My dear friend Morgan had this guitar and I learned to play on it. He was moving back to Kansas and his car caught on fire burning all his earthly possessions including his Hummingbird. Fast forward 37 years. Morgan has passed away. I walked into Guitar Center with my Grandson and they put this guitar on the floor. The guy didn't even get it into the cradle. I bought it as soon as I saw it. Such memories it brings back. I also lost a very good friend today. I think Alex and God made this possible? As a proud owner of a 2019 Hummingbird (cherry finish) I really appreciate what Michael does with that guitar. Even with super great speakers on you computer, the sound, when its in your hands, or an artist's hands like Michael, is so good you never want to put it down. Acoustic or amplified it's a sweet instrument. In my experience the sound will only improve. If it's played daily, in six months time it will have more depth and a richer and warmer tone and continue to improve.
That is one beautiful instrument, both in sound and in looks. My dream guitar is a Hummingbird in any color. One day, I will own one. Thanks for the wonderful video.

There were always guitars around the house growing up. Heck, i got two for Christmas ! On a positive note, saw The Scene Gibson vid with Mark and Norm. ha, Norm even dressed up :) Glad Gibson's 'in the house' again !

Happy with my 2020 new gibson also. It also has a pickup. Struck out for my first acoustic. Nice work by the Chord master, and at least with the lockdown we can focus on our playing for awhile.

The best part of this electro-acoustic is the beautifully mellowed (aged ?) mahogany that has been used; a lovely lemony tone. The guitar sounds phenomenal, more like an eagle, not a colibri... Todd, I lost my father a long time ago, but can truely relate to the sadness that now must be in your life. "My condolences" sounds kinda hollow, so I feel for you, mate, and keep you & your family in my thoughts.
I wish people would realise we definitely WILL have to face viruses again...and again...and again...the answer lies in how our species deals with it together as as a species. Viruses are a fact of life, as are vaccines and scientists. We just gotta stop hating one another and proceed forward with love. I believe music has a key part to play in this. Peace and love guys. That sounded great. The cynic in me thinks Mark is sending Normans some sweetheart guitars. I’ve got 2014 J35 Collection that is a monster of a guitar. That sound Lemmo got out of it reminded me of M Ward latest lp release- he gets a wicked sound out of Gibson, some reverb and a smokey vocal, maybe an old echoplex. Check out his newest record ‘Migration Stories’ -beautiful performances and brilliant Gibson sounds. It’s great community you are shepherding -thank you Norm and crew. This is happening everywhere-I was sick as a dog for 10 days with last Saturday being the worst, -love, some TLC and an old guitar got me through. I found melodies I had never played and it comforted me like few sessions ever have.
Im really happy with the new lines of guitars from Gibson since the new management, the original series with 61' aesthetics as seen here on the hummingbird and the 50s and 60s standard les Pauls !

Outstanding playing. Got my eye on this guitar to compliment my HD 28in Ambertone. Only been playing for couple of years but addicted to learning. I have small hands so not the flexibility or knowledge of your chords. Is it a good strumming guitar? My style of music is UK.
