  • Breaking Age Barriers: How Black Women Navigate Discrimination in the Workplace
In this video, we explore how age discrimination affects Black women at work. We discuss why some people think older women can't contribute, and why younger women aren't taken seriously. This issue hits especially hard for Black women, who often face unfair treatment at work because of their age. Sometimes, they're seen as too young to be taken seriously. Other times, people assume they're older than they are, which can also be frustrating.
We share real stories and give tips on how to show employers your skills no matter your age. So, whether you're young, old, or somewhere in between, age should never be the deciding factor in how much respect or opportunity you get. Everyone deserves a fair chance to show what they can do, no matter their age. Watch to learn how Black women can fight ageism and get the respect they deserve at work.

Hello! Ageism is really a problem. I am almost 61 years old and I have always liked studying. But I must confess that people, especially young people kind of look at me with strange looks.

@monicaaparecidaoliveira8063, thank you so much for sharing. We're so glad to hear that you like studying and we hope you continue to do it no matter what kind of looks come your way. People are often jealous of a life-long learner, because they will always know so much more than them. Keep doing you, friend!
