Hahahahaha I like how you skipped all through the rules, then the first thing that happens when we go is you BREAK THE RULES BEFORE WE START 😂😂 great moving with you bro!!
I think an explanation of the rules is definitely nice. You can always just do a thing where you give people a time stamp if they wanna skip to the action.
Seth talking about Sumo was really funny. You can see he's passionate about the topic, but when contrasted with your "do, not talk" approach, it creates comedy gold.
At that weight, everything hurts you, man! He just taps you in the fact and he can KO you. I spar with gus 230, 240 and I am 160. It is brutal. They are being nice with me too.
Yeah honestly the three of you and Wonderboy’s channel are all I watch in RUclips these days! Thank you for your efforts and work towards this sport :)
I enjoy the style of Seths videos. I feel like he has a good balance between explaining the stuff that needs to be explained without over explaining the things. However i also think your breakdowns of the sparring sessions are great, cause you explain the important stuff right along side the why and how this was setup and stuff. Also yeah more behind the scenes are always fun to watch and interesting. Also love how you try to learn from every person you spar with and try new things
I like how Seth explains the movements and the mindset behind the martial arts he's practicing or learning, and gives insight into how what he already knows translates into something new.
Jeff, I gotta say, that going against a MUCH larger opponent definitely highlighted your skills! I do think Seth was trying not to hurt you accidentally though... LOL... Dude outweighs you by almost 100 lbs. LOL
Speaking for those of us that are not sumo wrestlers, seeing the rules would be cool. Your technical breakdowns are very informative, your explanations are direct and I don't think it would come off as long winded.
@@MMAShredded hi. Maybe you could just put the whole explanation in, but set a message with a time stamp so people who just want to see the action can skip if they choose to. Also wouldn't you get more money for a longer video?
My two faves as part of the comp out in Australia. Both bring different forms of expansive knowledge, with a lot of a taste for more learning... and both humble with healthy egos. Chubby surprise vs shredded steel
When he lifted Sensei Seth off the ground and took him down I went WTH? Great content as always! Love seeing more of the avengers of youtube martial arts getting together, hope more members get added soon!
You only started appearing on my feed after episode one of Rokas' Self Defence Challenge but I'd say, yes, you should include more bts stuff. You are hanging out with a bunch of interesting and Funny people, it'd be nice to see more of your interactions with each other. The good thing about Sensei Seth's videos is that usually he makes me laugh while entertaining and sometimes teaching me something, same for Icy Mike, even though their sense of humour comes across as different. If a video actually makes me lol I give it an automatic thumbs up.
I always liked that youre more of a fighter then a youtuber vs how these other martial arts channels make content, so I would just stick to ur own style but do whatever makes you happy!
That is the nice things about the collabs: you start from the same material but each party can post their own take and editing as they like. It doesn't have to be like that for every collab event, though.
Hello Jeff, I loved your collabs with both Icy Mike and Sensei Seth, and I think that showing a bit more of your personality would be great! You seem like a great guy and knowing more about you would surely be great
I found this video from a post on a sumo forum! As a huge sumo fan, I love Seth's passion. Would have loved to hear his entire unedited run-down of the sport with you! He seems very humble about his knowledge of it, as well!
I like behind the scenes. Especially with these well known martial arts youtubers it is interesting what you guys are talking about. I love the collabs. I like to see more.
Pretty variety of styles, Seth is getting good at a lot of different martial arts. Hope seeing you spar Gabriel Varga one day because i enjoy a lot wthe ones you had with champions🙂
I really appreciate the straight to the action philosophy of your videos. I'm tired of listening to people talk before letting me watch what I'm actually here for.
Super useful to see wrestling with such a huge weight difference. I'm always curious to know which techniques would work in such scenarios, and such footage is rare
Jeff showcasing why size does not matter BUT why it also does, plus this really highlights how good seth is as a striker like wow i rarely see heavyweights move this well and his IQ is insane too, i would live if seth sparred a few ufc heavy weights cause i do believe his style is a lot like Cyril gane and we know in pure striking that cyril does very well vs the heavyweight top 10 in the ufc.
Awesome as always, wish I could move like you. Seeing seth move so well is very inspiring though as I am 6ft3 and about 230lbs. Trying to get the weight down though because I'm probably carrying about 20 to 25 pounds of fat.
I think you two would be amazing partner in a comedy cop movie a la rush hour. The funny big guy who talks to much and the silent stoic killer. Thats a movie I would watch!😆😆😂😂
I see your learning from what the guys told u about showing your personality which is great bc u have a good personality and ppl that don’t watch enough aren’t gonna be able to see it
I know you have to make the vid like this because nowdays attention spans are on the canvas.btw excellent channel, content, skills, and physique my guy
I underestimated the value of Sumo wrestling in a real life situation, but this inspired me to learn Senegalese language in order to learn Senegalese wrestling
Dont worry too much about retention Jeff, most people just wanna relax, chill and enjoy the content. Unlike breakdowns, this doesnt have to be compact for someone to digest. For a collab like this, aka a relaxing chill video without that much knowledge to digest, be relaxed with the editing :D. Just my personal opinion! keep making contents!
I flipping love the behind the scenes extended dialogue. Sensei Seth does a great job of conveying his passion through words. However, i also enjoy the condensed feel of Jeff Chans content. The direct to the point leaves little fat to trim off the bone. Both have their merits. Wish i could have.both versions. A condensed version to get me into the subject matter, and an "uncut" or extended version if im really interested in the details.
Easy for me to say since you have to worry about the algorithm and have to do all the editing but I personally enjoy watching the full length content and listening to it all. I can always do the skipping myself if I need to.
I do enjoy hearing you speak more, i enjoy seth too but in general i come to your channel to hear your views. I also watch seth and others but i want more of your thoughts/breakdowns expanded just a bit :D
I think Seth is low key becoming next Bellator's Heavy Weight Champion. Like... one day he's gonna pop up a video "I decided to try pro MMA at a major organization to see what it's like" and in six weeks he's punting Ryan Bader off a bridge.
I would like to see both. Variety is great. Some straight up sparring videos (, some techniques tutos like you do sometimes) and some in depth videos with more discussion. :)
Hahahahaha I like how you skipped all through the rules, then the first thing that happens when we go is you BREAK THE RULES BEFORE WE START 😂😂 great moving with you bro!!
LOLLL true true. can't wait til the next time!!
@Sensei Seth. That's actually how Jeff's mind works.
"So the rules are..." (the remainder is left as an exercise for the viewer)
😆😂🤣The rule is to win Sensei🕺
Sensei, you need to go for the legs more. Seems like you were only trying Judo throws during the freestyle rather than single legs or double legs.
Yup... I do not want to get into a sumo ring with Sensei Seth ever again...
Hahahahha
Great content Rokas!
PTSD kicking in lol
It's not his fault you guys did not 5v1 against the sumo wrestler when you had the chance.
I think an explanation of the rules is definitely nice. You can always just do a thing where you give people a time stamp if they wanna skip to the action.
thanks for the feedback!
Yes I actually wanna hear it despite being well known I sumo. Good video. Enjoyed it very much 🥋🙏 Ossh
Agreed, I wanted to hear what he had to say regarding sumo. Probably as interesting as the reasons behind Wai Kru in Muay Thai.
Agreed 👍🏽

Classic comedy duo of the wise guy & the straight man...
Seth's grappling has improved so much thru out the years since I started watching him. Cool to see
He’s awesome !
@@MMAShredded Yeah he's a real martial artist
