Wow, major feels in less than 10 minutes. That's gotta be some kind of record.
Please make a playthrough of this. It was just beautiful
I agree
Erin Lewis Its not a bad idea. Especially considering is a very short game. He probably could finish it in 6 to 8 parts.
Rena Chu Depends if he goes for all the secrets... Because, we all know Jesse is the master of finding all the secrets in the shortest amount of time.
That stitch looking creature is more like a child of light than the child of light in child of light XD
There are two kinds of people in this world: Those who think Naru looks like Baymax from Big Hero 6, and those who think she looks like No Face from Spirited Away.
This game is way too Ghibli for it to be anything but No Face.
and those who think she looks like snorlax XD
I sure tought about No Face when I saw Naru. I was also thinking about Princess Mononoke (the movie) with that intro.
I see totoro and no face.
HammerOfDan Than that makes Ori one of those tree children from Princess Mononoke. XD
Well I know the first thing I'm getting with this next paycheck. This looks amazing.
Damn it looks like a Disneymovie :)
Marcus Alm Looks and plays exactly like Child of Light. It's not a bad thing though.
Jarwycorr Child of Light was an amaxzing game. One of the few Let's Plays Jessie did that I watched, played the game and then rewatched it.
Jarwycorr It seems to have the same feel to it, but I don't know, haven't played any of them.
Although I think this looks better. Child of Light was pretty, but I prefer this art-style over the watercolors.
Marcus Alm Different art style, for sure, and OatBF doesn't have a tactical combat phase, but very similar gameplay otherwise.
Feels more like Ghibli to me.
I can't wait for Jesse to finally fucking finish Far Cry and Dragon Age. They dragged on for far too long.
On a different note, this game looks gorgeous!
Yeah then he can finally play...ummm...Mortal Kombat? Is there even anything new worth playing?
Hotline Miami 2 would be interesting (although Jesse would never finish it, cause that game is mean). Or maybe something else, like Cities Skylines.
Skel Neldory he could try assassin's creed or something like it, if, by the time he finishes the series, they patch it up.
Skel Neldory Bloodborne has potentiality
Gat out of Hell for sure
I am not ashamed to say a few tears were shed during that intro. It had me sold on the game.
Wow...I don't think I've ever been so invested in game characters after just 8 minutes. I was really touched by the opening of this one...
I would love a playthrough of this, Jessie...This really is one of the most beautiful games I've ever seen.
I was sold after that intro. I know that this'll be some of the best 20 bucks I'll ever spend on a game. Thank you so much for showing this one to us, I'm so excited to get through the rest of it. Also, I can't say no to a game with a beautiful soundtrack and amazing art direction like this.
I'm getting some Studio Ghibli vibes from this. Specifically Princess Mononoke.
This is such a beautiful game in so many ways. Jesse, I would love to see you do a full playthrough and I wanted to say thank you for showing us such wonderful games. I cannot wait till I can pick this one up for myself.
Thank you Jesse for mentioning this game on the Co-optional Podcast. Ori and The Blind Forest is the best game I have played this year. Screw AAA games with all their fancy engines and lighting effects and reload animations, this game is pure beauty.
If Hayao Miyazaki dreamed of a game this is what would have been created. The art style, gameplay, general feel of the game...I love it all. Fantastic effort by all concerned.
Amazing looking game. The mechanics seem interesting, and the art and story are sublime. The introduction feels were real, well done getting the player invested in the story and game right from the get-go.
The animation is out of this world! Amazing.
Oh boy, those first 10 minutes of that game. It's UP all over again.
And damn it is a gorgeous game. Really hope you keep playing it Jesse.
And Mother 3. The manly feel tears flow strong on this day.
I'm 9 minutes in and already on a feels trip
I feel like I need to buy this for myself before I watch Jesse play it
Just wanna say Jess, thank you for Fan Fridays. I can't count how many amazing games I've been introduced to thanks to your channel.
Jesse please play this. I think you and all your subs, or at least most of them, would enjoy it.
Jesse, you should do a full play through of this game. The game looks gorgeous, and deserves a full play through.
Please finish this playthrough, I find it so much more compelling than the current playthroughs! Not to say I haven't been enjoying your stuff, but this is golden!
Niceone Jess! Someone giving this the Love it *so* deserves! :)
- I started playing 2 days past expecting a decent, pretty platformer but - _HOLY GUACAMOLE!!_ What a _GREAT_ Game!!
- it constantly blew all my expectations out of the water over and over again!
One of the best, most charming gaming experiences I've had in ages; it's one of those too rare games that remind you *why* you Game in the first place! :D
Minute by minite this is my *game of the year* easy, beautiful world exploration, great skills, a Full-of-Heart well crafted story, and platforming play feels Sooo Goood!
"Far Cry and Dragon Age have dragged on too long QQ whine!!" Uh... because they're LONG GAMES to begin with? What a coincidence?
I like Jesse doing Fan Fridays, and Greenlights, even if he won't do playthroughs of the games themselves. They give me things to add to my own Steam wishlist for the future.
Far Cry 4 isn't long at all..
Well maybe FC4 isn't but DAI is something that could literally take him years, if he does more than just the main story (I doubt he would but if he reaaaaally wants to milk it...)
God forbid..
FC4 is like, 30 hours if you take your time and pick flowers, going off and doing a bunch of random shit and dilly-dallying all the time. You can easily beat the game only doing story missions in 10 hours.
Agreed. Dont know why people have to QQ everywhere. Back in the day we still had 15-20 min episodes of boring games, and NO shows like Fan Friday, Greenlight, SGS etc. Now he has all these things going on, and people are like "booo this sucks"....
Oh poor Ori, the little guy had me teary-eyed at 8:30. Damn you Jesse, damn you for playing a game that looks so fantastic, has some great characters already, and which nearly made me cry. Gonna watch the whole of this here video :D
That intro sequence is the feelsiest thing I've seen in a long time. That was more emotional than the first ten minutes of Up.
When I saw Day9 play this, that intro brought me to tears. Watching Jesse play it again, I was a damn blubbering mess knowing what was going to happen. This is an absolutely beautiful game.
You definitely need to finish this game, Jesse. I'd love to watch you play the rest of this.
That's the most beautiful game Ive ever seen!
Wish you could have more Fan Fridays
I know these types of games are not really popular let's plays, I would really love to see Jesse play this. And I know he enjoys playing them.
I wanted to thank you for this glimpse of this beautiful game I got right after this fan Friday
This will mean both bad and good things. But currently the only thing making me come back to one of my old favorite youtubers is fan friday...past few months the same games from him have bored me but his fan fridays remain awesome! I know his current videos of farcry and dragon age will fade away and different games will appear but until then I sadly really only watch his fan fridays...love ya Jesse and I look forward to your future videos!
This game looks amazing! Going straight on my wishlist! So beautiful! Seriously though Jesse, we need a playthrough of this!!!!
What an absolutely gorgeous game. I'll definitely buy it. Jesse you must do a full "let's play"! Your kingdom demands it!
You were right Jesse this is an amazing looking game. It looks like a lot of time and effort was spent on this game and not rushed like a lot of games today.
Ori is a serious GOTY contender, I couldn't put it down when I got it, and played through to 100% completion in about a week. Simply beautiful, amazing soundtrack, great design that keeps it fresh throughout and a perfect level of difficulty.
I wanna support you Jesse. But I'm not even half way through the video and wanna buy and play this game myself. Thanks for playing some of it so I could check it out!
You have to finish this. I want to see your reactions!
Hallowed are the Ori...
We will spread Origin to all the unbelievers!
Haha that was my first thought
funny how that is how science views religion but at the same time forces their beliefs to be accepted as a religious teaching..
science is their God, the world is their God, they follow a worldly wisdom as opposed to a spiritual one.
ShotgunVsHeart Don't do this man, I don't want a flame war :(
Those who reject the path to enlightenment must be destroyed.
I got the game today, and I can safely say the videos don't make it justice. The game looks amazing!
I am in the last "dungeon" now. I dont want this game to end. :( Its sooo nicely done. Graphics, the mucis ... just wow!
Now this is a f***ing Intro! Dust: an Elysian tale all over again. Totally would watch a series of this
I watched roughly two minutes of gameplay before I purchased it myself. Wonderful little gem, this game.
I just finished this game. It was great. My favorite this Gen so far. Moon Studios nailed it. Looking forward to see what they do next.
This game was basically my "Brothers". While in Brothers I felt no connection to the characters at all, this game made me feel for them within the first 10 minutes, so it's great to finally experience what so many people were prattling on about last year :D
Best game of this year so far, right next to Dankest Dungeon!
It's a shame that Jesse probably won't do a full play though because of fucking Dragon Age and Farcry. I don't care if those games are AAA this game is far more entertaining to look at.
It's a Fan Friday. He never plays an entire game for this. It's just a play the game the fans suggested. He just chose this one.
TheRoninGamer Sorry for commenting late, but thats untrue. Remember shovel knight?
TheRoninGamer Book of Unwritten Tales 2?
I watched the E3 trailer for this and i am watching this as i am writing this, and this is definetly same level of beautifull design, compelling story, absolutely beautifull music than Valiant Hearts with which you have done a series.
I implore you Jesse, please try and make room in your schedule to make this into a full play through
Great looking game and music. Got it right away on steam. Thanks jesse for sharing this game!
Wow. for the amount it is. and seeing how long that took and there is still SO much left to do and how the look is so colorful and just. wow. the art is amazing. when I have the money I'm buying this game and I will love it forever ;A;
Hey Jesse, if you enjoy this game there is another of my favorite games called Dust: An Elysian Tale. These story's are some of the best I've seen in gaming, and the environments do nothing but captivate you.
My god we need more of this first I was like "wow 45min thats a long video" but those 45minutes flew by, very interesting game indeed.
I realized this game was really fucking cool when I escaped from the Ginso Tree (first "dungeon"). It was the perfect combination of tight, challenging gameplay, beautiful visuals, and incredible music. I would really love a full playthrough of this game.
I could watch you play this for days.
MAKE THIS A SERIES!!! THE FANS DEMAND IT!!!
Man, the artists of this game are superb. They must've done a lot of different research on foliage and trees. Not to mention lighting and shadows. Fabulous game. Amazing game.
I LOVE this game so far! Unfortunately I'm one of the people with the water glitch (where you can't jump out of water). I'm only 33% done so I can't wait for a patch so I can continue with this AMAZING game. Beautiful art, beautiful music, and spot on controls with fun mechanics.
haven't seen game this damn breathtakingly beautiful since i first saw okami back in the yonder years of ps2
Wow, I almost want this game immediately.
Edit: I haven't seen a game this good in awhile, well done to whoever created the game.
That's properly gorgeous. I've never even heard about this game before, now I want it.
Make this a series now!! Such an amazing game
NOT EVEN 10 MINUTES IN AND IT WAS THE MOST INTENSE FEELS I'VE EVER FELT FOR A NON-SPEAKING CHARACTER SINCE AGRO.
Jesseeeee please do a LP of this game! I love it so far and your commentary of it just makes it better :D
I had to stop midway because I didn't want to spoil myself. Love it, I need it.
Absolutely stunning artwork.
Fuck me.
I was sold at 3 minutes in.
30 seconds later I teared up a little cause it's just so endearing.
2 minutes later I had goosebumps and my hairs were standing up, cause fuuuck, it's just all so beautiful.
Around 7 minutes in I tried really hard not to cry like a little girl
8:27, I am a mess and tears and snot is everywhere.
What do you mean, this video is 45 minutes long?!
How am I supposed to live through this!?
I bought this game and started to play it. And then suddenly 4 hours have passed without me noticing.. Its such an awesome game i simply love it
You should do a full play of this. It's only like 5-7 hours long.
Usually I dislike beautiful games, even with commentary. But right now I could really go for a beautiful game for a good 45 minutes.
Thank you Jesse.
U weird
MrPicklesAndTea Why specifically dislike "beautiful games"
oisin mcnamara I don't appreciate the beauty enough to justify the gameplay or story that somehow always seem lacking in my personal taste. However sometimes it's nice just to enjoy how beautiful a game is, just not most of the time.
That's the best part about this game, it's very pretty, very artistic but the platforming is very solid and makes for an awesome game as well. It is a great game in almost every respect (few bugs and my music nerd cried out at some of the music transitions but that's a personal gripe caused by years of music theory and playing)
Jesse please please do a playthrough of this game as the feels are real.
This game looks so cool
I definitely want to play it on my channel
You have no sense of shame...
must...hold...back...manly...tears...
it feels like something old disney would make into a movie
I went 10 minutes into this video before turning it off. Not because it was bad, but because I want to experience this game for myself. It looks beautiful. So... installing.
What a beautiful game. I was wondering why I saw so many streamer on twitch play this all of a sudden. Must get.
wow first 10 minutes i already got massive feels for this game
the opening had such a strong Studio Ghibli vibe, just for that vibe I want that game
I'm looking forward for you to do the let's play of this game! Great video :)
Pause, buying it, playing it, then coming back to watch this;)
I can't remember the last time I heard an instrumental soundtrack this pretty.
This is one of the best games i ever played, I LOVE IT
Damn. Nine minutes in and my eyes are already leaking. Bravo game, well played.
Played about five hours of this game and gave up because I'm horrible at these platformy kinda games. Watching this makes me feel much better.
Ori, if indeed it is a being if light as you described around 12:00 - is likely taken from the Hebrew name Ori which translates into 'my light', and is almost always t a male given name (because 'or' = 'light' in Hebrew and 'or' is in male form).
This game... i actually teared up a few times and i consider myself a heartless empty person.
it had me in tears in the first 10 minuets SO MANY FEELLLLLS!!
(also the 4th game to make me cry)
This game was beyond amazing, i haven't been this satisfied with a game in who knows how long.
Kind of would like to see a play through of this. Sort of gives me the child of light vibe from the way you played this.
10 mins in.
Me: "Why am I inside an onion? Who let the feels in here"
I'm getting such a "Dark Crystal" vibe from this game. Looks great!
Although I understand your decision of not doing the playthrough, Jesse, I really want to see you escape from the Ginso Tree.
This game reminds me of the old days playing Metroid, Castlevania and Rockman games, without looking anything like any of those.
Not gonna lie, I got maybe a minute into the video and when I saw the beginning of that first cutscene...that music. I fully intent to play this game now, and I can't watch this video. thanks for reminding me about it though, Jesse!!
my heart broke in 8 minutes, a new record
ahhh! Yay, I really wanted to suggest this for a play xD But it happened anway. I'm really glad C:
The music and graphics are so pretty!
Damn it, Jesse. I didn't want to cry today!
Put me in the camp of hoping for a full playthrough of this one.....in fact been hoping for this one from you since the trailer hit.
PS buying it whether you do or not, just love seeing you play games like this.
I'd buy this game just to listen to the soundtrack alone. Breathtaking.
It's a shame you never did a playthrough of this, would have been fun to watch.
I love beautiful platforms, Trine and this one make me so happy to engage
this game is so gorgeous wow thanks for doing this jesse :)
if you havent watched the video yet skip to 11:36 and start watching from there, that opening is something you shouldnt spoil for yourself, Jesse should have edited that out...
