2 Tenere 700s & 1 690 take on the Welsh TET. We got the ferry over from Ireland to take on part of the Welsh TET. Day 1 is our journey from Fishguard to Aberystwyth.
Great video. Although youve not sold me on the big adventure bikes off road 😁 braver than me. it was great to watch as i recognised some of the roads and tracks.
Cheers. The big girl is savage fun off-road. Skills have come on a long way since this video too which makes all the difference. That was an amazing trip
In deep water - use the side, where car wheels have levelled AND use outer leg along the top of the bank, basically walking it through using the clutch. Try it, you’ll be chuffed, it works. Oh, brilliant video, do more😀
Cheers. Ye I absolutely think you’d get a good bit of it done on a 1290. Some of the more difficult parts like ‘bastard lane’ might be a different story but you’d get a good bit
You choose a good time for strata as it gets up to 3 and 4 foot and deeper with a couple days of rain , strata is a local trail for me about 3 hours away from home lol
Ye I think we were a little blessed with the weather when we went. I’d love to give it another go after some rain but I’d imagine there’s a delicate balance of what’s actually passable or not haha
@@motorbikediaries it's all possible when ots rainedhard .the problem is stopping water getting in to the air box when it is deep, we've rode it lots of time and water is above front mudguards lol
@@Rust_valley_adventures Water in the air box would be no fun up there. Not sure about you but we never had any signal. T7 especially can be a huge pain to get at the plugs etc. if it got that bad. Anyway, it’s definitely still on the list 😂
No it was a Lifeproof mount. Good piece of kit and the mount itself was fine, it was the magnet on the back of my phone case that broke off unfortunately
they are amazing, until it isn't - then they are a bas7ard to keep up 🙂- momentum is the friend of the Tenere, if it has that you are 99% sweet if you can ride and balance - standing is always the best
I just got back from TET UK and if baffled me how tolerant the English hikers, bikers and horseriders were! In Belgium 90% of this video would be illegal but the fact that in UK it’s legal to ride the trails and people say hello when you wave at them and just slow down around people is just awesome!! Thank you UK, I had the best time! We rode from Folkestone to Portsmouth to Salisburg and back, amazing stuff
Perfect bike for TET in my opinion. Granted some of the more technical stuff would definitely be easier on the 350 exc-f. It’s all a compromise though, lots of road that would be miserable between sections on the 350
Well done, and on your new tenere
Cheers Alan
Brilliant trip in great company. Heres to the next one!
Great craic looking back, can’t wait for round 2
No wonder your sliding about so much, using the tenere Oem pirelli's.. they are total sheet! changed mine to Tck80's, massive improvement all around.
Ye they’re bloody terrible. Currently running Motoz Tractionator Adventure and the difference is night and day
loved this , keep them coming 👍👍👍👍
Cheers

super job lads
Well done loved the video
Cheers
Hey, Great video!! Do you reckon a KTM 1290 Adv would manage the Welsh TET?

nice one! i found it really scary through strata florida
Fantastic trail, looking forward to going again
Cool videos lads, can I ask what crash bars you have on the T7
SW Motech
Jason, where did you find the track? I can't find it on Wikilocs and you are using a phone, where can I download the TET track for UK?
TET app on Google play
Sorry just seeing this now. But yes, theres a TET website and an app in the android store with all the GPX files

what make is the exhaust of your friend with the black Tenere?
It’s a Mivv. Nice exhaust, sounds class
Was that a quadlock phonemount that broke off?
No it was a Lifeproof mount. Good piece of kit and the mount itself was fine, it was the magnet on the back of my phone case that broke off unfortunately
What camera are you using ?
In this video it was a GoPro Hero 8
Great video. Where did you start?
I don’t know the names of any of the tracks but started with the TET GPX files as close to Fishguard port as we could.
@@motorbikediaries looks a great day out
@@matthewellison5814 It was brilliant. Round 2 next year for sure
How was the T7 on the trails? Stable? Front end ok? Cheers

Are you guys on the TIT trans Irish trail .
You guys atte braver than me taking on those narrow walking lanes. I fear more the judgemental looks from cyclist and walkers than the terrain.
Used to bother me too. But it’s a free world. We’re all entitled to enjoy it, not just walkers

Turn the music off and let’s just hear the bikes. Thanks
Doing TET on a touring bike - brave!

With these Bikes and these skills (no offense!) this doesnt look like a Tour. Rather standing around and talking...
They had more fun than you writing this comment tho😘 people can always improve, but they’re out there doing it and that’s always a win
