him a 6600k, 16 gigs ddr4, 480 gig ssd, nzxt elite and an r9 390 i have laying around :)
LES STEALTHY BROS mrinvisible187 he's really a great guy, currently he's raging so damn much with playing battlefield on the ps4 O_o and i intend on fixing that quite soon, building the rig for him and shipping it out to him, OR i might ship the parts to him and guide him thru the build while he livestreams it :)
Unless you have supports (brackets or filler foam) don't ship it with the gpu installed, either find somewhere to secure it or ship it separately. Otherwise pretty much everything else should be good to go. I'll give him a follow, always happy to support a fellow veteran.
I saved money most of 2016 to build myself a new PC. By end of september, when I had enough, I built it, benchmarked it. Only to decide, screw it, this computer rocks, i'm going to give it to my best and childhood friend. He using a HP pavillon notebook that lagged when opening firefox. Now he has a better computer than mine. But his happiness when receiving it was priceless. I'm still running my old 3750k and 660Ti but now at least he can join me on battlefield and crysis. The hours playing together are well worth it.
Wow. Epic build video, with an honest, sincere and just amazing gift. Jay, you are one hell of an awesome dude. We need more Jay's in this world... Okay maybe not because of all the terrible, yet hilarious jokes ;)
Ive been around since around 50ish thousand subscribers and commented maybe around twice. I really love the way Jay has been going and after seeing his last video and tech talk, I realize that people like me don't speak. So here I am @JayzTwoCents, even if you don't see this, I appreciate the years of entertainment you have brought to me. Thanks
There is nothing better then the feeling of doing something nice for some one that is always helping out others and not them selves. He sounds like the kind of person that would never ask for help even when he needs it yet would be the first to jump in and help some one else in need. Good on you Jay for giving back.
you must be the nicest person ever. only a good friend does that, he has obvioulsy had a tough life but he kept going and turned the bad into good. i wish i had a friend like him
Jay, youre one of the main contributors to my passion for hardware. youre an inspiring dude. Thank you sincerely for you, your channel, and your content.
Knowing the background and telling the story, almost wanted to make me cry. What a person. You have an amazing friend thats worth a life time. So difficult to find those type of people these days. Huge props to you Jay keep up the amazing work
Jay, your friend sounds like a saint. I helped my little cousin from not becoming a ward of the state again and it has enlightened me so much and I can't stand how they get written off as "troubled" children. I cried a bit when I heard your friends cause to help, in a sense, forgotten youth. Awesome of you to do this for him. Your the man!
I know why because he built a pretty bad computer compared to all his other PCs and this man created his channel I think that man deserves the best not some skimmy pc
There are so few people who are so humble and kind and who give back to everyone so selflessly without expecting anything back. You're truly a kind hearted and amazing human being Jay. Thank you for everything that you do. Stay awesome man sending my love from Australia.
First time on your channel, very moved by what you did. you are obviously a really good man to give back to people and to tell others to do it too ;) keep it up man
Jay i know that you will probably not read this message as its one of thousands. Please keep the videos coming, you do an amazing job and its clear that your videos show the real you. You do care about other people which is missing from a large number of content creators at the moment. Good work mate and i look forward to watching many more!
well i think it's automatically enabled unless you have a rooted phone, with adaway or something..but most likely, you're good..just be sure to like this mans videos...he deserves it..
Guys like him and guys like you are true friends and heroes. Many of us have a lot to learn from this kind of thing, I for one have only realized in the last few years how much more it means to give to those deserving and in need instead of taking all the time for ourselves. You Jay are a gentleman and a quality human being -- everyone should be working to understand this mindset, if more of us practiced it we would all have better more meaningful lives.
The ending bit actually brought tears to my eye. Jay, you are actually one of the best people i've ever seen in my entire life. Not only did you inspire me to become obsessed with computers, but you are such a selfless and honest guy. We need more people like you
What a really good thing to do for a friend, your friend seems like a really nice guy and I wish him well. It's good to see people being kind to each other in this time of great uncertainty, the world always needs more kindness and less hate.
I think everyone does....I'd love for someone to just give me a computer like that....until that point I'm going to keep planning on building a cheap one once I finally am able to start working again >_>
Hombre viste sus sonrisas! no solo tu amigo se alegró sino toda la familia!!! que gran detalle amigo, esas caras valen más que 10 millones de dolares! Traductor: Man saw their smiles! not only your friend but glad the whole family !!! big detail dude, those faces are worth more than 10 million dollars!
Hi Jay - The best gift you gave him wasn't the computer, it was your genuine compliments. He seems like really good and humble guy. Those type of people are both rare and treasured.
Broadside Hi I know Wat you mean, I have ulcerative colitis I had the bowl removed had for nearly 30 years, it worked for 15 years but had complications ever since, blockages, which pain is only helped by morphine, a blockages can lasts for sometimes days, and now I have a massive hermia which has it own complications, it bleeds now and then I nearly blead to death four months ago I jast got to the hospital in time they give me three pints of blond, so no I would not wish this on anybody, and crohns is even worse, so I hope you have as manny good days throughout your illness pain free and life treats you well Take care.
try having ehlers danlos syndrome.. not saying anything bad, but look it up. I know someone with crohns who lives a perfectly normal life, just needs to be a bit careful.
Fantastic work Jay. I myself also suffer Crohn's disease and while yes it's not fun I put on my brave face and keep going with life :D Well done once again.
I been watching your videos quite a lot lately but due laziness never subscribed until now. Sir, you have my utmost respect and i hope there be more people like you because i very well understand the deep, unconditional love for pc building and owning one but hardly been able to ever put a proper build and with your friend going through all that, which one hardly be able to relate to,your gift is a boon. He seems like a great, jolly fellow and i pray that their problems are resolved soon and their school gets to function successfully. Great cause.
8 moths ago i decided to change my old AMD system for a new Intel 6700k i7 system with all new stuff, the plan was to sell my AMD so i could buy better specs, but then my friend who was a ps3 lover decided that he wanted to try PC gaming but financial he couldn't. than i thought lets give him my AMD. his reaction was priceless and i will do it all over again just to see his face when i gave him the system. its just great to see someone so happy with something i don't use anymore. and i have now a new gaming buddy :P double win win. and over the 8 month i still got the specs i wanted and even better thanks to the new gtx 1000 series.
I grabbed a EVGA 1080 SC a couple months back. Made plans before I even got it to give my 970 to a friend who was using a 760. Anytime I upgrade anything, I always make sure a friend couldn't use it before even considering selling. I still have a 1TB hdd, 8GB DDR4, Razer mamba tourn. ed., and Razer blackwidow chroma to deliver to my other friend lmao. A rising tide raises all boats and I consider it an imperative to give if able, rather than profit.
I love completely unexpected gifts. Well done. Just wondering, how long does it take from getting the PC to post, to having Windows 10 configured and ready to go. Do you have some standard techniques to have that go smoothly?
+Aaron Kahn well in this case I imaged his old PC on to the new HD so it was pretty simple and painless. Otherwise it could be a couple hours before it's done loading software
In regards to standard techniques, having windows 10 on a USB is good. Microsoft has a program on their site which allows you to create bootable win 10 installation USB's or cd's. It's also useful to have the motherboard and graphics drivers already on a USB too, as some motherboards can't connect to LAN straight away without LAN drivers. So let's say you have all that ready, then configuring windows usually takes around an hour. Those are the basics though, it could differ if you have additional hardware which requires more drivers and then obviously downloading your preferred programs will add time.
TheCookieMuncher96 Thank you. I guess I also wanted to know techniques used to install all software from the old machine, not just the OS. I always end up spending a whole day doing fresh installs and reconfiguring things.
I personally use a piece of software called Acronis True Image. You can use it to make a bootable USB which allows you to clone drives, make backups and format drives. So if you wanted to, you could take a backup of a fresh install onto an external hdd. Then when you install windows from that it would take no more than 10 minutes, provided you use USB3. You could also take another backup once you have all your drivers set up. With an old machine, you can also take a backup of that with Acronis and image the new one and pick up where you left off.
Wow... you guys really surprised me with this one. So much support! This man is doing an amazing thing for kids who otherwise are not given a chance to succeed. The least I could do is make his a little bit better. He truly appreciates all of your awesome comments. Thank you!
JayzTwoCents you're fucking amazing Jay this is some serious karma and I loved it.

Here you got a bump. That's a fantastic idea

Better than a give away. Showing people that they matter to you and value their part in who you are or have become is an important part of life, I think too many people fail to make time for. Ty for sharing that moment with us.
This video needs to go viral right now.
QUICKLY! START REFRESHING!
i'm so sad, because this thing will never happen to me
I wish I could hit that like button 100 times. You did a great thing Jay.
I feel like making 300 accounts just to like it more.
I'm doing the same thing for an out of work father of three navy vet who streams on twitch using a god awful stock 8320 / 750ti, giving him a 6600k, 16 gigs ddr4, 480 gig ssd, nzxt elite and an r9 390 i have laying around :)

TheBrhyno yeah that's the plan, i'll basically install the motherboard/cpu/hdd/ram/psu and separately ship the cpu cooler / gpu :)
LastPanth3r *i have laying around* you're people huh?
Gotta love Jay for what he does!
I saved money most of 2016 to build myself a new PC. By end of september, when I had enough, I built it, benchmarked it. Only to decide, screw it, this computer rocks, i'm going to give it to my best and childhood friend. He using a HP pavillon notebook that lagged when opening firefox.

The price of the SSD would be enough for me to build my ultimate system. Holy crap, you are giving quite some money away as a present.
Kareleos - Glorious PC Master Race
I know, i follow the channel for quite some time
There is nothing better then the feeling of doing something nice for some one that is always helping out others and not them selves. What a nice guy he is.
And his wife to.
What we expected from TechSource's brother............
He had a stone heart ;-;
Daze ikr, his reaction was just: 'man this is solid'
Daze tech source said in the description that his brother is super shy, so it's understandable
Tbh he probably only was not happy cos he had just taken a shit and was grumpy. Re watch that video u will see.
Yea I was like how ungrateful
jay is the nicest man ever, i would cry if someone spent the time, effort and money to build me a amazing pc like that.
Knowing the background and telling the story, almost wanted to make me cry. What a person. You have an amazing friend thats worth a life time. So difficult to find those type of people these days. Huge props to you Jay keep up the amazing work
Your friends story made me cry
I mean,he is like me,I do everything for my mates, and ask for nothing in return!

Harry Parker ikr
Harry Parker Terabyte

IKR
I believe he meant 1TB
I noticed that too.
How Jay has haters after this is completely beyond me.
I know why because he built a pretty bad computer compared to all his other PCs and this man created his channel I think that man deserves the best not some skimmy pc
@@youtubebotluke3000 This is not a "skimmy" pc, it's a pretty decent build, especially for 3 years ago.
way better reaction than ed from tec sources brother's reaction
baguette baguette never forget fuck😂😂
There are so few people who are so humble and kind and who give back to everyone so selflessly without expecting anything back. You're truly a kind hearted and amazing human being Jay. Thank you for everything that you do. Stay awesome man sending my love from Australia.
We need more people like these guys this made my day
You get as much as you give. Top lad.
First time on your channel, very moved by what you did.
you are obviously a really good man to give back to people and to tell others to do it too ;) keep it up man
The way you wear your heart on your sleeve is incredibly refreshing. Easily one of my favorite tech channels.
Damn it dude, you made me cry.
Jay i know that you will probably not read this message as its one of thousands. Please keep the videos coming, you do an amazing job and its clear that your videos show the real you.

AwesomeAQ8013 jup lol idk why I said that. However, if you want to correct someone do it right... 1TB is actually 1024 gb.😜
I caught that too, so funny.
It's a 960gb SSD
That was big, one day long ago. Not many of us are old enough to remember.

"what is this garbage"
"how much all Of this cost" that one makes me rage

Awesome upload Jay. You're a good guy
The ending bit actually brought tears to my eye. Jay, you are actually one of the best people i've ever seen in my entire life. Not only did you inspire me to become obsessed with computers, but you are such a selfless and honest guy. We need more people like you

Saaaame I love the reaction people have when they get a great gift.
Bread Box ik
yeah what really made it was that you could tell it was genuine af too... and he looks like a really nice dude
As of this writing, 87 people downvoted this video. There is nothing objectively wrong with this video. Where do these people come from?
You gave him a 1TB SSD? I don't even have a 1TB HDD lol Dang man. Good job :)
no... they REALLY are not dead at all. they're dead for rich people that are into computers but not for the average consumer
Callyn Winstead not really if your in a budget for your next pc your not gonna get an ssd, your gonna get an hdd
Dagoth Ur
He gave him a 1TB SSD calling it a 1GB SSD ... incredible understatement, that's how we know him =)
Callyn Winstead until ssd' are more affordable hdd's are far from "dead tech"
If it still works and for nearly everyone, is sufficient, its not dead tech.
What a really good thing to do for a friend, your friend seems like a really nice guy and I wish him well. It's good to see people being kind to each other in this time of great uncertainty, the world always needs more kindness and less hate.
11:09 1GB SSD HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAAA NICE BRO
U know Jay - he always gets tong tangled :D That only shows that hes imperfect like we all are :)
If you need to ask that question then you don't belong here!
Me, fitted on my M.2 SSD : Adobe Lightroom/Office/Steam, small library/ORIGIN/WIndows Store Games/Guild Wars 2, currently 179gb free out of 931gb.
I wish i had a friend like that.
I think everyone does....I'd love for someone to just give me a computer like that....until that point I'm going to keep planning on building a cheap one once I finally am able to start working again >_>
Sometimes you have to be 'that' friend.

Huge props again Jay. Watched this a couple of times and big smiles on the reveal to your friend.
You mean may scientists find a cure. You are so ungrateful for the people that made us what we are today.
kristian svendsen fucking dip-shit
That's what friends are for. Really happy you could do this for him.
Damn how I wish I have a room at home to go into and then just stare at all the parts I have in stock like this.
TheOfficialNar wouldn't we all?
Well he puts them to goddamn good use, i say, so no loss there(but me too).
qwormuli
Well if I had some parts lying around like him, I'd put them to good use too and give some away to close friends and family.
Doesn't he give out stuff that he doesn't use or done with? Like prizes and such.
Edit - On top of giving to friends I mean
Blue

I been watching your videos quite a lot lately but due laziness never subscribed until now.
Sir, you have my utmost respect and i hope there be more people like you because i very well understand the deep, unconditional love for pc building and owning one but hardly been able to ever put a proper build and with your friend going through all that, which one hardly be able to relate to,your gift is a boon.
He seems like a great, jolly fellow and i pray that their problems are resolved soon and their school gets to function successfully.
Great cause.
A 1gb ssd lol anybody else catch that? :P
It's enough for vintage porn movies.
Lego Farmer i caught that XD
This video cured my depression.

Jay the type of guy to water-cool his floppy drive.
man you are a good guy. not many people would use money or products they have to help someone else. i hope you get all you deserve and more in life.
A rising tide raises all boats and I consider it an imperative to give if able, rather than profit.
that opening ad before the main portion of the video lol gerth
Lol now that's a really cool way to show an add
You are a great person and a great friend for not only being able to do this, but for actually doing it.
JayzTwoCents ha, pun :D
Has a wife that games luckiest guy in the world
again...You're an epic guy.
You sir are an awesome friend to that guy. That is an amazing thing you did and I'm sure he'll never forget it
