My local quilt shop has those Amanda Murphy rulers and now I really want to read her books on ruler work because it looks like a good way to get comfortable with machine quilting in a different way than using the walking foot. Thank you for another fun video!
Hi Irene, thank you for the video and inspiration. I’d like to know if I can do this with an old 910 Bernina Matic. Do I need a special foot to use rulers or can I use the darning foot that comes with the machine?
I’ll need to buy rulers. Thank you for your tutorial Irene.
Adjusting your lines for parallel, that is how we know you are an engineer! And such a cute design for the quilting!
Nice tutorial on the top machine quilting, thanks for sharing 👍❤️😊
Such a darling ice cream block! A fun chat to listen to while I hand quilt! Thank you for sharing!
Great work, so easy to follow. I am getting the q16 for my birthday in February next year so really excited.

Good night the quilt is cute. From Switzerland 🇨🇭
Nice explanation!
Very nice demonstration! I could see your work very well and I like your design details.
It’s beautiful! I liked both front and back. I guess it’ll make a wonderful interchangeable table mat for kids 😀 fun
Thanks, yeah it will!
Good work!

Love this demonstration. What setting did you use? Which ruler foot was used? I am waiting for my new machine and can't wait to try FMQ. Thanks
Thanks! Ruler foot #72, the setting was BSR1, SPI=10, RPM=250 on my Bernina Q16. Enjoy your new machine, so exciting!!!
What is the number of foot you using please?
Did you lower the foot. I don’t know what you call them in English
On a Q16 and Q 20, the feet are always hidden. These machines are especially made for FMQ, free motion quilting .
@@meghanplamondon8639 I don’t understand, which feet are hidden? Do you mean the feed dogs?
On the Q16 and Q20 there aren't any feed dogs to lower. It is simply a free motion quilting machine. Hope this answers your question.
