- Today I taste the Johnnie Walker 18 year old blended Scotch whisky. I'm sure many of you have seen and tastes this dram but let's see if this really is a premium blend.

My fav in the JW cabinet here are the 18, then the Green! Not overpriced at all for a Green and Gold label mark. 🥃
Green is definitely a solid dram!
I occasionally have the JW Green but I haven’t had this particular expression. The price is creeping up for the Green at $105 Canadian before taxes and I haven’t seen this one that you are featuring. I looked it up and if I could get it the price is in the range of a decent Islay peated scotch, single malt, so I’d like choose that over this HE blend. I try not to be biased against blended malts. I admit I prefer single malts. For me the HW Blue is grossly overrated and overpriced at $370 Canadian before taxes - insane! I always love learning and I always do with your channel! Always so enjoyable! Hey I have to try Cardu! What’s it like? I tend to stick to the more heavily peated beauties! Cheers!
Oh Christine if it's near the price of an Islay dram than it's not even a question! In my market JW products are quite cheap, apart from the Blue Label, and it does make sense every now and again to go for a higher age blend. I do like the Green Label as a blended malt and gain I get it quite cheap but I would go for any Compass Box rather than the Green if the price is similar.
If you like your heavily peated malts than Cardhu is not for you :) I think it's way too light and sweet, I'm not a fan but if you want an unpeated hefty dram I might suggest Craigallachie 13, Glengarrioch 12, and try Glenturret 10 peated, you might enjoy these.

This edition jw green is the best. the 19 would be my next best in this line.
I can't imagine myself hating this release) I'm not above having some Red Label poured neat, and Black Label is a whisky I genuinely enjoy. The 18 YO version I'm fairly sure would be pretty much impossible to find in my country (Russia)
I do enjoy the Black Label as well. This one is less smoky but a very well rounded dram. Hope you can try one day
If you can get the Green Label it will be the most enjoyable to drink neat, 18 is next up but double the price
Anlatımınız için teşekkürler. Son zamlardan sonra fiyatı oransal olarak en fazla artan viskilerden biri oldu maalesef (5 Temmuz 2024 itibariyle 2150 liradan 2850 oldu). İlginçtir Glenfiddich markası ise hiç zam almadı. Blue Label mesela 7500’den 8500 oldu. Bu zamlar neye göre belirleniyor açıkçası merak ediyorum. Video için tekrar teşekkürler 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Bu zam işini hiç anlamadım, anlamayacağım. Ya hepsi aynı oranda artar, ya da Birleşik Krallığın yaptığı gibi alkol oranı yükseldikçe artar. Maalesef Türkiye'de iyi viski içmek iyice zorlaştı. İzlediğiniz için teşekkür ederim, güzel günlere 🥃
I think something is wrong with the algorithm mate, I didn't get this video in my subs feed like I usually do (may have missed it) so I went to your channel to see if you had done any recent vids and saw it. I did see the Glenmorangie vid come up in my feed though.
I don't understand what happened either. My Glenmo video and this one aired at the same time previous week but when I checked this was one was scheduled one week after the Forest video. Anyway it is what it is :) Have you tried this one before?
