I bought a pitiful Betta from a well known pet store that looked on his last day. When it healed the colors came in so brilliant. Almost fluorescent. It’s also blind in one eye I’ve never heard of any genetically modified fish. I wonder is this one of them. Interesting information. Thank you.

If it was a regular betta it probably wasn’t genetically modified - just line bred.

Missed the stream but I've got a couple questions. About to be ordering fish. Should I run them through any meds just as a general measure. Also setting up 2 shrimp tanks same question but I want to do matten filters and know carbon absorbs meds. How would yall approach that?

Possibly. Just have a backup plan in case it doesn’t work.
