A simple yes or no question: Is it possible to figure out my exact location without a GMT almanac? I’m trying to teach myself how to navigate with the stars, sun and moon. I’m studying armillary sundials, sextants, trigonometry, astronomy and anything else that may seem to help. It’s just a curiosity of mine and a bit of a hobby. My end goal is to learn how to navigate with nothing but the most basic tools. I’m a very poor person from a poor family but I am addicted to knowledge that I love to pass down to my son that catches on as fast as I do. If I learn it I can teach him to open up more doors for his future. I truly and sincerely appreciate any help you can offer!
