These are made from rockband, you get 2 guitars and a mic and play in practice, if you don't hit any notes no sound comes. So the only way to hear more of these is when rockband adds new a7x songs lol.
I left (a longer version of) this comment on the original, lower-quality upload of this video, but I'll repost the abridged version of it here for... fun, I guess. 3:28 is the single greatest achievement in the history of humanity and all of its efforts. I *may*, in the future, isolate and upload that solo (if I'm generous, I'll upload some slower versions too) for the benefit of any poor fucks like me who may be attempting to emulate this solo or, even more courageously, write it out in sheet music. If that should come to pass, I'll add a link to the video (or playlist) to this comment. P.S., I'll be especially inclined to upload the isolated solo if I receive responses in favour of me doing so.
Don't take this as negative the dude is a beast... what I like is that it does have it's imperfections. And It's raw. Which I like. So beast YES. Beat ever? Nowhere close. BUT.... he had an undeniable instinct for composition; when to play when to lay back etc
I'm a little late to the party but it's not hard to get that sound out of a snare. First off you have to realize that the rev has some of the best skins on his drums, both the face and the resident side. To make it short and sweet you have to tune both sides incredibly tight, to get that high pitch ping that you hear. It wouldn't hurt to tighten the snares as well.
Just tune both sides super high. And have a really thick and strong head on the batter side (Remo Emperor X is what The Rev used here, or an Evans Heavyweight) + Reso side (Remo Emperor Hazy or Evans Snare Side 500). Or if you have one, use a piccolo snare to make it easier to get a higher tuning. It's really not that hard.
@multislipknotfan1 It's extracted from either Guitar Hero or Rock Band - the video games. Unfortunately there isn't some program that extract instruments from any song.
How in the fuck did Jimmy get his snare to sound like this? It’s like if the St Anger snare sounded good! Edit: his drum sound here is up with the likes of Metallica’s Black Album and Slayer’s Reign in Blood

Because of the trash can snares famously used by Lars Ulrich, the section is post-traumatic stress disorder-inducing.

@@BasherOG definitely not

Why my brain still play the guitar parts?
Raden Hartantyo Wicaksono because you’re used to hearing the full song so it messes with your brain that the instruments are still there

Air drumming to this track is so epic.
Knife master :'3
One of my favorite drum tracks
Man this is the ultimate snare sound. No matter what i do i cant get my snare to sound like this. Close but not the same
Maybe its just a mixing?
Idk bcz LBC one is different than in the album itself
This video doesn't have the same sound as the original song. This may be a re-recording for Guitar Hero or something.
I disagree. You can feel the straight double bass building up. That's what I like about it.
personaly i like the helicopter propeller bases
11 years today, Rip Rev
His foot pedal work is sensational
the bass pedals are so punchy i love the sound of them
3:35 the Rev is not human. Resurrect in paradise brother.
3:43 EPIC!!!
They can't do the drum racks for everything, because those weren't released on rock band. people extract it from there.
