Meanwhile Malik Willis and Green Bay absolutely lit up the Tennessee Titans in Week 3 of the 2024 NGL Season.
As bad as Clifford was in preseason games, he somehow was worse in portions of practice that were open to the public
I think it’s because he has a very great raw talent that the Packers believe Matt LaFleur can unlock

They could probably rest Jordan Love in the final week of the season and play Willis but thats it.

I feel like the packers might be trying to use malik willis similar to how the saints use taysom hill
I knew it was possible the Packers would trade for a backup. But not a guy with a bigger contract than Willis at least.
Makes sense. Guess they feel his ceiling is higher than the others. Potential provides opportunity. Ego does also. Green Bay's powers that be feel like they have what it takes to "fix" Willis' shortcomings.

Willis hasn't shown me enough to make me think he's a QB2. He has some of the worst pocket presence I've ever seen in the NFL. If something happens to Jordan Love, their backup option is no better than Sean Clifford would've been.
