The base looks eerily similar to an Eljer base like a long lost cousin. Nice wide thick rim. My cousins in the previous generation had three of these in different colors in their home in the late 1950's. They sure were good looking compared to all the forward trappers prevalent in homes back then. It was a very expensive novelty in a high class suburb.
I would love to find a toilet with a curved seat like that. Crane made some of them as well. It was intended to kind of cradle your behind and improve posture for eliminating.
It flushes just like a Master One Piece. If I may urge you, please leave the seat intact if it's not in the way. I have used a Dremel and small cut off wheel to slice steel nuts carefully without cutting the brass bolts inside. Even if you just slice them in one spot, the nut should break loose when you turn it with some vise grips. That's how I saved the original seats on my Crane Mauretania toilets.
This is a very good toilet - the performance is pretty good and the bowl rinse/bowl clearance is almost perfect! The only thing I don't like is the 'Non-Standard' seat which has to be specially ordered (the same is true for those rather horrid square bowl washdown Chinese Made toilets for the EU/UK markets - but those also perform horribly so they are considered "Trash"). Still a damn good toilet for a One Piece!!!
Is it/(that toilet🚽) a 1964 American 🇺🇸 Standard Carlyle toilet, or is it/(that toilet🚽) a 1965 American 🇺🇸 Standard Carlyle toilet?🚽 I am just asking you if it/(that toilet🚽) is a 1964 American 🇺🇸 Standard Carlyle toilet, or if it/(that toilet🚽) is a 1965 American 🇺🇸 Standard Carlyle toilet🚽; because you had said that it (that toilet🚽) was a 1964 American 🇺🇸 Standard Carlyle toilet 🚽 at the beginning of the video; but then, on the description title of/for the video, it has that it (that toilet🚽) is a 1965 America 🇺🇸 Standard Carlyle toilet.🚽 I really DO NOT mean to sound rude or anything, by the way.😢😪😭
@@ILVT_Plumbing, Oh, yes!🙌👍👏 Lol!😜🤪😂 Yes, I know that I could have just asked it like,👍: “Is it from 1964 or 1965?”, but I just chose to do it the longer way! Lol!😜🤪😂 Thank you, anyway!☺️🙏😊 Now, I know that sometimes, I AM NOT very short and to the point; but I guess it DOES NOT really offend, have any affect on anyone else, or have any impact on anyone else (except for me [myself], that is)! I like your dual-ended approach for testing the bowl rinse and bowl clearance simultaneously.
I had to come up with something

Awesome that they had all these in different colors. That must have been cool to see.
I love your cat! It's similar to mine
I loved her too. She's in a better place now.
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations where is she

Did she die?
@@TKCF2014thepinkfongfan I’m pretty sure by the way he said “loved” and “she’s in a better place now.”
When I went to a resort I went to the room and saw 2 rooms with these and it flushed fast and better
It probably had a higher water level

They're very cool. American Standard made another one called the Neo-Health and it was basically a Compact with a curved seat
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations Ah yes that is a rare toilet. That one also had a built in bidet! The Luxor also uses the same seat as the Carlyle.

I don't think I took the seat off but BTR has it now.

I hate custom seats
it just LOOKS like an expensive toilet you'd find in a fancy house.
Yeah! An old mansion
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations Modern smart toilets just don't look expensive or premium.
this toilet is 16 years older than my dad
Cool!
Flush rating is an A
performance rating is a B+
This toilet is amazing
10:12 Looks like that jet is clogged, probably just needs the coat hanger treatment.
Possibly
It flushes like a Lexington
I believe the Lexington is just a modernized version of this
That is my request
Can you do a karat on a test
If I can find one
Did it overflow
Yep, on the dish towel
With this one I have thumbs to the sides.
Good toilet.
Agreed
First one!
Nice
