he's still going to stream elden ring shadow erdtree stuff, but yeah, not much else coming up. he'll probably just do like 4-5 short streams a year plus fromsoft games and dlc.

I am glad Jerma is still doing random streams though, I feel like no other streamer does it like him. I just wish I wasn't busy when he does stream, it seems like I haven't been able to catch a stream in months even before his retirement.
@@Lucifronz Hard agree. DS2 had a lot of good ideas, both gameplay and lore wise, but it simply was too janky. I truly believe if DS2 got rebuilt from the ground up by Fromsoft, it’d be just as good as 1 and 3. Demon’s Souls, as you said, gets a pass because it was the first. It’s sorta like a baby deer just after it’s born, its legs are all shaky and it doesn’t really know what it’s doing. It was the transitory phase from King’s Field to Souls stuff. IMO it’s still not bad enough to be the worst in the series, even in a scenario where it was released after Dark Souls 1. The atmosphere was PEAK in that game, and beyond DS1, I haven’t seen much of it since. While Elden Ring does have its moments, it just had too many quality issues for me to enjoy it. It seems that while they were making the bosses, they started to prioritize the cinematic aspects of the fights rather than combat. Combine this with bosses having more AoE attacks to deal with spirit summons, and some of these fights were just unenjoyable. The open world was truly empty as hell, and overworld mobs giving low XP returns didn’t make engaging in combat worth it beyond legacy dungeons. Every normal dungeon was put into the side of a cliff wall, so exploring the wide open spaces usually didn’t show you anything. If you wanted to find dungeons for more loot, you had to find a cliff and walk along it to find anything. At least Skyrim had dungeons in the middle of the woods. I could probably rave on and on, but no one wants to read that lol.
You gave a pass to Demon's souls for no reason and you're kinda making shit up to hate on elden ring, which is weird considering how much work they put into that game. You don't really say anything specific, just that the bosses "combat wasn't good enough" and "use aoe attacks". I'm guessing they use more aoe attacks in this game because this is the first one to have spirit summons... Calling the world empty is just disingenuous, especially when you compare it to skyrim lol Xp varies greatly based on what area you're in. I've never noticed any problems with that, and you shouldn't be grinding for xp in these games anyway. "Exploring open spaces doesnt show you anything" again, just saying things. Are you really telling us that the game wasted your time? Maybe if you can't navigate...
I had a dream that I was at Jerma's house for some reason and we were chatting and then I brought up how he doesn't stream and he burst into tears and broke down and told me all about how he's depressed and doesn't feel like it any more. It felt way too real and I can't shake that this is actually the truth and what actually happened watching this even though it was just a dream.
I'm so sad that Jerma is dead and I only get to see him for one day only, several times including the Elden Ring DLC, but only for that day only and then I'll never see him again until the next time I see him for one day only... :(

Honestly I could have never imagined Jerma falling off but this really proved to me that he's lost his edge as he stopped streaming as often. For as goofy as the video was it is kind of sad and upsetting to know that the prime of the greatest streamer of all time is genuinely over
