This is a parody of the famous jersey toss commercial.

This commercial is upside-down. It makes light of the stuff House would not make light of, and makes serious the moments that the show would not.

1:18 - House would most certainly stop and speak with a kid. Kid's and the elderly are the only people house respects / shows true care for throughout the series not including his puzzles. Especially after he just heard news of loss (his puzzle patient dying) he would be more vulnerable to speak to a random character.
2:36 - House most certainly does get upset when a patient dies. Not because a human dies, but because he wasn't able to solve their puzzle that would've ultimately kept them alive. When one of his patients die, it means he failed.
    3:45 - LMAO

      My thoughts exactly

Sure, maybe House would stop and speak with the kid in reality. I think that the commercial shows that he seems really approachable and accessible, and listens with utmost patience at the kid's request- not really House's temperament that we've seen over the years. Not that he'd never do it - but a 30 second clip of this seems to suggest that he's NOT being House-y.
And saying 'a patient just died' is supposed to evoke a feeling of him being upset and regretful, when in reality he isn't like this. Yes, House TRULY is attracted to puzzles and only really upset when he can't solve them, yes. Essentially - "I just had one of my patient's die and I'm upset, you think your little snack will make me feel better'" Is a direct response to him being stuck on his emotions and responding to the kid trying to cheer him up, instead of his failure to solve the puzzle. He might have said "I failed to figure out what was wrong with my patient, you think that snack will help?". That sounds more like what House would ACTUALLY say.
This was supposed to just be a fun exercise :) thanks for watching

Maybe it’s just me, maybe the fact 2:25 sounds weird is because he drags out the word.
    “My patient just dieeed”
Where I think he’s be more snappy and “formal” “my patient just died and you think… “

YES that's exactly it. He'd either say it quickly or make a joke and move on, not "diiIEeEedDd". Sounds like he's trying to do a bad impression of himself lol

For all of your diligence and research of television and this character, the fact that you don’t seem to realize that this is a parody of the mean show green Coca-Cola commercial from the 70s were in exchange for forgetting a Coke at the end of a tough loss mean Joe Green gives the fan his jersey. This commercial hits every note of thatin a Funhouse mirror away. And it is 100% perfectly appropriate for a Super Bowl commercial, which is exactly what they were going for.

I don't know why, but I feel that he would be an ass but he would also take the churro.

He'd take the churro, tell him "that's life sometimes", and leave the crying child without a parent as he struts away. THAT'S how it'd play out.
