He's my fav drummer reason I want a drum kit extremely soon and I want to learn this song and many more so people can hear there songs that he helped and played on/in. Also Synister Gates and Zacky V are the reason I am learning guitar and Johnny Christ is reason for me buying a bass so the whole band is a big inspiration for me.
I found out about a good 8 months ago but what kills me even more I was introduced with the hail to the king album wish I could have been introduced during the Rev era loved him

I bought a second ride cymbal to play sections like this. From my understanding it's a single stroke roll on two bell rides with double bass mirroring the hands while playing the snare on beats two and four.

well they have done metal and hard rock influenced style music too. Honestly, they can be considered an Alternative Metal since they have experimented with multiple music influences and styles. I take it you have some kind of weird and unjustified dissatisfaction with this band. Metallica and Megadeth have experimented with none metal styles of music, yet they are all so metal still?
well earlier fob was a form of alternative pop rock, so was early maroon 5, i didn't mind any of those bands in their earlier years. A7x is just A7x, metal, hard rock, alternative rock, they do quite a few songs with mixed and fused genres.
Even their most recent album is metal, by modern standards it could be considered hard rock even though it's heavily influenced directly from the big 4 and some songs sound the same and include the same instrument techniques, but yea definitely hard rock
