  • Had a full day riding parts of the Welsh TET it's a bit of a challenge on my bike and I was on my own. However, it was the best day's riding I've had in a long time! Loved every minute of it

    Rocks! Hate them. A very wise decision to turn back! That looked horrible. Well done for rescuing lamb! Great video really enjoyed this :D

    I think you may have got the wrong end of the stick there mate. This guys were being helpful, you had the attitude. Good skills though and great video, I just think the fall may have affected your judgement in that situation. Take care fella :)

      Thank you for the compliment on my skills and video still working hard on both.
      It was their laugh that changed my view of them. Looking at each other and laughing with your mates in front of a rider that you know nothing about, I feel is a little condescending
      Also, I almost always get judgemental comments on the trail based on my bike before anyone knows what I am or am not capable of. So maybe I do get my back up too quickly.
      But there is a divide between the small bikes and us big bike wankers.

      There are just so so many! Not sure if my riding is worth applauding just I do tend to try things and i’m not worried about dropping it.

      @@Adv_Charlie some parts of Wales you can ride most of the day and not see a gate, is what it is, I ride alone a lot so I know the pain🤣

    10 out of 10 for trying mate 🤔 but 1 out of 10 for skills 😉
    Your ambition outweighs your talent. Funnest thing I've seen since the ABR Festival. Keep it up(right) though buddy 🤣🤣

      @@Adv_Charlie Don't get me wrong mate..Respect for getting out there.. I would be out this weekend but dislocated my thumb and fractured a rib doing the same! But you gotta laugh 🤣🤣 someone told me "It's not IF but WHEN you fall off" and that seems to be true in my limited experience!! Too many WHENS though 🤣🤣🤣

    That looked (and sounded) like really hard work. I wouldn't have had the energy to open all of those gates!
    Great skill to ride that stuff and good judgement to know when to stop.
    That bike can certainly take the knocks.

    Seriously Charlie, that did look like a lot of fun. That looked like a lot of gates.🥵
    You must have enjoyed the sealed road for a bit of respite from those tracks, you did well.

      @@Adv_Charlie and you proved more than capable. A great bit riding up what was probably a lot steeper than the camera shows. Apologies for the condescending tone of my fellow Welshmen.

  • @ogasi1798
    @ogasi1798 Год назад +1

    btw : less chance of accidental falls and less physically punishing way to mount your bike is foot on with stand down, leg over, kick stand up 🙂

    • @Adv_Charlie
      @Adv_Charlie  Год назад +1

      That’s fine until I can’t reach the stand because the ground is too low on the other side. As a short rider i have to look at the best way for that situation. Sometimes your right that is the best but others the side stand has to come up first.
      I have to tiptoe to get the side stand as it is.

    It's probably a good thing you dropped it on that first drop considering the alternative of dropping your front end into that hole, kind of like dropping it to save it, good job mate and great riding skills!

    Hi, that looked like a lot of fun. How is the Tractive Suspension holding up? How would you compare it to the WP Xplor suspension on the R version

    • @Adv_Charlie
      @Adv_Charlie  Год назад +1

      I can’t really compare it to the Xplor R suspension as my 790 “was” the S.

    • @Adv_Charlie
      @Adv_Charlie  Год назад

      I use the Maps.Me app it won't do turn by turn for the TET but you can just follow the blue line. I have the app set up to it rotates and keeps me in the centre so it's easy to follow the route.

    Hi, nice track, must come to welsh somethime, but question what shoes are you using that you are direcly walking in the water, and what small mirrow is that on the handlebar. thanks

    • @Adv_Charlie
      @Adv_Charlie  6 месяцев назад +1

      My riding boots are Alpinestar Tech 7’s Enduro that day I have Seal Skin socks on to help keep my feet dry but I’d rather have wet feet than a drowned or stuck bike.
      The little mirror is a DoubleTake Trail Mirror. Works ok, better than nothing when I fold or remove my main mirrors.
