Finally a “how to” that’s slow enough for guys like me who don’t learnt real fast.

Very well said. I give him all the credit as well. I have a time convincing others that it's okay to use but If they'd seen as many "educated climber" videos as I have, they wouldn't doubt it either😁

After spending ten minutes untying a loaded knot the other day (thinking there has to be a better way) I remembered your method and watched this video to make sure I got it right. What a difference after a day of pulling logs. It's quick, easy to adjust, and works! It is ugly though, haha, but who cares when work has to get done. Thanks for sharing!

what are the limitations of this knot? would you use it to lift something with a small diameter, like a handle of a butane tank? (to lift on a roof) how many turns you need for it to be sufficently secure to take pieces of the tree to the ground? i know it's not one to hold a person, but it'd be interesting to learn more about your experience with it

I know your right, I should know my running bowline upside down and backwards. Rather then tying it the way I prefer. Sometimes a tree will not alow for you to tie it, the way you prefer. It will demand for you, to do it upside down and backwards. Sometimes my brain refuses to function and will not allow for me to do that. When that happens, my brain fills the gap with this daisy chain, just as seen here in this video. Throughout the typical 40hr grind. If a coworker seen me using the daisy chain, they break my ball's every time. Just do a running bowline they say. They say, I dont know how strong that is. So frustrating! I'm going to master the running bowline, that I thought I had already mastered. In the mean time, to prevent us from going over on time with this job, just eat this f****** daisy chain and climb down out of my ass😠😡😤wtf it's probably stronger than a running bowline anyway. I was thinking outloud again😳 Sorry about that crew leader, my bad😁😎

I watched a different video of you lowering sections of limb with this hitch now seeing this there was a *click* in my brain as to why, it works for you up in the tree, there is not a bothersome dangling rope end and the ground support has one pull to free the line from the load GENIUS
