this video was super helpful for someone whos currently putting together their own Bloodpod list. one thing I would say is it would be nice if you linked this video in the primer of your list so when people come from one of your videos with you playing it they can watch this as a kind of primer.
I'm so happy to see that you guys chose to keep doing this deck tech videos, because you explain so well the combos and how they interact with the current meta. Wish you the best and love your channel guys it have become my favorite cEDH content ^^.
It is really impressive how you guys are able to create such amazing gameplay videos and be able to do such a great job with these very well structured deck techs as well. The cEDH community is so lucky to have you guys, great work as always.
Fantastic episode Play to Win! Love the walk through, actually showing how the deck works and what you are looking for in your hand turn 1. Keep up the excellent work!
Great fucking episode, I love how cleanly you describe everything, and break everything down, obviously, we're all here for spicy gameplay, but honestly I love when you guys take a break from the gameplay and have a conversation and show your mentality on a lot of cards you play, it gives us a lot of insight and a chance to hang with you guys!
Love that yall take the time to go through and break down these decks I love being able to see the reasoning behind why you chose the cards that you did, I hope you guys keep making these so people can see more of the ins and outs of CEDH decks and understand how they work Keep up the great work
Uncle Vernon: Fine day Sunday. In my opinion, best day of the week. Why is that, Dudley? Harry: [when Dudley doesn't answer] Because there's a new video from PlaytoWin on Sundays? Uncle Vernon: Right you are, Harry! A new video from PlaytoWin. Hah!
for enlighted tutor redundancy, you can run moon-blessed cleric: its a 3 mana creature that on ETB does what enlighted tutor does. but its not instant speed :)
Love this video guys, great work. I just recently discovered the deck in some of your videos, and as a modern Jund player this deck speaks to me. Can’t wait to try to get it out together!
As a fellow stax player and a hermit pod player myself loved being able to hear your thought process. Stax is extremely difficult to understand and hearing you break down the deck was fascinating.
this video is what got me to make Blood Pod for my CEDH table. I would love to see an update on Dylans deck and he thinking going in to blood pod. I know several things have changed since this video.
I'm not even playing cEDH but watching your videos is so enjoyable ! Your insights on the format is neat and you're both great entertainers (; Cheers from France
After watching the game last week I have already proxied the unfinished parts of this deck into my cEDH staple box. This deck is everything I loved about birthing pod Modern in 2013 but with vintage powered staples :) love the content!!
Great explanation. Love hearing about cedh decks and gameplay, I really wanna start playing some. Also Cam I love the Wawa shirt! I miss Wawa so much, grew up outside of Philly but moved up to The northeast over a decade ago. Man do I miss that place lol
These deck techs are probably even better than the games, which are awesome in their own right. I love seeing experienced cedh players doing in depth examinations of decks.
Thanks so much for the tec, I've been looking into building a blood pod deck for a while and this may have finally persuaded me. Also there apparently isn't an English antonym for synergy, but i've always said antisynergy myself- rolls off the tongue the easiest.
Great episode! Thanks for going so in depth. It really helps in figuring out the thought processes going into the deck. It gives me more ideas for a deck I've been tuning, as well as new tools to test out.
I’ve been running T&T blood pod for the last 3 years. Built many different archetypes in Cedh and I continue to come back to BP. My most favorite deck of all time. Oh and it evolved from my Yisan Cedh deck lol
Yuriko episode after Kamigawa is out? Thought it was interesting when you guys mentioned Chains of mephistoles in an earlier episode and would love to see your take on the deck.
Love these kind of episodes. At least when you guys make them. 👏🏽thank you Question: where is a good place to get good proxies? Some places are expensive and have terrible quality. Help?
Also, do y’all have a playlist of blood pod gameplay on your channel? I only see one or two other episodes with tymna pod decks🤷🏽♂️ Edit: nvm, found it 😊 ruclips.net/p/PLLPc2O7B3LPHKRRrpi4qriHi20pfDoYm1
A very informative video. I liked this presentation so much more than any other EDH deck explanation out there. Also, could I interest you folks in a "best enchantress deck in cEDH," video?
Hey this is great, currently my only cEDH deck is G/W Selvala, and I was thinking of doing blood pod. Just ordered a set of OG dual and cradle proxies too. Sweet tech though, easy to follow and the visuals were a nice bonus to help illustrate what to do. Edit: Also, was that the new boseju at the 4:38 mark? How'd you get that early? :O I'm jealous.
Awesome video as always fellas! I have a question where do you guys get your proxies from? I really want to get into cEDH but obviously it’s kind of hard to drop $700 bucks on an imperial seal
Hey, during the sample hand section, could you leave a graphic up showing the sample pod and turn cycle so that we can keep that in mind when we see and hear you guys discuss each sample hand? I think that'd be a great improvement for viewers learning the deck!
I have played stax for a very long time, and I’m a HUGE fan of Blood Pod. I have a few questions: 1. Why no Endurance? 2. I have seen many lists play Jeweled Lotus. Is this a bad card for this deck? 3. Will the Boseju replace cards like Force of Vigor and or Natures Claim? As always I appreciate the content from you all. Bless you guys.
They mention endurance in the deck tech , and I could almost see the 1 off effect of Jeweled lotus as not powerful enough because Tymna is the main commander, getting her out fast and floating a color is nice, but dylan isn't focusing on Tana, so maaaaybe he focused more removal than the fast ramp? He said it's a slow deck so he doesn't need to speed out Tymna maybe? Just guesses! Never played Blood Pod myself, but I always love seeing it played on the channel
Good question on the jeweled lotus, I'm thinking about that one as well. My guess is that JL only taps fpr commander mana, and none of the commanders actually stop things from happening in the game. Like, if you have a Gitrog next to you, you'd want to prioritize having cards that can stop their win and leave them blown out, as opposed to having faat mana for your commander to draw more cards. Tldr: I think Jeweled lotus and the commanders don't interact enough with the board.
Sorry if the question is not in context but is the play to win playmate scedule to restoct, im a new fan and in love whit the play mate, thanks for the content
Meta Pod/Blood Pod decks truly are imo the best and most versatile Stax decks in CEDH and offer a wide variety of lines and interaction. Biggest downside is not having blue but upside able to maintain a solid board state and adapt to the table!
Love blood pod! One of the best stax out there. What other win conditions are people playing? Would love to include null rod but the non-bo with birthing pod makes me ill
So Kind of curious Would you guys include the new Is orchish bowmaster ? And the new shelderid ? And the stuck and if so what would you put it in for ?
What build would you recommend for a creature heavy meta? I am debating about these two partner or Mirisi breaker of the coil. I have everything needed for for birthing pod combo
Great distinction regarding stax. The goal should always be to win. Blood Pod is never going to be as fast as some other decks so it needs to slow down enough to win........and then win not lock the game and force people to concede out of frustration
Honestly at the end of the day winota reins Supreme. I've never seen a game where there's a winota player and another stax player that didn't result in the stax player just enabling winota and assuring her win. Idk just my experience
i think elesh norn may have been worth the mention as a stax piece as well, a lot of creature based win cons and combos are shut off. Just to name a few the kiki-cat line in this deck doesnt work, dualcaster-twinflame lines dont work, witherbloom apprentice/chain of smog is shut off, kinnan is shut off, most of winota is shut off. I just feel like elesh norn's effect can just hose so many decks and strategies that even if im not gonna win with it in that moment it can be impactful to just drop it on board to flip the bird to 2 toughness creatures. P.S. Thanks for the content and it was super cool to learn more about this deck that ive come to love from seeing on so many videos and playing myself
Call me crazy, but I've recently started cutting sylvan library from my cedh decks that don't have a significant amount of lifegain (I.E. Ikra/Kraum). I've opted for adding Necropotence or Ohran Frostfang to my Bloodpod lists in it's place. Of course, these are higher mana investments, but the card quality is just so high.
New spicy tech for Blood Pod that I've been LOVING has been Managorger Hydra. Grows out of control very fast. Better than Ishai as it's 1 less mana, monocolored, it triggers off your own spells also while still being evasive with trample. Tymna trigger capable and warps the game around it very very quickly. Just thought I'd share the new tech...I didn't think it was amazing at first.. but after testing it's overperformed every time I've played it. The hardest part is finding room in the list 😫.
Quick q: with ranger captain at which interaction point would you go for to stop an ad naus deck - if they go on an endstep do you crack it on their upkeep? Do you respond to the ad naus with the crack? Thanks
depends on so much. I might crack on upkeep if the naus on endstep though, depending on what the naus shows. unless I thin they can win at instant speed.
The way you visually explained the two, one-card win conditions was really clean and made it very easy to understand. thanks!
Agreed.
I love these deck techs, keep them coming because I'm learning so much more about cEDH from you guys.
This channel single handedly got me to sell my entire collection and buy into cEDH. Worth it!
I like how it’s set up like an interview where Cameron asks what viewers would ask.
this video was super helpful for someone whos currently putting together their own Bloodpod list. one thing I would say is it would be nice if you linked this video in the primer of your list so when people come from one of your videos with you playing it they can watch this as a kind of primer.

I love these deck techs!!!! Individual card breakdown and how the cards interact, is just awesome! Keep it up!!
Right before Cameron mentioned the videos being organized by commander I was getting my search ready.
Love it.
Explanations of the combos at the beginning were great, keep doing that sort of stuff.
Really enjoy this style of video!! Please do more, it's great for people wanting to learn more about cEDH
Love the style of this of deck tech with all the visuals of the real cards/ moxfield! Excited to see more
Love that yall take the time to go through and break down these decks I love being able to see the reasoning behind why you chose the cards that you did, I hope you guys keep making these so people can see more of the ins and outs of CEDH decks and understand how they work
Keep up the great work
The deck is a Play to Win classic. I also enjoy Cameron’s Bruse/Ikra deck as well

YESSS THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO. I LOVE BLOOD POD. YOURE DECK TECHS GIVE ME LIFE!
Awesome job with the tabletop demonstrations guys! Makes everything way easier to understand for some not fully familiar with cedh combos yet

The inclusion of Mayhem Devil is so good. So many treasures/fetch lands/sac outlets.
Great video! I’m working on my own Blood Pod deck right now and I really enjoyed the advice!
I love this series with talking through deck techs ❤️
After watching the game last week I have already proxied the unfinished parts of this deck into my cEDH staple box. This deck is everything I loved about birthing pod Modern in 2013 but with vintage powered staples :) love the content!!

YES YES YES. I was asking for a blood pod deck tech since the Urza deck tech. Thanks for uploading :))
Absolutely loved this deck tech! My friends and I are about to start making CEDH decks soon and these deck techs are so helpful!
Just when I'm looking at building my first cedh deck and thinking about bloodpod this gets posted. Must be a sign.
These deck techs are probably even better than the games, which are awesome in their own right. I love seeing experienced cedh players doing in depth examinations of decks.
Awesome deck!!!!! Definitely considering an option for my next CEDH!
Super Excited! This was my pick for a deck tech!
Thanks so much for the tec, I've been looking into building a blood pod deck for a while and this may have finally persuaded me. Also there apparently isn't an English antonym for synergy, but i've always said antisynergy myself- rolls off the tongue the easiest.
Would love to see the Lock-Nath monster again!
Love the walkthrough of the winning lines! Very helpful for noobs like me!
Yuriko episode after Kamigawa is out? Thought it was interesting when you guys mentioned Chains of mephistoles in an earlier episode and would love to see your take on the deck.
Really digging these deck techs!
love these deck profile style videos . I'd love to see Grolnock or Kinnian next
I think it's "Non-synergistic" 👍.
Love the visual breakdown of combos!
Love these kind of episodes. At least when you guys make them. 👏🏽thank you
Question: where is a good place to get good proxies? Some places are expensive and have terrible quality. Help?
Wondering the same!
Also, do y’all have a playlist of blood pod gameplay on your channel? I only see one or two other episodes with tymna pod decks🤷🏽♂️
Edit: nvm, found it 😊

Love these deck techs! Would love to see one on Niv MIzzet!
I would love to see an update reflecting the new list!
Great vid as always guys! Thanks for the very easy to consume content
This video was so helpful. Please make more like this! Tymna/Tevesh next!!!!

Probably a proxy, I assume?
Just found this channel. You guys are amazing

tnx so much, I made a Blood Pod after seeing your game vids before :) tnx for this vid on your thoughts and tech
Sick deck guys! Keep up the awesome videos!!! I love the information.
You guys should do a video on Tatyova, Benthic Druid. I’ve always been curious as to how you guys would build/operate the deck.
I made a Marath Machine Gun Pod, and this video will probably help me fine tune it more 😁 Solid!
This is amazing. Easy to understand. Do you have a Najeela video explaining it and its different lines?
Please more videos like this one!
Cam out here representing the real MVP in Wawa. I love that place so much
I have played stax for a very long time, and I’m a HUGE fan of Blood Pod. I have a few questions:
1. Why no Endurance?

loved this, would love to see dawnwaker thrasios!
Awesome deck tech, love it!
Love the deck techs guys👍👍👍👍
Blood pod feels like a legacy nic fit deck and I love it it feels like the perfect shell for kiki lines
Great content, hope to see more in the future
Any plan for an Hapatra deck tech? I am building a deck, but honestly have no clue about the plan
I been enjoying the hulk version. With a back up snoop line, and other things.
Sorry if the question is not in context but is the play to win playmate scedule to restoct, im a new fan and in love whit the play mate, thanks for the content
Fantastic episode! Please do more of these types of deck profiles I really enjoy the style. Also are all those OG Duals real?
Blood pod is the only cedh deck I have so I love this
More videos like this please
Blood Pod is cool, love how it grinds
Meta Pod/Blood Pod decks truly are imo the best and most versatile Stax decks in CEDH and offer a wide variety of lines and interaction. Biggest downside is not having blue but upside able to maintain a solid board state and adapt to the table!

Try Paroshh food chain u can use the tokens from parosh and food chain to cast parosh as many times as u want
What build would you recommend for a creature heavy meta? I am debating about these two partner or Mirisi breaker of the coil. I have everything needed for for birthing pod combo
What’s the plan to win if you have your root maze out? Do you remove it for the birthing pod combo or do you just go for old fashioned combat damage?
You can consider cards like Noxious Revial as "Silver Bullets" cards that doesn't serve a major purpose except: "Incase of emergency, shoot it."
Great distinction regarding stax. The goal should always be to win. Blood Pod is never going to be as fast as some other decks so it needs to slow down enough to win........and then win not lock the game and force people to concede out of frustration
I got force of despaired last time I had the kiki combo out and felt soooo bad
I have a sneaking suspicion that blood pod really benefits from other peoples stax pieces
Honestly at the end of the day winota reins Supreme. I've never seen a game where there's a winota player and another stax player that didn't result in the stax player just enabling winota and assuring her win. Idk just my experience
@@WhoTFareyou2 you are right. It’s more of a joke since Dylan brings up how good his favorite deck is into stax every time someone plays a hate bear.
The word you've been looking for is non synergy lol great video
How in the world did you get the new Boseiju??!! The set didn't even come out yet.
These are great! I vote jeska/ishai jeskai next!
I love that other decks are MetaPod and ButterFree, two Pokemon
Man this is music to my inner jund boi
i think elesh norn may have been worth the mention as a stax piece as well, a lot of creature based win cons and combos are shut off. Just to name a few the kiki-cat line in this deck doesnt work, dualcaster-twinflame lines dont work, witherbloom apprentice/chain of smog is shut off, kinnan is shut off, most of winota is shut off.

P.S. Thanks for the content and it was super cool to learn more about this deck that ive come to love from seeing on so many videos and playing myself
def. That's one thing I wish I would have mentioned. That Elesh is a miror breaker/ stax piece FOR stax decks
Call me crazy, but I've recently started cutting sylvan library from my cedh decks that don't have a significant amount of lifegain (I.E. Ikra/Kraum). I play in a extremely creature heavy meta, would Blood Pod be good in that meta? If not what is a good suggestion.
15:10
I usually say non synergistic if that helps
This feels like if maverick from other legacy formats hadn’t fallen off, and seeped into cedh playable.
Will you ever use pod to grab a stax piece or would you typically just go straight for the combo?
usually combo. there are some situations when it can be right to get a stax piece though
Video comes out 22 seconds ago
The comments: Such an informative video
Quick q: with ranger captain at which interaction point would you go for to stop an ad naus deck - if they go on an endstep do you crack it on their upkeep? Do you respond to the ad naus with the crack? Thanks
depends on so much. I might crack on upkeep if the naus on endstep though, depending on what the naus shows. unless I thin they can win at instant speed.
Could cam make a video on his jeskai deck? Jeska ishai is so fun!
Could you do an episode about a hermit Druid deck?
Hmm. Blood pod. The archenemy to my pet deck: Blue Farm
I think Dylan was trying to say he “avoids Non’bos” lol
