I have made these for a few years now and sell at my local Farmer's Market in Upstate NY, USA. I sell mine for $2 each. This year at my annual Catholic Women's Retreat, I brought the Retreat House 70 of these to use as take away gifts. They were happy to get them. I also make mine from 4" squares and batch sew them, as well. Thanks for sharing this!
Thanks. I received one of these as a gift from a friend, and have since made my own as gifts. I need a few of my own for my cook books. Thanks, again. Kathleen in Canada.
I was looking through my pile of offcuts only yesterday thinking I’d need to patch them into a larger piece. But now I’ll make a few bookmarks thanks to you.
If you make cork or other raw edge fabric projects, these are great scrap busters. No turning necessary. Just cut your shape and stitch. Heart shaped is my favorite.
Thank you Christine for another great tutorial 🌺 I have not been sewing for too long. My daughter has been asking me to make her a box pouch type lunch bag with the zip around the top half. Do you think you would be able to make a video showing us how to make one of these? It’s so lovely to watch someone normal that I can relate to! Thank you again 🌺🌺
Good day Christine, you must be a mind reader, yesterday I pulled out my large bag of fabric scraps and was going to throw them away, had made a few of your tissue covers. This project will be awesome to use up my scrap fabric, thank you so much, clever idea.
Thanks Christine these are a great little project. I made these and made the inner square white and wrote a little message with a pigma pen on the bottom . Fantastic 😊
Thank you for the quick project. This is what I consider to be a palette cleanser between other projects. That quick and easy feeling of accomplishment prevents burnout. Side note, minimum wage is $27?!? In the US it's still $7.25. Absolutely SHAMEFUL! Even with the conversion rate, it's pitiful.
Love the video ... I love scraps too so have plenty to play woth .... BUT your calc. went a little wrong ... should be 4.50 each - don't sell yourself short
I tried making some like this, but I need to work on my top stitching. It was soo crooked lol I was also trying to use up some acrylic felt I had sitting around to make them stiff
If you enjoyed this video & feel like giving something back to the channel, you can do that here..... www.buymeacoffee.com/stitchthisr

You can never have enough of these Kathleen😁
They are great and won’t fall out losing your place. Especially for a student or editor, journalist, research etc.
They'll make a great stocking stuffer too😀

I was doing the same Duncan. The scrap pile can be a little overwhelming sometimes😀
Thanks Christine. Great tutorial and enjoyable to watch.
Thanks so much Janice😀

Ahh, this is on my to do list Tina. It's one I'm lacking confidence in, but really need to knuckle down and work it out😀

It's funny Eve, I pulled my scraps out as well. Then promptly put them all back😀
I have a lot of small muslin pieces and a heat press. I think I will do a bunch for the family, personalized with their names on for them as gifts.
That sounds like a fabulous idea😀
I sew to sell and donate. I will be making these. Thank you. Love them
I hope they do really well for you Mary😁
As always a great video. It’s so interesting how you work out your costing. Thank you for taking the time to share.
Thanks Debra😁
Thanks Christine great use of scraps like you I do get a lot of them
Thanks Pamela. I think my scrap bin is competing with my fabric stash😀
Thank you Christian I made some today, easy peasy!!!
That's awesome Mary😁

Your $7.25 is worth $10.96 here, the minimum wage here is $23.23 for people 21 and over, under 21 it's $15.23. Still a sizable difference.
"Palette cleanser". I do like that term Bonnie. It is a shame about the wages. It's so difficult for everyone now😀
I've made some. I did embroidery an initial on a couple of them before I stitched them together.
That's a wonderful idea Nita. Thanks for sharing😀
❤
Thanks Sheila😀

Oh wow, how did I miss that! Back to school for me. Thanks Adrienne. 😀
You did these a few years ago, didn't you? It's where I learned they were a thing
I did Sharon, though slightly different. This version is much quicker.
Good memory 😀
Bite your tongue. You are a "Fabric Resource Coordinator" Thanks for sharing
Edit. It would help if I could spell
Haha, I do like that title Cynthia😀
I tried making some like this, but I need to work on my top stitching. It was soo crooked lol

Your top stitching will get better with practice Suzy. Trick is to watch where you're going, not watching the needle😁
