Discovering Courtney has been the highlight of my year, she’s been on repeat this past week. I scored tickets to see her in Toronto in February & holy f I can’t wait. Couldn’t ask for a better musician to see for my first time at Massey Hall
Don't know if she actually played in February...probably not...so she's back in September at Massey Hall. Maybe you already have your tickets!

Right handers who rarely face a left handed opponent, in sports from baseball to boxing, to tennis, have to learn how to defend from a different angle. Some maintain that left handed folks even provide a unique perspective in the creative arts, such as painting and music. At any rate, I think the world needs more variety, left handed people provide a different point of view, and variety is said to be the spice of life.

I think part of the beauty of her last lines are that she knows herself and where she stands in the world. That kind of insight can be something we find reassuring when we're somewhat uncertain of where we stand ourselves. Especially when we relate to the rest of the way she's expressed her understanding of this strange and absurd experience of being human.
Underneath it all though, she's looking forward to someone's next letter, and one thing we can be sure matters to us in life is good company.
