I love John Varvatos fragrances my scent of the day is XX artisan and because John Varvatos fragrances don't have really good performance I put on a layer of molecule o1 ISO E super and it's projecting really well so far and it smells like it's going to last at least about six or seven hours or so. 😁💯

Man this fragrance let me down bad! Went right back to Macy's & returned it & got the LACOSTE L12 12 eau fraiche instead for my collection. If I wanted to wear that smell I'd just rock with my Y live

I own this one. Projects OKAY buy longevity is very weak. It has a fairly decent smell to it but thinking about returning it. Bought it from Macy's but thinking about returning since they accept open bottles that have already been used.
I also got it from Macys. My online order didn’t have a receipt. They’ll take it back?

I tend to disagree on your opinion. Reminds me of a mix of Invictus and aqua di gio. Just picked up a bottle the other day. Lasts longer than Invictus. Got the beachy look to the bottle, so beachy kinda scent matches. Light, refreshing scent to me. Still enough musk for that "manly" scent. To each their own opinions though

the company seems to be doing a lot better after going through the bankruptcy. I just wish they would bring back dark rebel. Agree with the artisan stuff being great.
You can get dark rebel still. I just got a bottle from fragrancenet last weekend.

I like it better than dark rebel rider. Its pretty similar but dark rebel is easier to wear. I would only wear rider in like a "gentlemen only" suit n tie occasion that involved drinks. But regular dark rebel you could pull off more casual. I like them both.

I like y edp and Ralph’s club but don’t think they smell alike. Maybe same vibes? But y edp more grab and go more dressy and Ralph’s club is more casual to me
If the new YSL Y edt formulation smells different than the last one this might be a good alternative. Most likely cheaper when it hits discounters

The dry down on this is so addictive. It's close to the skin but it's great. It's like a sugar cookie. That's how I describe it. It is for sure a cuddle scent. The opening is almost blah, very basic not bad but meh. When it drys down it reminds me of radio bomby by d.s. & durga. At retail it's a pass but at bargain price it's definitely solid.
I've seen the artisan Blu for $25 at my local rack store. Is it unique enough of a blue frag to justify a blind buy of it?
In my opinion it's a great freshie not so much of a blue scent though. It's more green, kinda minty without smelling like mint. You can look up several RUclips reviews on it to get a better understanding of how it comes across. It has some comparisons to neroli portofino by Tom Ford.

Smells great but it smells exactly and I mean exactly like Azzaro chrome extreme which is like $32
It may smell like Azzaro Chrome extreme to YOU. But to me they have zero similarity. My wife hates extreme and looooves this on me. Extreme has more of a citrus sweet smell. I think this smells closer to Lacoste L12 12 Eau fraiche. Though this scent is more sweet and aqua, Lacoste has more of a “fresh linen” smell. I like both of the latter mentioned, but think the the varvatos teal has more complexity but not as long lasting as the Lacoste I mentioned.

Disagree. In general Azzaros fresh cents smells cheaper and Varvatos fresh scents smells expensive.

No. But it would be quality stuff if they did. These are blended well. Only the longevity is suspect. But layering with Sauvage is fun. 🎉

Ugh! Seems like another letdown. All the money went into the bottle design and not into the juice apparently.
I've been wearing this a lot lately. Performance is pretty weak, so I end up "over spraying," which I think solves the problem. I would agree that it smells a little like YSL, with DG Light Blue Summer vibes mixed in there. I like it better than YSL Y.
I mean it DOES smell good but not the greatest by far.

This is underrated in my opinion. Perfect summer frag to the T. Easy blind buy recommendation since it is fresh, exactly what the bottle and color communicates. Drydown goes green. This review is a bit unfair to Varvatos. Why is being similar to other fragrances a downside that would mark down a good fragrance. Let's be real, they all build off each other and many fresh profiles smell alike naturally. Not everyone has Defy and Y and a bunch of other similar fragrances and feel disappointed that it isn't reinventing the fresh genre.
Pure smokes it. More complex and double the longevity so no point in TEAL

It’s good stuff for those who actually want something different - majority of fragcomm gets upset over generic stuff. Made it clear though that it’s for citrus lovers only. It’s definitely not for people who can’t pull off something remotely challenging like a Bentley For Men Intense cheapie or Lalique Encre Noir.
What a shame…I own Y edt and edp so I wouldn’t cop a bottle of this, but overall I’m tired of these houses always copying other popular or once popular fragrances. Straight hopping on bandwagons 🤦🏻♂️ whatever happened to being creative and coming up with your own unique fragrance?? 🫤
