They used both modern logos for both teams? Who knows that type of stipulations Washington and the NFL has on the usage on the logo.

I think we can also look at this from the perspective of what is takes to host the college football championship and if they'd call it quits for that rather than another venue taking place. If the CFP team is expecting the same treatment as hosting the SB but with significantly less revenue share then yes it'd make sense to drop out of hosting the championships if they can't do anything else for up to a week or so beforehand.

I just remembered that American Airlines Center in Dallas could also host preshow concerts or other events.

I think Dallas/Fort Worth does deserve another chance to host the Super Bowl. For one thing, if the temporary seats are installed, the attendance could be 104,719 (103,219 [Super Bowl XLV] + 1,500), which would be a game record. For another, the NFL could take advantage of new site choices that have opened since: Super Bowl Opening Night could be at AT&T or across the street at Globe Life Field, the AFC champs could use Choctaw Stadium, the NFC champs would be at The Star (Cowboys' practice facility), and pregame concerts could use Dickies Arena in Fort Worth or College Park Center in Arlington. The Esports Arena could also stage events, perhaps including NFL Honors. Also, I hope that the public transportation system has been upgraded in the last 15 years or so. I did not know that was a problem during Super Bowl XLV week.

You have no clue what you’re talking about. Fox’s graphics team can’t use the Redskins logo because it violates section 1.2 Trade and Service Mark Rights. Under said section “the National Football League and such member clubs, and third parties own all Trademarks in their respective products or services, whether or not appearing in large print or with the trademark symbol. Unauthorized use of any such Trademarks, including reproduction, imitation, dilution or confusing or misleading uses, is prohibited under the trademark laws of the United States and other countries, as applicable”. Fox likely already pays the Commanders and the NFL for their symbol and would have no reason to shell out more money to pay for usage of the Redskin’s logo, which would violate this copyright clause. The symbol is in the photos however which is likely the part that they don’t need copyright rights for and is in the background of the same photo you’re complaining about. All this shows is that you have no idea how copyright works. Another thing, that’s not the Lions logo from 91. It’s their current logo. Lmfao. They do the same thing with the Titans/Oilers.

To be sure, the F-worders have never known how to broadcast a football game; and that, in spite of having basically inherited the CBS crew during the network switch three seasons after the game in question was played. Granted, the people from CBS did the best they could. But, they were having to swim upstream against an obvious lack of real support from Murdoch. And, thirty years later, with mostly their own crew, it’s actually even worse. This is noted in the form of announcers who yell (instead of speak) during big plays so that the viewers can’t make out what they’re saying because the words are that garbled. Then again, even ESPN has that problem. So, it must be a generational decline in the quality of announcers. And people wonder why I prefer radio announcers from the local networks.

Probably not the reason, but could be a possibility since I’m going to it next week in Indianapolis, but maybe AT&T stadium is possibly thinking about hosting a Royal Rumble for WWE. Normally the Royal Rumble is held towards the end of January or beginning of February. I have heard rumors that like what they did to wrestlemania a few years ago and with this upcoming SummerSlam, they are thinking about expanding the Royal Rumble to possibly a two night event. Also, starting with this year, this is the first time that they are going to be hosting a rumble in an active NFL stadium as next week’s rumble is at Lucas oil Stadium. With Indianapolis hosting, this may mean that other NFL stadiums with a retractable roof or enclosed stadium would probably like to host one in the future as well.
