Adventure Cycling (formerly Bikecentennial) first route was not the GDMBR. They first developed their epic 1976 Trans America Route!

Enjoy the GDMBR. Your Q&A was excellent and Ryan VanDuzer is my hero too. I actually got the Priority 600X to add to my stable of bikes and it has become my daily rider. Where did you get that great T-shirt about the bike-it list? I have been telling friends that for years. 🤓

Thanks! The tee is from Primalwear.com. I agree…the perfect sentiment.

Loved watching your videos... I had to take a double take when I saw my picture with you. I remember how cold it was that morning, and how hot it was the day before.
You guys were camped on the side of the road, as I rode by you. Then you past me on a big hill.
It was so nice to meet you.

Jan!! So great to hear from you! Traci and I were sure we’d see you again, so we were sad when we didn’t. We always wondered how the rest of your trip went. Hope you are doing well, I can only guess what your next adventure will be!

Katrina, I'm really enjoying your GDMBR adventure! When you finish posting your GDMBR trip videos, could you do a "Post-Ride Lessons", sort of a how-to on how you did the ride? I am planning to ride it in 2024 and it would be handy to know what you found to be useful and not useful (apps, websites, equipment, etc.). Thanks!

I’ve loved all your Divide videos, epic job on the filming and awesome work riding it all. I’ve seen a few and enjoyed yours the most as you took the time to take in all the scenery. 10 out of 10. 👏🏻👏🏻💥

Hope you enjoyed ride, wish i had seen this sooner. Maybe we met or you got some water (30 cases last season) blue cooler before Ute Pass into silverthorne Colorado. Hope its ok to post for others, MM 14.5 between kremmling & Ute Pass, it's a welcome place to camp, each year setting up better.
Never followed Ryan but Lael was such a nice person to have met here just for water and a quick picture or two.

@@katrinahase it's on a slight downslope around a bend going into valley, many miss it (30 cases didn't, lol), will be more visible next year with a small metal art bike painted and gate opening for bike's to go to the "bike bus". Time is short here mountains summer and been remolding home.

Another great video! Again thanks for posting ! Lol now I’m super curious which rain gear you bought and if you ended up liking it? -). Ps I also got into this via those amazing FOMO Ryan Van Duzer videos and picked up a 600X. Have done a couple solo trips here in the sierras. Honestly I was a little nervous being solo but it’s nice going at your own pace

I have the Showers Pass EcoLyte Elite rain jacket and the Timberline Pant. Overall, I love them for the comfort and versatility to provide a windbreaker layer in cooler weather. I like that they pack small, too. I was disappointed, however, that they both saturated in all-day light rain.

    • @raymarks7430
      @raymarks7430 Год назад +1

@@katrinahase I picked up a higher end light rain jacket, figure I'll bring my puffy also for under it? Bummer that the jacket and rain pants also got saturated. I will keep that in mind re Timberline

@@katrinahase ps -on my second solo bp trip this fall, i got hit by some serious rain and got my sleeping bag wet too. (must have rolled up against single wall tent) ..anyway I learned that in future I need to bring a plastic bag for the tent and or maybe two one for tent and one for sleeping bag so my other stuff doesn't get wet in the bike bags. (if i can't dry them in AM). I got the newer Dan Durston XMid single wall but due to the wet issue am rethinking and might bring my older XMID std 2P with more room

Amazing! I just watched a previous video, and subscribed.
What services and equipment do you use to get such graphic route tracking on your video? Very impressive!

Thank you for watching and subscribing! The map program is an app called Relive. It makes the map video directly from your gpx file.
