I gulped 250 ml of it and just nothing happened.. I walked straight, didn’t feel drowsy, no hangover… In normal cases, three pegs of Chevas I am hugging my pillow and into deep sleep mode… One more thing I noticed is, it’s smooth and doesn’t burn as much as normal whiskey…
I think one thing that people tend to lose sight of when they think about Blue Label is that it was not designed as a boutique whiskey to impress aficionados. It is designed to be something that impresses on the palate. It has no offensive qualities. The consistency of blue label ALWAYS impresses me. It has roughly the same palate as it has since 2013. I’ve not had one older than that. It is designed to be an impressive statement, people who claim it is overpriced miss the point of Blue label. If you’re worried about the price, this whiskey wasn’t made for you…
Overhyped and not worth $200. Not hard to find in the US and there are several better whiskies at that price point. Wonder how it would do in a blind tasting versus the Dewars 21 Double Double or Chivas Regal Royal Salute 21? I am not a fan of 40% ABV chill filtered whiskies.
I will grab and pay for a 25 year old $1000 Ardbeg any day or a much cheaper sophisticated Islay or Speyside scotch. There is so much an available that bests this whisky.
I don’t know many excellent scotch enthusiasts/experts who consider this a scotch blend worth the price. The 40% ABC is pathetic. Far too watery. Cheers.
You made it plenty clear that you don't like it, but crying about it won't convince other to agree with you. It's not for you, clearly. Buy something else and move on 🤣

Yes it’s very smooth and well balanced too.
Travelling next week to Mumbai and planning to get one from the Dubai duty free…
You should also look at picking up the Ardbeg Spectacular, a limited release only available at Mumbai duty free

One couldn’t have put it any better - we tend to over look it’s consistency and the fact that it wasn’t designed to impress aficionados

Double Double would probably win it but it’s more expensive than the Blue Label
@@thedramclub not where I live. It is half the price.

It tastes like leaded petrol.
That’s a rather extreme comparison 😁
The accent itself reduced the price by $150
Overrated and grossly overpriced.
